We were recommended by some friends to check out this place because we wanted to taste some authentic Khmer cuisine. We were not dissappointed one bit! We tried the Phnom Penh Special both with liquid/noodles combined and with them separted - depends on your preference. The broth was perfect and I like the light, fatty meat and the cilantro garnishes. The place was small but felt cozy. Depending on the time you go, there may be a wait. This place is not ideal if you are a large crowd and want to sit all together, unless you are fine with sitting at separate table, which we were. The service was excellent and the pricing was reasonable.

It was one of my favorite noodle houses to go to in Long Beach. I really love the broth as it's clean, and they reuse the bones that they used to make it as part of the dish, which shouldn't go to waste. Super fast service, and I also love the noodles well. If you're in the area, you should stop by!

Anything you get is bound to be delicious. You can ask for soup on the side for your noodles or have your noodle soup served altogether. They're usually pretty busy but it's definitely worth the wait. This place is a must try.

Phenomenal. Three of us came by for Friday lunch. At 1pm, only two of their ~14 tables were available. By 2pm, it was just us and a handful of other tables. Service is fast, and the street parking is doable, especially on Sherman Pl. Credit card accepted!

My friend and I shared a dry Phnom Penh house special ($15 for a large) and a fish rice porridge ($15 for a large). And wow, the broth in both dishes was fantastic. The noodles were a bit sticky, but pouring in some broth helped loosen them up and add great flavor. The cha quai (which I know as you tiao, or Chinese donut stick) was fried well and dipped wonderfully in the rice porridge.

This place was a delight. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of visiting Phnom Penh Noodle Shack in Long Beach and I must say it was the best Phnom Penh noodle I've ever had. This place is incredibly popular, and it's easy to see why. Despite how busy it gets, the service is friendly and top-notch. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the experience, and I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped in. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you check out Phnom Penh Noodle Shack. It's a gem and not to be missed!

Talk about a hole in a wall. Blink once, and you'll miss this place. It's a quaint restaurant along a busy street mostly dominated by houses and a few random shops. Parking is hard to find, so you'll have to circle the block a bit.

There is a waitlist option at the front. We came on a saturday at 2 pm and it was 80% full. I can't imagine it at peak hours.

On to the food, the beef stew was out of this world. I'm partial to anything that has tomato, tendon, and tripe in a sentence. So this was a no-brainer. Finished that to the last drop. Tried the loat cha stir fry noodle with egg on top. It was good, quite particular, but not my favorite. Then also had the cha qui or the breadstick. It inherently has very little flavor, but it was moist and also good. Portions are huge. For 2 people, these 3 items are definitely a lot. We didn't even get to finish the loat cha. We paid ~65 bucks for all these items.

Overall - Decent prices, great quality food, hole in a wall atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

A super pleasant surprise. This is my first time trying Cambodian food. I got the beef slices & meatball noodles dry with soup on the side. I thought the noodles would be plain, but they were stir fried with garlic flavor and quite delicious on its own! Squeezing a lime on top helps balance out the slightly oily, garlicky, slightly sweet savoriness of the dish, so I do recommend using the lime slices the dish comes with.
The broth on the side came with like the head of a pork shank with meat on it as well. It was a pretty hearty soup full of collagen that gels up the soup when chilled. Flavor wise it was a little sweet for me though. I preferred the flavor of the dry noodles by itself, so I'm very glad that you could get it separately.

Super authentic and delicious Cambodian food! The menu is pretty extensive and the servers are happy to offer a recommendation. The restaurant isn’t very big so be sure to put your name in ahead of time or be prepared to wait - it’s that popular! You have to get the fried bread to dip in your bowl. It’s amazing!

Great place for authentic Cambodian eats. Peaceful atmosphere and attentive staff.
Good vibes and good food. And there’s a kneecap in the soup that you can bring home to your dog. AND it makes the broth delish.

Been meaning to check this Cambodian restaurant for quite some time, always seeing it while driving by in Long Beach.
What a great way to spend the first day of the new year eating Cambodian Cuisine.
My family had nothing but a great experience. Wait time for the busiest time of day during lunch was about 20-30 minutes, however well worth it.
Their food was truly amazing and authentic to my appetite and hunger.
Place is well organized, clean, friendly/excellent service.
Parking is a challenge and you may have to circle around the blocks, however worth the hassle.
My daughter & I had their Student Noodles, wife had the Mo Noodles, and some Thai iced tea to wash it down.
We'll definitely be back to try other food items on the menu.

My uncle recommended this place since we were visiting the Long Beach area. Surprisingly it was delicious! Never been to a Cambodian noodle restaurant before, but I'm glad I did. If you are a fan of Vietnamese and Chinese rice noodles soups, you have to try this place! We ordered their special number 1, 2, stir fried rice noodle dish, meat bread, and their long bread. We were happy with all the dishes. You can tell their broth isn't made with a big amount of MSG, no dry mouth or sleepiness at our meal!

Wonderful place!!! Parking can be more desirable (street parking). It's on a corner, small restaurant but phnom(enal) food 😅😅👌👌👍👍. I ordered the special (the number 1) large with soup on the side with fat egg noodles!!! Also ordered what I call Chinese donut to dip into their rich broth, hence the reason why I had the soup separated. The noodles are hearty and chewy like an Al dente firmness. The broth came with a nice chunk of pork bone. Had a hot tea and a hot coffee with condense milk. Our waitress is very nice and hospitable. She knew the menu quite well and answered all our questions. Overall, it is very comparable to Kim Ky noodles in San Gabriel, if not better due to the crispyness of their Chinese donut (I had 2 orders since they're were that good).

The real taste of my hometown Phnom Penh cambodia noodles soup. Strongly recommend beef Lotchha. Oh my god that is super super yummy! Don’t forget to ask for adding extra fried egg on the top. If you love Cambodia’s Foods, don’t forget to go to this place whenever you visit Long Beach California!

The wait wasn't too bad for a Saturday morning. 20min perhaps. So good. Will have to go back to try out different items on the menu.

Every time I am in Long Beach, I have to hit this place up. They make the best chicken congee I have ever had. Their noodles are excellent as well. I love supporting Khmer businesses.

You will not be remotely disappointed eating here! Hot tip: get wait listed on Yelp so you won't be in line for too long!

Buzzy, popular Cambodian restaurant with noodles and soups. Came here on a Sunday around 1pm for lunch, and I’d highly recommend putting your name on the waitlist via Yelp beforehand. It was an hour long wait and the restaurant also closes at 3pm on Sundays. Otherwise you can also put your name on the machine outside and someone will call out your name. There are some benches outside for you to wait and there’s no parking lot but there is free street parking. There’s one unisex bathroom that is wheelchair friendly. There’s a 3.99% fee if you use credit card, so most people just bring cash.

Food-wise, I really, really enjoyed the broth from the soup. You can pick the noodles you want and meats for certain dishes, and honestly the broth for the soups was something I couldn’t get enough of. It tastes homey and clean and so fresh. You could also customize your dish with the various sauces and condiments (fried garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, chili, etc) but the garlic and the chili was were definitely my faves. The lort cha (#16) was my fish and though the noodles looked like little maggots, the texture was so good and you can tell how fresh it was. I got mine with pork and I liked the tiny bit of caramelization and how juicy it was.

My one qualm is that for the meat bread was stingy with the meat. We got two ($2.25 each) to split among the four of us and while the taste was good (it’s like a Filipino empanada), we wished there was more meat. The breadsticks were good ($1.25 for two) but they’re like the Chinese bread you get at dim sum so nothing that impressive. I’d focus my attention on the soups and noodles ($10 and under) and I’d get the large size (note there are kid sizes available too). Service was quick and efficient. Overall I really enjoyed the food - be prepared for a long wait but satiate your hunger with a well deserved bowl of soup.

Quick and easy. Place is cute and the food was amazing. I got the number 16 with chicken and added peanuts. The chicken was so tender and fall apart. Also got the bread sticks and those were delicious as well.
The parking isn’t the best but the food was amazing.
