Pros:
- No bugs
- Clean toilets, towels
- Comfortable and clean bedding
- Working amenities: TV, AC, microwave, and fridge worked fine
- The shower had good water pressure and warm water
- Coffee is available in the morning, and it was quite a decent roast
- Room was clean
- Good location

Cons:
- It's just a tad too run down. The carpet is too old, and is far past the point where it should have been replaced.
- Bathroom needs more ventilation
- Small lobby and no breakfast option (No space to put a breakfast even if they wanted to)

It's doing okay as a 2 star hotel. But I feel the location is good, and it has some wasted potential. Could have been a 3 star with a bit more planning and effort.

Regardless, if you want a warm bed and a shower for the night, it's a great option.

What I look for in a budget hotel is clean bed, no smell and properly functioning AC, nothing else. This hotel satisfies this criteria. Therefore putting 5 stars.

I stopped here as I found my way through South d.c and Northern Virginia. Smooth and easy process at the front desk. And just in case you were wondering ...This is NOT like the red roof inn or studio inn. This is of better quality. So don't let the name fool you.

Very good value hotel. Excellent heating, room is clean, bed and pillows are super comfortable, fridge works as expected, hot shower. Stayed at a non smoking room and I did not smell cigarettes over the hallway. Close to Reagan National. Gave me an hour extended stay. Worth to reserve a room again.

So I booked a last second room for the night here because I don’t feel like commuting back in the morning and I am very impressed right away. The place smells amazing and it’s super clean despite being a super old building. Parking is plentiful and easy. The staff is super friendly too!!! They are so cute and nice. Even have a little free coffee spot for us here and a printer. Call me crazy but I prefer this to any of the big chain hotels. I feel very comfortable here.

I had a great stay here! The rooms are very safe because the hallway and stairs are indoors. The staff are all very responsive, professional, and kind; they really took note of my requests and I felt so valued as a guest. Kim and Hiro were especially amazing! The bed/sheets were very comfortable, and there was great water pressure/hot water with a bowed shower curtain rod for more room in the shower. There were a few little signs of previous patches on the wall but it's not a big deal at all; it's an older building but it has everything you need for a comfortable and affordable stay. The bus stop is right outside, and to head into DC it's just a bit further down to bus to the subway. It's the best value for a tourist on a budget. Highly recommended!

This is my pass through location. I stay here on my way to various other places in the DMV. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The building is ginormous so getting lost is easy. The complimentary continental breakfast is decent and the dinning hall off the side of the lobby is large and comfy. They also have an outside garden area, which I've never stayed here long enough to enjoy it...

Reasonable rooms for reasonable prices, when I had a terrible time with Sonder hotels I was forced to make a booking for 4 days the day-of, rather than in advance. Even with 2 rooms left at the time, they were affordable, clean, and cozy. The staff at the desk were kind and helpful and assisted my friend in getting access to the room for me while I was at work. If it was this affordable, easy, and stress-free on a last second emergency booking, I have zero doubt they would be equally wonderful if booked properly in advance too. And a 25 minute walk to the metro (Clarendon station if I recall), so not too bad honestly for those without transportation who need a way to DC.

Im not going to lie I was a little skeptical because of the reviews but to be honest this was a great hotel for the price you pay. I have actually stayed at worse places that cost more . When I arrived I was greeted by friendly nice staff , housekeepers spoke every time we left the room and asked if we needed anything . My room was cleaned very well even spots that people tend to forget about like the phone, mirrors, and the Tv Remote. Yes the continental breakfast is just coffee but I wasn't expecting much since most places stopped that during covid anyways. This hotel is in a great location too and also offers a discount with AAA. So expecting the Hilton but paying $90 a night is ridiculous you get what you pay for and this is definitely worth it if you looking for something for a night on a budget!

Honestly, A pretty good place for the location and price. Clean, simple, rooms. Very thankful they had a free car park. All the hotels closer to DC had outrageous parking fees. Could use more outlets in the rooms. But other than that, I'm very satisfied with my stay here.

Me and my girlfriend just stayed there this labor day weekend. It couldn't have been anymore perfect. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was awesome. It was close to the bus like across the street and it was less than a 10 minute ride to the metro which we used all weekend. Front desk staff and maid service were unbelievable. Whatever we wanted we got. We are definitely staying there again.

I stayed at this inn, this past weekend (Feb 7-9) and I have to say, it surpassed expectations. I read reviews before booking and they were half good and half bad. For the price and star rating, I decided to give this inn a shot out of others surrounding the area. The room was clean and had a queen size bed, table, two chairs, a tv, free wifi, a mini fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was clean! Past reviews said that rooms were smoking and non smoking but they had a sign at the front desk state they were all non smoking for the consideration of other guests.. so with that being said, the room had no odor to it. By their dumpster outside were some toilets and mini fridges and a sign that said “undergoing renovation” so it seems they have read past reviews and are making a change. The inn was immaculate and the breakfast is just quick bites (bananas, yogurt, coffee, apple) but that worked for me because I wanted a small bite so I could enjoy dinner in DC. Speaking of which, there’s a bus station by the inn you can use to get to the subway metro station to get to DC and other areas. I have stayed at hotels for a lot less (as far as amenities, cleanliness, etc) that cost more! Their cheap price is amazing considering the cleanliness and amenities.

A lot of mixed reviews for this place. The pros: Cheap, very cheap. Comfortable and clean - it's not the Ritz but it's definitely not dirty. Bed was average hotel bed grade. Staff are friendly. Negatives: basically no soundproofing, although people get quiet around 10pm. Stinks of pot upstairs. Could be cleaner, but it's not bad. Not walking distance to the areas of Arlington with things happening, but does have a few things in the area. Uber or self-drive is possible. Metro is a short Uber away.

For the price 5/5. If it was twice the price I'd still give it 4/5.

This place was the best experience ever. We stayed here on New Years Eve and wow we had the BEST trip ever! The front desk gave us directions and train info and lots of great ideas for the night. Loved the location (even though me and my boyfriend had so much trouble finding our way back...had to Uber our fault though! !). It's up on a hill with a beautiful view. Great clean rooms, hot showers, and very wonderful front desk people throughout the night. They were so polite and understanding even in the worst of situations. We needed a little more help than the usual guests that night. Thank you all for being there for us. We will definitely be back again for another wonderful trip!!

Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, from front desk to housekeeping. The rooms are impeccably clean. The location is excellent, very close to several very good restaurants, and just a short drive away from the DC monuments. And the water pressure is the best I've ever experienced in a hotel! Highly recommended.
