Amy recently held an open house in HB… she was rude and unprofessional.

I was/am looking to purchase a house and thought that Huntington would be perfect. When I arrived she said that after I viewed the property I was to check in with her and she would give me a “letter of interest” if I wanted to write up an offer. Then she said only if I am selected may I write up an offer. I asked for the letter of interest and the instructions stated that I would not be allowed to access the property again. My offer was to be non contingent and giving the sellers 15 days to stay in the property at no charge with no money held back for my security. Mind you, I am well versed in distressed properties and comfortable with fixing a house… this property was in original condition with a pool that did not hold water and an agent that would not let you view all aspects of the property bc people lived in the house.

That being said, I would have still submitted an offer if this agent was just a little respectful. Not just to me, but to many others looking at the property. She talked down to people. Brushed off questions concerning the property as if they were stupid questions to ask. Heckled different agents for not having a business cards. The list goes on…

Lastly, I never leave reviews. But this lady upset me so much that I felt others should know my experience. Mainly because she is a licensed real estate agent. She has a fiduciary duty to represent her client. In this case, she turned off a potential all cash buyer, that most likely would have paid more than the asking price because of the location. Amy, you are rude and unprofessional, plan and simple. Real estate doesn’t need people like you in it, it is already stressful enough. I hope you read this and reflect on your actions. Others look to agents for guidance and you did a bad job with this potential customer.

I do hope this home finds a buyer expeditiously, and the sellers are able to move on with their lives.

To the prospective sellers or clients thinking of using this agent… think twice.

Amy is very rude and unprofessional. We were willing to work with her in buying a house but her response made us put an offer elsewhere. She needs to be more humble.
