The Learning Plaza has been our school for going on 8 years now, this being our last year. They've had some ups and downs. I feel they are on the upside now and still climbing. The new principal, Mr. Kanga is the best. Very involved and personal. The teaching staff is wonderful and the office staff very helpful and friendly.

I voted for the approval of this facility and I live around the corner assuming that it will be beneficial for children's that live around the neighborhood. I tried so many times to enroll my grandson that live with me for kindergarten prior to 2017 school year and was given round around information by these employees and my grandson ending to a private kindergarten school this year paying a monthly tuition fee of $750.00. I am so disappointed with this facility not being catered for the children's in the neighborhood as I expected. Instead, it was intended for those who know who, even if they don't live in the neighborhood. What's not fair is if an applicant don't know somebody inside to pick their lottery application, then the chances is zero. I hope that the process in getting neighborhood children's to this facility is the priority, and if this process cannot improve soon, it is unfortunate for those who doesn't have a voice.

I was a PLP student I have been there kindergarten through 8th grade and I promoted class of 2016 best teachers and staff I would give them five stars but worst administration you can have at an IB school I was bullied in everyway you can think of I was bullied about my race I was cyberbullied and physically bullied being pushed and shoved I told and told on these people so many times I was even threatened my life and administration as in principal and vice principal didn't care! which was expected from them anyway they only care about their "favorite students" "their children that went to school there" I lost all hope for them in the beginning of the first bullying which were my bullies and their friends I was told I was stupid and dumb I knew wasn't true so I didn't believe it ("because of my disibility which is not noticeable someone told someone and everyone found out") I have knee issues ("which is not a disibility") and it is very noticeable and thats when the physical bullying began because my legs were weak I came home with bruses on my knees from the slugging and how hard I fall everyday at school because of these bullies and so I told and told the principal that was insistant that it didn't exist I had proof on my phone all the texts of my cyberbullying and he said it was in my head so he didn't have to deal with the problems and the principals word saying "Perspective" is what got me mad but I told myself if no one believes you at school you know the truth and thats all that matters what made me mad is that all the little kids hugging the principal and the vice like celebrities which me the only one who knows the real person they really are made me sick because these kids don't know the other side of them and they are fake when this happens I don't like using the word hate but if there was a stronger word then hate for this school I would use it and im going to say it straight the vice principal treats us like zoo animals on display these are her words "look good" "the district is coming tomorrow look and be your very best!" "these are my best students because they are IB" "keep your grades up since we are IB I have high expectations from all you we need to beat the other schools so we are number one?!?" "COME TO THE OFFICE NOW!!" "YOU ARE THE WORST CLASS I HAVE SEEN TODAY DETENTION ALL OF YOU IN CLASS NOW!" "im disapointed with most of your grades" plus we heard all that most or some days when people visit our school like parents or district or important people we get warnings people are coming ahead of time we all older kids put masks on pretending to be all friends and family nothing wrong here since we are IB but once the masks are off in reality there is chaos everywhere bullying and problems I am well known there as a good student I love helping the younger ones which I was laughed at for helping by other students in my grade and when the teachers or people talk about how good I am and what a nice person I am the administration doesn't like it and they hear this at events or im right next to them I have delt with this for two years of this poor treatment at this school I have seen this school slowly callapse into what it is now "if there was an IB trait I have its RISK TAKER taking risks coming to school everyday knowing this terrible treament was going to happen with students and administration the next day." Im happy I do not go to PLP no more I would rate this school a zero but the lowest is one If your child is bullied tell them to never give up and they are not alone

By far one of the worst schools and admin. Bullying is horrendous but how this "IB" school handles it is even worse. Bully victims get detention and the principals don't do anything about it.

This school has gone down hill, the principal and vp are ridiculous... telling kids don't wear certain colors or someone will walk up to you and shoot you in the head... they need a principle and vp who has experience.
