Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach, an IHG Hotel

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The young man at the front desk was very friendly and cheerful, which made for a good first impression. Rooms were quiet; we didn’t hear any of our neighbors. It is located on the Pacific Coast Highway, which can be noisy and gridlocked during rush hour. The breakfast selection was huge and had a large variety of items to choose from. Rooms were clean. All in all, a very nice stay. Highly recommended.

This was one of the cleanest hotels I have been in on our travels. We were there for a week and they cleaned our room daily with fresh towels. The breakfast was great as well and the ladies that cleaned and stocked breakfast kept everything filled and hot. The coffee pot no sooner was out and they were bringing more. Plus nice selection of breakfast items. It is close to everything too. We highly recommend and will definitely stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed our brief stay! Specifically, DeShawn! He made our check in very pleasant and had a great sense of humor while being very thorough! His customer service was perfect!

The room was a typical room and extremely clean. The breakfast hit the spot and the workers kept everything stocked - they too were very kind. Great customer service!!!!!

The staff is incredibly accommodating and professional. We were really, really impressed with this hotel. It was clean, easy to access and nearby everything we wanted.

It is a budget hotel, don’t get me wrong. But it is clean, it is safe, the food is excellent, and the staff is so kind. Special thanks to Deshawn, Daisy, and Steve for making my stay so great. I was attending a conference at the Balboa resort, and I didn’t regret staving myself $1k with the ten minute walk even for a moment. Also, hot-take, I think the Holiday Inn’s continental breakfast was better.

We have a short layover in LA, Holiday Inn has been the best place with phenomenal clean room and most friendly service of all the last minute bookings we had.
Thank you Antonio for this wonderful breakfast, and Rebecca and her long-term lodger manager at the front giving us lots of restaurant and sightseeing suggestions. The location is right off the highway, very conveniently close to all downtown/ Santa Monica/ theme park areas.

We love this hotel. The location of great, it’s nice to always have a parking spot and also easy access to everywhere you would want to go. Raul is maybe one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, Ely was our cleaner and she was fantastic. Thank you!

The location is convenient. Directions of how to get into the hotel by car could have been a bit more clear. The building is not very sound proofed. Staffs are wonderful, the front desk, breakfast lounge, and housekeeping personnel are very helpful. I want to give a shoutout to Antonio Lolie and the front desk person (didn’t get her name) when I checked out. They are both very helpful.

We came to this hotel from a bad experience with renting an Airbnb. We needed a place to stay for 6 days. Not only did they have a room available, but they were very affordable and sympathetic to our situation. The room was clean, maintained everyday, and very roomy for 5-people. Breakfast was hot and ready every morning. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Especially Raul Guillen, the young man that checked us in! He was very friendly, professional and courteous! I would recommend this hotel to friends and family, and would stay here again if in the area! Thank you Holiday Inn Express staff and Raul!

I love walkable hotel areas and while PCH is not the greatest to walk along there are plenty of areas to explore. Also not far from SNA. The beach was a walkable distance at under 30 minutes and there are plenty of restaurants around. I usually avoid the ground floor but here I still felt safe.

The room was a bit dated and small but super clean so that is the most important thing, and house keeping did a great job keeping it that way. Maybe it has been a while since I stayed at an IHG property, but even breakfast was better than average.

DeShawn is definitely a customer service rock star, and he definitely is how hospitality should feel!
(I am now rethinking my hotel loyalty strategy after this stay)

They charge for parking but I suppose that is to be expected given the area. I was a great place to stay for a business trip, and I would consider staying here for vacation too.

I'm a bit delayed in my review of this hotel, but to put it short and sweet...it's wonderful! The location is kinda funky though (across the street is a lovely mobile home park LOL). It's very close to the water, but don't expect a view of anything special.

What the hotel lacks in good views, they make up in great service, conveniences and cleanliness. Like I mentioned, they are close to the beaches, but also close to the marina, shops, and lots of cool little restaurants. We've been there 2 or 3 times already, and will be back again. Very professional all around.

Clean, quiet - I never heard a door 'slam' shut during our stay. Didn't hear any other guests ever. SOOO nice! Will definitely stay again. Employees went above the call of duty to help in everything.

Great experience checking in at our Newport Beach location. Deshawn was professional, friendly and extremely proficient with getting us situated. We will be coming back for sure with the rest of our family to experience the rest of Newport, and an additional stay at our favorite HI location. Thank you!

Faby gave exceptional service this morning to my wife and myself. We came to stay after the loss of my mother and everyone has been great here at the hotel. We will stay again. Room was clean and breakfast was good. Faby went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you

Lolie and Antonio are amazing during Breakfast time. The rooms are super clean. This is my second time coming here and will definitely return.

This is a very nice place to stay. Very clean and the service staff is professional and friendly. It is close to restaurants, Lido and Balboa. The rooms do need updating. We would stay here again. There is parking overnight so you don’t have to pay the parking fee if that is an issue for you.

Clean and comfortable, exactly what I needed after a week at the hospital and a horrible hotel that I won’t name. Deshawn deserves a raise. He’s a true representation of what great customer service is all about. Dont hesitate to give him the growth opportunities he so rightfully deserves.
