I’ve grown up around the area and have been a long time customer to a few barbershops until I get fed up with barbers messing up my haircut. I know that frustration. At The Upgrade Barbershop , you’ll find that this establishment lives up the name. I’m pretty particular when it comes to my haircut, and I have not experienced that frustration here. Every barber here takes pride in their craft and it shows on everyone I’ve seen walk out with a fresh clean fade. I myself go Ray. You tell him what you want, he’ll deliver and make you laugh while sitting in his chair (Laughs are free of charge). To make an appointment use “The Upgrade” app (they have their own app!) and your all set. If you haven’t yet, give them a try.

My 1yr old boy was a walk-in and they helped us out as soon as we walked in. Luckily they had a spot open. They did a great job as he was a mover! I would recommend this place for sure. All the fellas had good vibes.

Solid barber shop located on the El Monte-Temple City border. My barber Andres is absolutely top notch one of the best in the entire San Gabriel Valley. There are many other talented barbers at this location especially the one directly opposite of Andres. Those two are some of the more senior barbers with skills to match. Use booksly to guarantee a cut, as walk in time may be very long.

Ray Charles is the best! I can’t recommend him enough. A truly great barber, I’ve followed him to different shops because the quality of his work is so great. He takes his time with his clients to ensure a great haircut. You never feel rushed in his chair. I’ve counted on him to make me look good for everything from job interviews and date nights to football tailgate parties. Whether it’s a Mohawk or a combover, you can count on him to get you looking your best.

Great place to get a fresh clean cut! They always make my son and I look razor sharp. I'd call ahead for availability, or even better, schedule an appointment in advance. Oh, and don't forget to tip your barber! 😉

My boys are6 and 9. PICKY AND ANTSY. First thing out of my 9 year olds mouth I think we're coming back here again mom. They put on spider Man for the kids which was nice of them. Everyone was very nice I was offered a seat, and water. My only regret I only had enough to tip one barber $5 and the other $2. They both deserved $5.
Also ZERO waiting. Not for the lack of customers but because they were well staffed.

Got hooked up by ray hands down best haircut and shave of my life great customer service came out looking and feeling like a new man probably one of the last REAL barber shops out there
