ALC Preschool

ALC has absolutely exceeded my expectations and has been AMAZING! I currently send my 3 and 4-year-old there and they love it so much. We've been to another school and other preschools really don't compare. And believe me, I've sat in on days and truly seen what the day looks like. I'm also a developmental optometrist and treat little ones with visual processing deficiencies and specialize in helping children with sensory and developmental delays, so I've been very involved and done research on preschools and how my little ones are spending their days. 🤓
ALC has been so amazing and absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way. The student-teacher ratio is better than anywhere else, there are amazing hands-on activities with more sensory learning than you could even imagine. The parents of the other students there are so amazing and as a single mom, I've been so thankful to make some really amazing parent friends. The teachers are so patient and caring and have created such a warm environment that my kids run on to school hardly giving me hugs because they love being there so much, and I practically have to drag them out of the school to go home, lol. 🥰
If you'd like to set up a tour, Jose will get you set you all set and he is just the sweetest person you could imagine. He's so passionate about development and dedicates so much time to creating the most amazing environment.
I know how hard it can be to find a nurturing and encouraging place to send your little ones off to while you're away at work and this school has genuinely brought tears of joy to my eyes and relief to my heart as I've felt the inevitable mom-guilt of heading off to work. I'm genuinely just so thankful I found them 🥰

My grandchildren go here and they absolutely love it. Every time I have been to the school to see them or pick them up, they are always having fun and excited to share everything about the school and what they have learned and the fun activities they have done. I have definitely felt like the entire staff truly and deeply cares about these children as they do so much more than the other schools in the area. I am so happy my daughter found the school to send her children to. They are thriving and absolutely amaze me with how well they’re doing.

My son graduated from this preschool and transitioned amazingly into kindergarden. He was extremely happy at this school and also learned English very well, which is not our mother tongue.

Currently I have my daughter enrolled. First she was enrolled in the two year old program and now moved up to the three and older group. She is thriving and loves all the teachers there. I am always amazed what she learned during her day at school and I like the natural materials they use at the school. It's very much focused on nature and the Reggio approach. I would recommend this school 100%.

I highly recommend ALC Preschool. Both of my daughters attended and started at about 2 years old and they loved every minute of it. The staff is so attentive, knowledgeable, and loving, I’m so glad we chose this school. My kids loved the teachers so much they felt like family and they were so sad to leave when it was time for kindergarten. Safety and security are extremely important to me and I always felt comfortable dropping my children off for school because I knew that they would be taken care of. The school does a great job of creating a fun learning environment where the children and their families can come together to create a supportive community.

My daughter went here from 2020-2022 and it was by far the most positive experience we have had. I researched so many options and ALC was the most affordable, flexible, and inclusive.

Highlights:
-Their Reggio Emilio philosophy is child-centered and the teachers act as partners in the learning process. They let the kids explore their own creativity and individual interests (I.e. art, music, garden, animals, play) and also work on collaborative projects together.
-They treated my daughter with respect, patience, humor, and unconditional acceptance of who she was. They don't tolerate bullying or hurtful behavior.
-It was easy to communicate with the staff through their app and get photo updates.
-Easy pick-up and drop-off routine. Very safe and gated so the kids could explore freely. Lot of nature within the space.
-The staff were genuinely caring, engaged, and playful with the kids. Especially Jill and Jose.
-My daughter blossomed into her own person because she felt safe to express herself in her own way.
-I felt a sense of community among the parents and staff. All hard-working and down to earth people from diverse backgrounds.
-Good ratio of boys to girls. The kids all played together well.

I am so glad that they focused on her social and emotional growth and well-being FIRST, because those are the skills that developed her critical/ independent thinking, self-control, self-respect and conflict resolution. I can see now the long-term impact that ALC had on her early years and where they helped to fill in the gaps that busy parents and educators may overlook.

I love this school. My two kids are growing and maturing in amazing ways. My 4 year old tells me about her school adventures and her friends at school. She told me I should use "magic" words like "please" when I want to interrupt her cell phone use. She talks to me and my husband and really talks about her feelings and ideas. The kids really are bonding and working together with the other kids in ways that that they find so satisfying. Her "important" birthday wish was to share her day with her school friends at her house and do bubbles together and have no crying and no sadness. My 2 year old is telling me things about bugs and recycling. He is following his sister with early reading and counting. The school is not taking credit for these advances, but I give the teachers and the Director a lot of credit for nurturing the kids' curiosity combined with instilling self-awareness and compassion for others . The results are truly amazing!

I’ve never seen anything like it! It makes me want to just play all day with them! Real instruments, a sound wall, butterfly garden and wonderful ways the kids can authentically play. Both my kids are in the program and I’m amazed at the awesome way they are learning!
