VHC Health - Virginia Hospital Center

My husband has been in acute rehab at VHC for two weeks now. The staff and the nurses and the therapists and the aids are all amazing. They really care about their patients and also their caregivers. We feel like when we are released we will have the skills needed to tackle rehab at home. Thank you very much VHC and keep up the good work.

We had an outstanding experience with Dr. Rhee and his entire staff with my dad's recent open heart surgery. We are a large family with medical experience and knowledge, thus we were very nervous about this major surgery. However, Dr. Rhee and his staff made this entire process seamless from beginning to end. The secretary, Alena, coordinated all paperwork, documentation, and insurance needs and was extremely proactive. The administrative process can be daunting, but she relieved us of this burden and assisted our every need. She also put our minds at ease as she greeted us with a huge smile, positive outlook, and outstanding work ethic. His medical staff, including nurse practitioners and physician's assistants were extremely competent and thorough. At our consultation and pre-op appointment, they were thorough in assessing my dad's medical background and thoroughly educating our entire family, including my dad. the communication was outstanding with both Dr. Rhee and his staff. Not only did we feel completely confident about Dr. Rhee's competency and experience, but he went out of his way to be attentive to my dad, calm and compassionate. He visited him post-op every single day and was extremely thorough in addressing his every medical need. He spoke to our large family with so much compassion and spent so much time assuring that our every need and concern was met. We could not be more grateful for Dr. Rhee and his staff or recommend them enough. Last but not least, VHC was outstanding and we felt his care was well coordinated throughout his entire stay - every single RN went out of their way to provide excellent care, as well as the support team, such as occupational therapy, dietary, and respiratory therapy. Everyone made my dad feel as if he was the only patient and they were entirely dedicated to his well being and positive outcome. We could not thank them enough!

VHC is ranked a number “1” in my book. From the I entered my journey on 3/19/24 for out patient services on the 2nd floor the staff was extraordinary. The staff on 5B were outstanding too. I will be sending in individual paperwork for some of the 5B staff shortly.

The services that my father and family received from Doctors and Nursing staff was friendly, and ensure that I was properly informed about my father's health and care. The Nursing staff continuously provided a caring atmosphere to ensure the comfort of their patients. I applaud the level of commitment and passion that the staff has for their patients.

I brought my mom into for some out patient services. I can’t say enough how great all the staff were in each department.I work in the medical field. Your facility runs like a well oiled machine. Thank you so much for delivering excellent customer service and excellent care to my mom!!!!

My recent stay at VHC was the best hospital experience I have ever had from surgery to going home. I recently had lumbar fusion L5-S1 on 10/30/23. Dr. O'BRIEN IS the best and has given me a chance at a better quality of life again. Thank you Dr. O'Brien! My entire nursing staff was amazing and very compassionate. The one nurse who stood out for me was JASMINE on the 4th floor. She was not only excellent at her job, but she went out of the way to make me comfortable. Her communication skills were so appreciated. Her compassion was the best and I enjoyed her presence everytime she came into my room. SHE WAS NEVER LATE FOR PAIN MEDS! I know that I am not the only one She has blessed. She is a wonderful nurse and person. I pray she is blessed back in her future . My OT was great, My PT, Beth was amazing! She knew her job and was confident in her ability to show me new things, she taught me with ease and kindness! I want to thank my entire team at VHC for making it a positive outcome for me. Surgery is stressful and I can honestly say this team helped me through a very stressful Surgery with so much knowledge, kindness and hard work. Thank you everyone of you at VHC. Tracy Gilbert

I like this hospital, very clean and great staff. But I want to very much appreciate the lady that did my ultrasound in the ER, Miss Rosean, I’m sorry if I spelled her name wrong, but she made me feel so good, my pain went away. She was very polite and gentle, such a sweet lady. People like her deserve the world. Thank you so much Miss R ❤ I hope she sees this but I made sure to thank her face to face.

Virginia Hospital Center Love the service there they have really nice nurses plus experienced Drs I would like to take a moment And Thank all the Woman & Infant Department starting from the Dr’s to security Officers downstairs specially ,Erika Schilling, Alex, Sirena, Andrea,Mya, Destannie the Lactation also Stefanie the Patient Experience Coordinator who came by to ask if we need anything sorry if I forget any names you all are awesome and doing a superb Job.

I was here for a radiology procedure and nurse Jackie, Christy and Dr. Deon were amazing, compassionate and very knowledgeable. The facility itself is very well designed, well lit and clean - they have a wall fountain and a piano in the main entrance. The staff is very helpful and caring.

Preparation explanations and day of procedure treatment, care and information were excellent and reassuring. Dr. Herman, the anesthesiologist, nurses and assistants all made me feel well taken care of, safe, and ready to help with any further questions or needs. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital for labor & delivery. I had an amazing experience for the birth of our child. The doctors, nurses and staff were very communicative, supportive and caring of our wellbeing.

I entered the emergency room September 2023 via ambulance with a life threatening medical emergency. Upon arrival I was immediately assessed by two physicians. I was assured that I have come to the right place and that I will be taken care of. There was no mention of insurance. Instead a battery of tests was ordered and blood draws were taken. Nurses frequently entered the examination room to answer any questions I had or just popped in to ask if I needed anything. Within two hours my condition was diagnosed and a plan of action was explained to me as I was admitted to the floor. In addition to the excellent care I received in the emergency department, I was impressed by the cleanliness. As I entered the floor I was approached by caring and knowledgeable staff members that made my stay very comfortable to say the least. This hospital is a well oiled machine that focus on patient care and customer service. This is a reflection of excellence from top to bottom.

VHC Arlington: Outpatient Lab
Amazing experiences, 4 so far! Greeted and provided information, fast, understanding the needs of someone whose veins are VERY hard to find, positive, clean... I can go on and on. So glad to have a lab in the area where a person will feel as though they matter.

Always get great care at VHC. They're are very through and bedside manner is excellent. Things move quickly too.

We gave birth to our beautiful baby girl at VHC! One of my go-to stories is about the Labor and Delivery Nurses at VHC! Long story short is we were in L&D for ~48 hours/4 different shifts and I felt like each nurse was sent for that specific time. Sarah S. was amazing as we first got there and really made us feel comfortable. Fiona!! Fiona was amazing and had the night shift as labor really set in. From 7pm-7am I felt like Fiona was completely in control and did everything to make my wife comfortable (Fiona we hope you enjoyed the Nats game after you got off, baby girl is doing amazing!) Fiona sure enough introduces use to our next nurse, Amber, and on Amber’s second visit it was go time. If I ever get to see Amber again the chest bump will be awesome, Amber helped deliver baby girl! After that we had a few more hours with Nurse Stella who was the quiet calm that made us comfortable for our first hours as a new family. I’ll never forget the nurses for our baby, Erika, Mya, and Broke. It was a wonderful experience and while every childbirth comes with its difference experience, the one thing I will always remember is when my wife told me she felt comfortable and most importantly, safe. I have been a patient for years, but today I want to give the greatest thank you to my pain doctor, who went completely out of his way and personally wheeled me to X-ray because transport was not available! That is completely unheard of in today’s ’ society. I was in excruciating pain. Thank you Dr. Daniel Davis🙏🏽🙏🏽

If you're looking for a place to deliver your baby, look no further. I am originally from New York and moved to Virginia close to 35 weeks pregnant as I had plans on moving prior to finding out I was pregnant. The level of care I received here at this hospital was incredible. I had such anxiety about moving and it being my first child and the horror stories I kept hearing about labor. The Doctors and nurses here provided me with care that I'll never forget. I wanna thank Dr. Owen, Dr. Gorelik who actually delivered my baby and the incredible nurses I had. I will never forgot my nurses (Julie, Ayana, Makayla) there were so many more incredible interactions please forgive me if I forgot to mention, I'm still suffering from my mommy brain.

Nurse Julie, I have to shout you out again because the support and assistance you provided was God sent.

The staff here love their job and it truly shows.

I did a walk-in for a lab in the new (2023) outpatient building. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I have never been disappointed with the lab and imaging departments. Friendly staff.
