Colina De Oro

On my first trip to Amador City and Plymouth, just randomly stopped at Colina De Oro and became a pleasant experience. Food was great, I ordered Chicken Enchilada, tasted like authentic Mexican cuisine. Great environment and friendly staff hosted me with smile and positive attitude. Highly recommended.

As an Australian, based in Australia, we don’t get bars like this.

Hands down, best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to! With such a remote location, I stumbled upon this gem on the way back from Daffodil Hill and what a fabulous way to end the day. Delicious homemade chips and salsa(complementary as they should be). Tender and juicy chili verde/ chili colorado and super fresh and crispy taquitos. I must add that their taco salad is the best I've ever had - it's made slightly differently than your fast food restaurant version, and so much better. Next time you're passing by, be sure to stop in and give them a try!

This is a very good Mexican place in an unexpected location. They have a good menu, and everything I've had had always been prepared well. If you're staying at the 49er RV park or just passing through, you owe it to yourself to stop in.

We went out for a foothills drive from the flatlands and stopped here for lunch.
The service was fast and friendly. The cost is comparable to other restaurants.
The food was good and we left full.

Great as always, my favorite Mexican restaurant in Amador Co. Had the shrimp fajitas and they were very delicious.

We are regulars at the Diamond Springs location, first time here. A funky, but cool, little spot. Different owner, but same family. Same great food and service. Excellent chips and salsa and a wonderful Chille Relleno!

Very excellent and fast service. I did have their margarita and it was delicious, as well as a chili relleno. Very fresh and FAST. My husband had a taco salad with ground beef. Besides being EXCELLENT there’s not enough left to pack home.

Would recommend based on the service! Very nice people and quick service. Food was decent and big portions. Helpful that it is open on Mondays vs other establishments in the area. Sorta dingy, but not bothersome. We enjoyed it!

Been there quite a bit and never had a bad meal. Service has always been good and unless the place is packed, the turnaround on ordering and getting your food is quite fast. Never left hungry either. Only complaint I've ever heard is that they serve whole beans rather than refried, which is something I prefer anyway, so it's a win in my book. There's also a full bar for whatever you need to accompany your meal. Overall, a great experience

I had Carnitas Taco Salad, It was delicious. Great chips and salsa. Good service. We had 9 people in are group and they handled it with ease.

Consistently great drinks, food, and service! The tea is always delish! My business partner, Jeff, says they have the best mixed drinks in the area! The food is prepared fresh to order. I’ve dined here a few times as well as grabbed take out a few times. Always delish! The take out portions are the same as dine in.

Stopped in here for the first time. We were greeted by a very friendly man who led us to our table. He was super kind and very productive. He essentially was taking care of all the needs of the customers during a busy lunch rush. Our server took our order and I asked for a little extra sauce on my rellano and she told me it comes with plenty. We saw her one more time when she brought out our food. My rellano.needed more sauce. That was the last time I saw her. I had to ask the very friendly guy for my check ( who I now asked his name its Craig). He made our experience amazing! Our food was all delicious.

The food is soooooo good and you get a lot of it! My favorites are the tamales and guacamole. Everything's hot and fresh, great service and a full bar. If you haven't been there, you're missing out!!

Great place!! Excellent food. Their Carne Asada is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Tender, and the seasoning is superb!! If you haven't been there yet, YOU'VE GOT TO GO!! The staff is very attentive, and very friendly. They will bend over backwards to keep you satisfied. Make it your "go to place" when in the area.😋
