Not what I was expecting but a very pleasant surprise. I consider myself a barbecue connoisseur, having eaten BBQ from all over the country. My first tasting of Suya BBQ. Note, it has more than one sause. I enjoyed the pulled pork platter. Wife had the Plantain with pulled pork which she loved. It really is a take out restaurant, with just a few seats at a high counter. Mostly used for people waiting for their food but some people do we eat there, picnic style with the provided utensils and knapkins. A family restaurant with many working behind the counter. Very friendly when it's not too busy. Our order taker, Desiree was wonderful and came out to join us, standing by menu on the wall to help explain some of the choices, with her own reviews of what she likes. Came over after we started eating and shared even more. Great for the atmosphere of a welcoming place. Give her a bonus. My last comment is the decorations on the wall. The US Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and a few other revolutionary war maps. You just got to love the sentiment. I'll add a 6th 🌟 for that. I be back and I encourage you come be surprised to and be open for a new tasty experience different than what you find elsewhere in Central Mass. Went here after my long day of work in the city. The chef had offered me a free sample of gumbo (with a lovely smile) he was trying out for the menu... and man I wish it had been. It was the best gumbo I’ve ever had. tender meat and great sauce.
I had ordered the classic skewers and a side order of fried green tomatoes. Tomatoes were golden and went perfectly with the sauce. Everything was superb- will be seeing you again Sloan! Thank you for making my dinner amazing.

Just learned about this place! Ordered a brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, and Mac and cheese. Person on the phone call was really pleasant and had our order ready in 15 minutes! Hope this restaurant sticks around. It’s really nice to have something besides pizza in a community. I will definitely be back.

Awesome food! The half chicken was phenomenal, had great flavor. Candied yams & corn bread were super yummy. We were impressed.

FALL OFF THE BONE TENDER BABY BACK RIBS!!! Finally something other than pizza in Fitchburg. Great staff, great southern style BBQ, collard greens, and suya style skewers with sauteed veggies and sweet potato fries! AMAZING!

Just tried this place for the first time. It’s the apocalypse, so trying new things before the end lol. Anyways, got the pulled pork sandwich and the smothered chicken. Both amazing. I hope the world doesn’t actually end cuz I have to go there again and get everything else in the menu.

We bought lunch there and brought it home, and it was so good! I was licking my fingers when I finished it! We will go back really soon! I't is great to have local small businesses!

First time trying, and have not one complaint. Was ready on time and still hot by the time we got home. Food was all very good!! Very impressed.

Very impressed, food focused place no bells and whistles, everything was clearly homemade from scratch and despite this the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

This is the best BBQ I've had outside of Texas. The ribs are very meaty and just fall-apart-tender
