Willamette Dental Group - Tacoma

I have an infected tooth and was able to get in the next day for an emergency visit. This was my first time going to Willamette. I went to the Tacoma location. The dentist and whole team were absolutely amazing and kind. They were NON judgemental and patient with me as I don't have the best teeth and have had bad experiences in the past. But everyone in the dental office were so kind and took the time to hear my current issues and what I would like to work on in the future with other teeth. I hope others are able to have the same experience, dental trauma is real and this place helps work past it all in a positive way I feel. Thank you to the whole team that helped me the other day!

I visited their Denture Specialist Jennifer and her Assistant Kaeland and cannot rant and rave how GREAT these two are! They work so well together and they work well with me the patient, listening to me and explaining things to me clearly. They were very friendly and I'd recommend them to anyone, especially if you're uncomfortable around dentists.

Dr Denslow is very young; yet he is knowledgeable and skilled. He has pulled several of my teeth and I haven't suffered any ill effects. In fact, I recover quickly. I think he has a great future ahead!

My first appointment was amazing!!! Hygienist: Hailey and Dr. Clemons provided exceptional dental care! The team was professional, attentive, and courteous! I just wish that could get in sooner for my next appointment. However, I got on the cancellation list.

Here’s to hoping I am scheduled sooner than a month and half out. Fingers crossed! Thanks again for your hardworking dedication, going above and beyond in dental care, and making a difference in our smile!

Everyone from the front staff, to Rose, Kelly and Dr Clemons and staff that checked your out at the end was extremely positive. They explained everything that was going on. Discussed options. Made sure I was comfortable. All around positive and reassuring. I am at ease and am more confident in getting my dental work done. Thank you for all you do.

I have gone to Willamette for many years. I switched to a cheaper one a few years ago and was not at all impressed, so I switched back to Willamette as soon as I could the next year. Both the dentist and hygienist were excellent. I had the most thorough but gentle cleaning from the hygienist (McKenna) this year than I have ever had. I was so impressed.

I have had the best experiences @ Willamette. At my most recent visit the dentist assistant mentioned a root canal that I had and I argued her down that I hadn't had one. After looking through my records, it was confirmed. Who forgets they had a root canal??? Well, I remember being terrified due to hearing everyone else's experiences with getting a root canal. However, my experience was so pleasant, I forgot about it all together! I've had my molars pulled, braces, referred for jaw surgery (w/the top jaw surgeonin the WORLD), 2 root canals and most recently a cracked tooth fixed and of course my yearlies. All that said, I've been a Willamette client for 18 years and have always received great care. My only critique would be the frequent change of doctors, but there has never been a decline in care which is most important to me!

I needed a tooth extraction done and I had not gone to a dentist in YEARS because I am absolutely TERRIFIED of the dentist. Dr. Smiley was the oral surgeon I saw for my consult and he patiently walked me through all my concerns, and yes, I am the person who cries just getting a consult or simple X-rays done. Dr. Smiley spent so much time with me to help alleviate my fears and concerns, and I knew i was taking up too much of his time, but he didn't show any impatience or frustration with me. The day of my surgery, he was calming, reassuring and spoke to me throughout the procedure to let me know how things were going. If I could have scored 10 stars, I would have. No one likes going to the dentist, but someone like Dr. Smiley make a big difference in someone like me being more willing to take care of my mouth. Wish he could be a regular dentist for me!

Dental assistant Rose was PHENOMINAL in making me feel at ease, in what would normally be a very stressful appt (tooth extraction). Nothing her and Dr Clemens were nothing but professional and personable!!

If you need dentures, Willamette’s Tacoma office is for you - you won’t be sorry. The denturist, JB & his assistant Anna are top notch. Haven’t received better care in 30 years!!
