Sunrise Bakery

We were in a parking lot coming back from climbing and one of the owners kindly handed us a loaf of freshly baked focaccia- it was amazing! So flavorful and fluffy! We’ll definitely check this place out next time we’re in Lexington.

Had breakfast, lunch, and desserts all great.
Never a bad meal. Not many tables but you can take it out and tailgate it.

Get the cream cheese danish! Or anything, really, it's all delicious. They also have fantastic coffee.

Lovely little bakery serving some amazing baked goods and bread. The people are extremely friendly. Come in for a great bagel or cinnamon roll for breakfast or a delicious deli sandwich for lunch! Beware though! It all looks so tasty that you might walk out with more than you planned, but your taste buds will not be disappointed!

If you get the chance to go here on it is delicious. The sandwich of the day is always good. Their meats are paired perfectly with all the sandwich ingredients. The prosciutto was great. Going before heading down to the farmers market on Sunday is something I would highly recommend.

Everything about this bakery is GOOD! The owners, employees, and atmosphere is amazing. The beautiful baked goods are on display right when you walk in making you want to try one of everything! If I lived downtown I would be there everyday. My sandwich of the day was so delicious I didn't even take the time to take a picture!

I try to eat here once a week. Always busy because it’s so good! I call ahead and walk there from work. Great sandwiches and cookies! Great place to take out of town guests and get office party treats!!

This is one of my all-time favorite spots in Lexington. Everything is excellent - from the friendly service to the freshest baked goods. My personal faves here are the authentic italian-style deli sandwiches and the non-traditional cinnamon rolls.

The sourdough is amazing, as are all of their breads. And the croissants! Also a great sandwich. The cheese sandwich is my favorite (vegetarian, and comes with olives on the side, which the meat sandwiches do not). My husband prefers the Special sandwich (not to be confused with the Sandwich of the Day). Always delicious. Cash only.

These people are the best! So nice and what delicious foods! Selection varies but you can usually count on some staples (most of their loaf breads and chocolate chip cookies) but get there early because when it's gone, it's gone.

My only negative about Sunrise is that it isn’t open all the time! Everything is wonderful here. My personal favorites are the cinnamon rolls and the prosciutto roll ups. Definitely my favorite breakfast place!

If there's a crowd, make sure you speak up because clerks weren't paying attention and I was passed over 3 months ago for some girls that just walked through the door and jumped to the counter to look at the baked goods. The worker wasnt watching the door and waited on them first after I had been standing in line for 10 minutes behind a man placing a large togo cake order. Not happy that I wasn't noticed at all. So I left. But their coconut macaroons are awesome.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I've had their breads, cookies and vegetarian breakfast sandwiches and its all so good! Definitely swing by next time you're in phoenix park!

I live and breathe only to eat Sunrise Bakery's salt bagels. But also, like, I've yet to have something here that I didn't say "sweet jesus, this is delicious" while eating, so there's that.

Sometimes the wait is a little long, but its toootttalllyyyy worth it.

Spectacular! Loved all the pastries, baked goods, sandwiches, coffee... we had here. We were repeat customers in the few days we spent in Lexington. Highly recommend.

Wednesdays come and I'm chomping at the bit to get a sandwich from Sunrise on Thursday. Love the anisette cookies in particular, though they have a great selection, and the big cinnamon rolls are such a treat on Saturdays.

A warm from the oven salt bagel and Magic Beans coffee is one of life's greatest simple pleasures.

Locally-owned by some of the nicest people in the world. There is no better bakery in Kentucky.

Best bakery in the world and indeed some of the warmest and most welcoming owners. Excellent sourdough and the cinnamon rolls, with their bits of caramelized sugar, are to die for.

If you like baked goods then this place is worth a 500 mile drive. I give the cinnamon roll an 11 out of 10. Very highly recommended!
