Los Angeles Harbor College

This school made me the person I am today. Everyone here was awesome and super friendly from the teachers,staff, campus police to the students. All made my first time here a wonderful experience. Especially My Theater Arts teacher Juan Baez. He helped me tremendously in every way from public speaking, to learning about theater, being a good mentor and a good father figure to a lot of students. Loved this school. Thank you so much.

I graduated from this school in 2016 with associates of science in chemistry. The staff is so caring and the faculty really care about the students. There are some professors who are worth their weight in gold.

If you find yourself having trouble in math or English, the tutoring center is filled with patient tutors who help you get through the class.

The library is full of computers to do your homework and books for references. And the librarians are very helpful.

I like plus it's a great place to go to for community college and a good park next door

Lots of parking, helpful staff, many updated bldgs in recent years.

Wonderful facilities, very accommodating staff. We just competed in a High School Football game vs Carson High School. Pretty much everything was at our disposal. If it wasn't so far we would love to play there again.

As a returning-seasoned student, I am glad to have had the privilege to have Micaela Murillo as my school counselor. She goes above and beyond with her services. I also had a good experience with Maribel Costa today at SPS. In general, the classes are great! Haven't been on campus since 2018, so many changes. Overall a great Community College.

Wonderful going back to my community College I spent years taking classes before transferring. The campus was ans so so different and more functionable than it was in the late 70's.
Simply excellent.

I love the school but the phone service could be better like when they call you and you call back the number is not in service and it's irritating and in my opinion rude seems to me they need a phone person for every department. Oh and the food in the cafeteria could taste and look better

Edit: I graduated in 2019 and I’m proud to be a Seahawk!😁. My experience at Harbor college was amazing I gained so many skills that prepared me for the next level in life. The phone lines are better now 😅. The year I graduated we got a campus upgrade and a top notch kitchen. Over my time here the food got better cause the culinary department listen to the students and made changes. Thank you Harbor College for a great college experience❤.

Great school with great staff Financial aid is easy and they are really nice and are willing to help you out.The teachers are nice and great specially if your majoring in arts the teachers are cool. parking is little chaotic but arrive early and you wont be in the chaos. Its hard to get into classes but if you register early for classes you wont have to deal with that . Really wish they would give LAHC more money to open up more classes its a really great school might come back to get my A.A in Arts later in the future or soom Graduating this 2014 :) Thanks LAHC you guys rule !

Like the school and the programs. The professor in school are motivating but I can not say the same for the financial aid office and their supervisor these ladies are prejudice judgy and if you don't keep up with their standard they will take their sweet time before they can process you. They make you feel like you were in a bank begging for $$$.

The staff at the student service center, the admissions, and the testing center are so~wonderful. They are friendly even to high school students who want to take classes here. This is not the case at some other community colleges. A wonderful job, Harbor!!!

All I have to say is I love this place I love the colony arts department I love the new area where we can meet up at students the art galleries amazing the art Department amazing the special ed department for students is good also there's a pretty decent selection of areas to eat within driving distance if you're not interested in eating on campus also there's some pretty decently priced Apartments you can rent also here's a tip if you want a good counselor speak with Donald he's the person you want to be referred to immediately if you need help in college

My experience at lahc was so wonderful I'm in training not a full time student in culinary arts but definitely going back as full time student. My teachers chef ming chef jimmy and chef Jackson and of course chef Juan are the nicest and helpful teachers you can meet they movaited you and make sure you don't give up They have help me alot and wish eveyone support there culinary program because everything they do goes towards the schools

Love this school, just hard getting into science classes but has great caring teachers. Peaceful and so much cheaper than a 4 year college especially with fafsa.

Was my first time there, so friendly ppl, we lost there at first and very kind employee show us where to go.

The teachers are nice, and they're dedicated to teaching. There's a lot of peaceful places to study.

This is a really good beautiful college this is where I'm going to be studying and being good Forever with all my studies.
