Cute restaurant visited by many locals (always a good sign).
We went there on a whim on a Saturday morning for late breakfast - early brunch. We enjoyed some live music while we ate. Everything was good. The portions are generous. The potatoes were absolutely delicious.

We never miss a chance to eat here when we’re in town. Warm, eclectic, artsy atmosphere, unique menu offerings (and SO many… plus vegan!), delicious food presented beautifully, and friendly, attentive service. Thank you for making my birthday so special!

What a lovely find on a weekend morning! From the moment you walk through the door you are welcomed and greeted with kindness! The food options are really good and the breakfast potatoes are the best I’ve ever had! They are soft on the inside and super crunchy on the outside, just perfect! The quiche was light and the texture was similar to a flan, it was delicious. I highly recommended Rosebuds Cafe!

Delightful experience! Colorful café! Mom and I got the Salmon Benedict and split it, as well as got lavender mimosas! The lavender very much on the sweet side but definitely worth trying. I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place. It was fun to try something new in Jackson. Very friendly staff. The smashed potatoes were bomb! Also, yes, get the beignet donuts.

Still coming here a year later. Yes I got the other mimosa: much better! Always enjoy this little treat, here locally.

What a great place. Family owned and operated. They just exude happiness when you walk in. Lots of great vegan options. I had the vegan hash and loved it. Also great blueberry pie. Don’t miss this place.

You know what's a real shame? That we'll probably never get to eat here again. Life is full of regrets, and this is one of mine.
We loved this place. Get the beignets. Get the omelet. Get everything. I wish I could have tried the pork belly Benedict, but I went with the Monte cristo. It was very good, but my heart lies with hollandaise.

We were quite a big chaotic group and were in a hurry to reach Kirkwood for our skii lessons.

They managed to bring in our order quick enough.

I loved their Eggs Benedict, it has a veggie cutlet that I found really good.

They recommended their New Orleans style donuts and we tried it. I loved it. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice unique taste.

I liked their white chocolate mocha as well.

True perfection. Every dish is the best I have ever had. Eating the best danish of my life right now. Yesterday had the best Monte Cristo ever. The family that runs this place is the best too. Outstanding service, wonderful atmosphere, truly perfect amazingly delicious food.

Loved the outdoor seating option at this main street mainstay for solid dishes. Well crafted plates and super friendly staff. We got the blintzes and the bacon quiche, both of which were wonderful. Good drip coffee as well.

The food is delicious, fresh ingredients prepared with love and just the right amount of seasonings! The beignets were fluffy, full of flavor and divine. The mushroom quiche was cooked just right, with a perfect blend of tastes between the spinach, mushroom and cheese. The bacon sandwich was amazing!!

A true gem! Couldn't just pick 1 dish so I ordered both the garlic mushrooms with creamy polenta and the beignets. The polenta was smooth and creamy and just a bowl of comfort. The beignets were light and yeasty and the raspberry sauce paired perfectly! Will be back!

Really good food and amazingly friendly staff. Pastries are super tasty and all of the vegetables and produce tasted really fresh. It is a little dark inside but the food completely makes up for it and the overall atmosphere was adorable.

I have been here twice so far. I haven't been disappointed. The food and service is top notch. I have had the French toast, which is absolutely amazing and a French dip special. I had the potatoes with my sandwich, which consist of cooked red potatoes that are smashed and fried. My husband had the fresh French fries with his French dip. Both potato sides were fantastic. Both visits I have had the lemon drop mimosa and the blueberry mimosa. They are so divine, I looked forward to them on my second visit. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. I love the funky down to earth vibe they have there. This time I even bought a jar of jam to take home. If you want to eat at a down to earth cafe that serves farm to fork food cooked with care, this is your place. I couldn't imagine visiting Jackson and not stopping here. Go there, I will be shocked if your aren't in love at first bite (or sip).

Visited a friend in Jackson last weekend. We're vegan so we researched where to go beforehand. I couldn't wait to go here.

Upon entering the restaurant, I felt like I was back home in Philly. Loved the artsy atmosphere and the LGBTQ support around the establishment!

The food was phenomenal. I got to talking to both the owner and her son, both of whom were so friendly.

If I could give 20 stars, I would! Highly recommend!

I love this place. Rosebud's is located in Jackson. The food is so good. The owner said that the restaurant has been in business for 30 years. No wonder because I didn't want to stop eating!

The service was so friendly and fast! We stopped through town on a Saturday morning and found better vegan breakfasts than we do in Sacramento! There was also fantastic live jazz! So happy we stopped here!! Servings are huge, you can easily share a dish.

If you are in Jackson and looking for a place to grab a bite, swing by Rosebud's! I grew up in Jackson, having moved there in the early 90s and honestly I don't remember Rosebud's even though it's original opening was in 1948. Since it's reopening in 2012 (not sure when it was closed) it has become a much talked about stop when in town. Before moving away in 2006, you would have been somewhat hard pressed to find as innovative of a menu as the modern day Rosebud's provides.

When walking into the cafe, we were asked if we wanted a table or to place a to go order. We took a minute to make sure that the picky eater in the group could find something to eat on the menu (it happened MUCH faster than it normally does) so we grabbed a table in the back. Our server was an awesome girl with short brown hair and a piercing. She was very talkative to our less Jackson-familiar guests and made them feel very comfortable. The atmosphere makes you feel like you've walked into an old farmhouse kitchen to me with old pictures, drying herbs, various antiques, with the benefit of a piano and tiny stage.

Our order consisted of the Monte Cristo, Waffle & Chicken sandwich, build-your-own turkey sandwich, and Gardener's salad. The Monte Cristo wasn't the Disneyland version that I was used to (with batter all around the bread deep fried to perfection); but it was still very excellent with each piece of bread having been pan fried! It was especially good dipping into the jam! The Waffle & Chicken sandwich was honestly just okay. This was my personal order. I think it was supposed to come with syrup on it but mine didn't. Perhaps that was what was missing to bridge that salty sweet gap that I was really looking for when I ordered the sandwich. Before dropping off the salad, the waitress let our friend know that the chef had actually put a side of turkey on it and asked if that was okay. We really appreciated her asking just in case he was vegetarian or vegan, but he was totally okay with it and especially so after the waitress said that we wouldn't be charged for the error. The side of turkey was more like a heap, so our friend ended up very happy. The same can be said of the turkey sandwich because that thing was huge and the feedback was very positive. In total we paid around $35 for the Monte Cristo and Waffle & Chicken sandwich including tip, so it's a little on the pricey side but the quantity of food you get for the price makes it worth it. Almost all of us took home half of what we ordered because the servings were so big.

When we paid we also had a good conversation with the cashier who wasn't a Jackson native, but had found a home in our small country town. Overall it was a great experience and everything you could ask for when you are hungry: good food and great service at a decent price for a generous portion. Definitely going back again!

We almost always pop into Rosebud's when we head to Jackson. There was live music last Saturday. I tried the breakfast burrito, and I almost finished it til I ran into a little jalapeño heat!
