Crowne Plaza Crystal City-Washington, D.C., an IHG Hotel

Let me start by saying I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door , very pleasantly. Myra was the one who checked me in and she was awesome 10/10, friendly , knowledgeable and very helpful ! My room was clean . The breakfast they serve is delicious and the service in the cafe as well was exceptional. I will be returning again next time I come to Dc. The Crowne Plaza Crystal City-Washington, D.C., an IHG Hotel, offers a comprehensive experience for the business traveler. With a shuttle service to DCA departing every 30 minutes and its proximity to the airport—just one train stop away—it provides exceptional convenience for those on the go. Additionally, the hotel's market place is perfect for late-night snack needs.

Across the street, guests will find an Amazon Fresh, adding to the convenience. The staff is notably friendly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

The rooms are generously sized, featuring an extra couch and sitting area. This thoughtful addition allows guests to enjoy a break without having to sit on the bed, enhancing the overall comfort of their stay.

The hotel could enhance its guest experience with room updates, particularly by adding more accessible outlets next to the bed. The only power outlets available next to the bed are integrated within the lamps. This design does not provide sufficient space to accommodate the larger block chargers commonly used for phones, making it challenging to conveniently charge devices from the comfort of the bed.

It would be nice to update the bathroom space and transition from bathtubs to walk-in showers. These updates would further refine the accommodations to meet modern expectations.

Room was clean and adequate. Wish there were more places to hang clothes or towels. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. I wasn’t expecting them but just be aware. There are several food options available in the hotel. We ate breakfast and dinner there the food was good but not worth the cost but it was worth it for convenience. We came for the Marine Corps Marathon and this hotel was a perfect location for all things race related. It’s two blocks to a metro station making getting around quick and convenient. Parking is available in the hotel parking garage another expensive convenience. There are several restaurants and lots of shopping with in walking distance.

My company held a 2-day conference at this hotel for a total of 60 people. About 15 participants traveled from out of town and stayed at the hotel. The catering was excellent. The staff was attentive to requests for A/V support. Overall, this place offers good value for the money if you are willing to splurge for a special event.

Just wanted to share my hotel experience from the last two days. We got an amazing deal on this hotel, even better than booking a hostel! Great location near The Pentagon, little outside the hustle of the city.
Rooms and washrooms are spacious, clean and well facilitated. The hotel has a bar cum restaurant as well as paid parking facilities is also available.
Recommend place to stay if you are planning a trip to DC

This was my second time staying here. The staff, the location and convenience are top-notch; 3 minutes from the airport, and 7 minutes from the National Mall. What's not to love??!!! Also, shout out to Marshay at the Front Desk Check-In. Excellent customer service skills. You Rock!!

Our second stay at this location. Convenient location for food. 3 minute walk to Crystal City Metro station. Parking garage located under hotel, secure and easy. I think the parking garage has 6 ft 6 in limit.

Conveniently located at 1480 Crystal Drive, the Crowne Plaza Crystal City- Washington D.C. is just one mile from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Only a minute ride from the hotel, the Crystal City Metro Station provides easy access to Washington D.C. you can visit the Lincoln Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, or one of the Smithsonian Institution Museums, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

During the weekend Uberis very available at any time of day or night. The free shuttle was not available to us due to early morning flight. It will be better if you check the schedule at the desk.

Great location near the airport and also within walking distance to the Crystal City Metro 🚇. The hotel and rooms are kept in very good condition and great value for money 🤩

Loved the fact that there’s a Starbucks right within the hotel premises and there’s supermarkets and other shopping just across the road.

The staff was very helpful and the rooms were kept tidy and clean. Rooms had facilities to iron clothes and also to make coffee too.

Overall I had a pleasant 3 night stay here and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay near the airport with access to the rest of DC 😍

I stayed here in April to attend the Vietnam War 50th Commemoration on the JFK Soccer Fields adjacent the National Mall. The hotel shuttle was free and driver courteous, check-in was efficient, and hotel staff always courteous and helpful. The components of the exhibit I came to set up on behalf of the National Vietnam War Museum were shipped to the hotel and kept in storage until my arrival. I was a bit anxious about this but the staff handled it beautifully and had no trouble locating the boxes upon request. There is a bar but it doesn’t open until 4 pm and there is no complimentary breakfast. I was traveling alone and felt safe inside and outside the hotel as the entrance faces the conference center and one must intentionally be going there as opposed to ‘just passing through’.

Clean and convenient to Reagan airport

Shower pressure was great. Hotel & room were clean. Ice on every floor. Starbucks in hotel. Close to crystal city metro. Potomac Social was AMAZING! Everyone throughout our whole stay was very nice. We ate at Potomac social our first night and the food and service were so great we decided to go there for dinner all 3 nights we were in town. The servers in the restaurant were phenomenal! Our last night we ended up getting a complementary shot! Highly recommend this hotel due to cleanliness, location, amenities, and staff!

Great service, professional group of people. I'll suggest for the breakfast buffet they change the clean plates location or get a plate caddy. Current location creates a bottleneck since it's in a corner around food

A clean and cozy room, complementary airport shuttle(at gate 7 or the designated hotel shuttle stop. every 30 minutes). So convenient (adjacent to a shopping mall and Amazon Fresh)

But the best point was a warm welcoming from the front member. I really appreciate Ms. Virginia. She helped me to resolve my issue at late night. She was really kind and supportive for customers

I visited Washington and I decided to stay in Crystal City, just one metro stop away from the airport DCA. The hotel was really good. Good price. Clean rooms. Good beds. They have an Starbucks inside the hotel. And most important the metro station is just 5 minutes walking. You can go everywhere in Washington from here using the Metro. My suggestion if you are going to stay a few days, just buy the unlimited Metro Pass. Also, you will find good restaurants around this area. If you like Mexican, I will recommend to visit Tacombi. The coffee shop is also really good. They have an airport shuttle every 30 minutes.

This was probably the best hotel experience I've had in years, and I am a frequent traveler for work. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, particulary the front desk, Starbucks barista, and my new favorite bartender Said! Property was immaculate, the amenities were good (the hotel gym was one of the better ones I've used, with a decent amount of equipment), and there were multiple options for food and drinks onsite and nearby. The only negative was the bathrooms are a bit cramped - I used the entry mirror as my makeup and hair area because it was impossible to use the tiny sink and counter for much. Such a small thing though that it doesn't negate from the overall experience. I am hoping the summit I was attending returns to the Crowne Plaza next year!
