This was legit! The people were so kind and the super asada burrito they made was delicious. This hole in the wall is the best spot in town! We found it because it had a lot of good reviews and it was seriously so good. Recommend for sure!

Delicious Mexican baked goods, and some of the best taco’s I’ve had! Beautifully served with roasted onions, jalapeƱo, and lemon on the side along with a fantastic salsa roja. Was a fantastic stop on my way up the valley.

Great Mexican food, very authentic and it felt like eating homemade food. It was very well flavored and they put a lot of meat in the tacos. The ladies working there were very nice and friendly as well. They also offer a big and very good dessert selection, so don’t forget to treat yourself with something sweet. Very happy that we found this place and will be returning in the future!

This place is amazing. All the reviews are true.

We live in Oregon and my kids want to plan another trip to California just to eat here again.

My teen said "Please have them cater my funeral."

Really good tacos for take out with handmade tortillas. Small bakery with no seating, food took a while to come out. But tacos were really great in flavor and large, $3 each as of March 2023.

Nice little mom/pop shop serving delish Mexican food favorites (tamales, burritos, tortas, classic Mexican plates/dishes, sweet breads desserts 🍨). No seating, but great customer service

Ordered birria, canritas, and carnes asada tacos. Everything was amazing. great spicy salsa, handmade tortillas, lots of meat, quesabirrias were large and cheesy, good servings, definitely coming back. Wouldn't doubt everything on the menu is the same great quality

Tight fit, but they sure do have all the goods. All the baked goods looked and smelled amazing. I had lunch, and my burrito was very good, as was the salsa.

The people here are wonderful! I selected many different baked goods, and I was given a sample of one I did not choose, which was close-your-eyes good. Easy to get to, easy parking - if I am in this area again, I will return. I am traveling on with a big smile on my face!

Steak tacos are very tasty. I’ve stopped by twice now in different occasions. Highly recommend this place. Call in to order in advance.

I didn't take pictures of my food. No regrets though, hands down a spot to stop by for your Mexican food or desserts/pastries.

Food is fresh and every penny you spend is worth it.

Elaborate menu and choices for such a small spot. Lots of meat to choose from.

I had the torta and took home tamales. Also had some sugar cookies with my morning coffee. Wrapped and packaged beautifully.

Difficult to see from the street and is located at the corner of a small lot, can park on the street or by the library. Tight spots inside the lot itself but our SUV fit.

No spots to eat in or outside but feel free to enjoy on the ride home.

Will definitely return in the future to try more of their menu items.

Great food, friendly and fast service!

This place is a little hard to find. We had to circle back around to find it. The entrance is actually on the side of a building.

The torta and burrito were perfect! The bakery was also delicious! Don't pass this hidden gem up! 😊

Don’t waste your appetite anywhere else in Greenfield, especially not at a fast food restaurant. This place is excellent and boasts a bakery to sweeten the deal. The tortillas were thick and homemade and the freshly made carnitas was tender and juicy.

Great authentic Mexican food! Homemade corn tortillas. Everything is very good. Their Menudo on the weekends is delicious 😋 great prices. Homemade style champurrado and a great assortment of Mexican pastries! The best Tamales in town! I highly recommend El Tamalaso! The owners Cesar and his wife are great people! Very professional. My husband and I go there often! I always get the short ribs in salsa, it’s delicious!
Seriously it’s a hidden gem! 💎

Very quaint spot on main road with wonderful pastries of all kinds. We came for the tamales and they didn't disappoint...Best corn ever. Refried beans freshly made. Caesar was very hospitable as well.

Great food, nice people!!! The Chile verde burrito and their tamales were terrific. Can’t wait to go back and try more stuff on their menu. Their pastries were great as well!

Stopped in for a breakfast burrito, Chorizo, and very pleased with the food. I also bought some pork and chicken tamales and 1/2 pound of Chile Verde. I'm looking forward to eating all of it, and visiting again!

I just finished a carnitas torta. I know it’s gonna mess my truck-sized dumpy up later, but as I currently bathe in the afterglow of its splendor, I feel loved. It was simply built didfrent, simply hit didfrent.

I felt inspired to write this review after seeing a user named Israel A. spread rumors that this establishment sells COSTCO tamales. He conceded in his review that his uncle bought them as well and LOVED THEM. So what story is it Israel?

While I didn’t eat any tamales, I did see them being made. They were beautiful. Moist. Cylinders of passion. Israel A. this is a public challenge to try their tamales again. You’re a coward, a cheat, and have no pallet. Keep talking smack, and you might just frick around and find out.

Everytime I visit Greenfield, I stop at El Tamalaso. Their food is delicious, warm, and most of all, made with love and care. The pan dulce is the best pan town. The owners are very friendly and helpful. For food, I recommend the tortas for a quick bite. But if you're there on a Sunday morning, the menudo and birria are to die for!
