Little Inn By the Bay

Dont espect a lobby. But nice clean rooms. Good service and great location to walk around and enjoy the area.

My partner and I came out for a quick getaway. We are literally right by the beach, you cross two streets, and you're there!
The room rates were reasonable, the rooms clean.
Before I booked, I read some previous reviews about noise. If you're super sensitive to noise or need complete silence to sleep, then you're going to have a bad time. The Inn is surrounded by streets, so it's just city bustle sounds.
I'm not that sensitive and so slept well. We weren't here to stay in our rooms but walk around and go to the beach. This place is perfect. Also across the street is a donut shop and café. If you wake up and need a coffee, it's literally right there.

We stayed for our first time here and loved it! Perfect location, Love the walk ability of the area, 3 minute walk from the beach, tons of restaurants right by and shopping. The room was clean. The front desk staff was great! Preeta at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

I was able to get a early check in which was perfect since we arrived early and beat the traffic. It's a nice small place with only about 20 rooms. The room was clean and we felt safe there. We didn't take advantage of the bikes or beach equipment that were included, but will next time we stay. Lots of food in walking distance or that will deliver. The beach is about a 5 minute walk. We'll definitely stay again in the future.

Very good value and perfect location for a low-key visit to the beach. I can see my car from my room, they honored my request for a bathtub room and there was plenty of hot water. Please note the mattresses are on the softer side and you should bring earplugs as the walls seemed a little thin. I loved being able to borrow their beach cruiser bikes at no charge, it was a wonderful way to start an early morning, crusing the boardwalk. One suggestion for the maint. staff would be to install a few towel hooks in the bathroom. I just used the shower rod to hang my towel. Nice touches like live succulent decor and eco-friendly real mugs and stainless steel tumblers, not disposable cups. Good job!

I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the not so great reviews. I found my room #8 to be very nice. Very clean! I actually liked the wood floors because I find carpet gross anyway. With beach sand this is smart. The bathroom was not tiny and quite roomy enough but maybe the rooms are different. The beds are comfy with FOUR pillows on each. I love that. Two pillows are just not enough. Micro and fridge working well. TV was fine.
Regarding the other reviews about noise...yes, it's noisy. That is the trade off for being STEPS from the sand and water! And literally everything you may need is within walking/bike distance. There is a busy restaurant/bar adjacent and a busy liquor store next door; however, they both closed at 9 or 10...maybe different on weekends. I LOVE the location. I will for sure stay here again! If you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs?

It was Great! 500ft sand awesome! Surfers 1st light! Beds nice. Slept well the shower! Pressure is king!! U wont be disappointed.

We stayed in the Laguna suite with the in room hot tub. It was small, but clean. We loved the hot tub. The hotel loans out beach toys and bike beach cruisers. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. This was our 3rd stay at The Little Inn By the Bay. We recommend this boutique hotel.

Excellent location, great little gem, value for money!

I read the reviews on here and many other sites and decided to stay here and I am glad I did so and I will be visiting again and I recommend it highly.

Location - Excellent with only 2 mins walk from the beach with plenty of choice for cafes and restaurants.

Room - Clean, comfortable and quite with all required essentials.

Service - All staff were very welcoming and friendly and were ready to assist me and help when required.

Amenities - All expect amenities for this type of hotel are provided including free use of beach chairs, umbrella and bike which I was not expecting and came in very handy. Includes free parking too!

Value - Compared to many hotels in the area, this hotel is very well priced especially for the location. Good luck finding a better value for money hotel for the location!

Putting all above together, I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved this little hotel! We booked one night originally, but didn't have firm plans for what to do the next day. After we got to our room I went down to the front desk to book it for the next night as well. The room was one of the ones with a California king and a jacuzzi, but no balcony. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room had a microwave. The location was fabulous, very close to the beach, tons of stuff to do, and many restaurants. The only downside I can come up with is no continental breakfast, but there's a great little donut place across the street.

This is a nice spot. Super close to everything. Beach walking distance, restaurants shops, everything is nearby.

Also they have beach goodz to use for the guests including bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, towels, etc... super convenient.

It is a little small, but we don't spend much time in the room other than sleeping anyways. Go check them out!!

Great little Inn in Newport Beach. Have stayed there before and will go back again. The Staff is awesome, they let you use a free Beach Cruiser Bike while staying there. Close to pretty much everything.

Your Welcome but I was a little disappointed with the $75 charge for having a small dog that a friend brought with him. Had no idea that would be an issue.
Other than that we had a great time and thank you for for letting us use the bicycles , that was fun also 😀👍

This hotel is a small quaint inn,its so beautiful ,we loved it . Are room was right next to the fire department in Newport beach California, and when they left the station ,they dont use the sirens and we did not hear a thing . One thing is stay away from el ranchito. Yuk

Little Inn was perfect for our stay. You can walk everywhere from here. Short walk to the beach. Room was clean and comfy. Not super fancy or anything. Staff was nice. Overall we loved our stay!

It's a great place to stay for the Beach lover as it is a 2 block 3 minute walk to the beach, has a refrigerator and microwave in it too, will definitely be coming back!!!

I stayed in one of the more expensive rooms with a spa. It was really great. The downsides are their parking, which is pretty limited, unfortunately. The in room spa was wonderful and it really is situated in a fantastic location. I can't wait to come back!

Great location in the heart of Newport Beach. Right off the beach, comfortable bed, good restaurants near by. Hotel offers beach chairs, umbrellas, and bikes.

Location is top notch and Kevin at the front desk was very helpful. We enjoyed the use of the cruiser bikes(free!) for a nice ride by the water.
