Out of the Closet - Berkeley

Much more organized and a better selection than the Goodwill stores in Berkeley. Goodwill however has more non-clothing items. The book area is particularly impressive, sorted by color, and the prices are even more so.

I saw most people came here for clothes, but they do have a huge collection of other things as well. Books for example, paperback 1 dollar, hardcover 2 dollars. I have no idea what those books are about, but as I went through the shelves I did find something interesting!
They also have quite a lot of vinyls and CDs, I saw some good CDs, some of those vinyls are also interesting, but I just don’t have a turntable with me in Berkeley to play records...
The clothes are also in good condition and very cheap, some are quite stylish!
People working in there are also very nice!
This place is surprisingly good!

This place has nearly single-handedly clothed me for the past five years. High quality finds from modern to vintage at incredibly affordable prices. I stop by whenever I need a wardrobe refresh and almost always find items I intend to keep for a lifetime.

Found so many good pieces for great prices. It's not always going to have hits, but this place has found me the most gems.

One of the best thrift stores in town. They have everything you’d need to setup your new home. And the money you spend goes to a very good cause ❤ staff is very helpful.

First of all, the book selection is extensive. Second of all, the woman behind the counter actually asked for my ID when I went to pay with my card. I said “thank you!”. So many people don’t do this, they don’t care or don’t know. I’m very impressed

I fell in love with this place! Good selection for clothing. Unhappily, most of the clothes I liked didn't fit me, but if you keep looking you could find some treasures 😉

I found several pairs of expensive reading glasses here very nice very well made and very excellent price I am very happy with my purchases...

Great value. Friendly staff. Good collection. You need a little patience to find what you love. But that to me is the real thrift store experience!

Not only do they benefit a great cause, but their selection and prices are better than the Goodwill nearby. It would be nice if the dressing rooms were a bit more private..

I hadn't been in on a while, and to my surprise...IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Something has changed for the better. And seems as though everyone knows, they have lines outside 😰

Found tons of cool stuff for a great price! also found a tommy hilfiger dress but it didn't fit me. Woman in the front was nice and helpful.

Favorite thrift store. They donate proceeds to HIV/AIDS research. Offer free condoms. Always a good collection of stuff at normal thrift store prices.

A thrift store stand-by with the best prices in town. Always something to find here. In addition to clothes they have books, DVDs, furniture and housewares.

Seems to be a location with lots of merchandise. Good prices on furniture. Benefits a good cause. Lots of interesting books. Sweet spot.
