Small place but super friendly and helpful staff, and found a record I really wanted for $16 that I had seen for $44 at Omega 15 minutes before. Wasn't gonna shell out $44 for it, but excellent deal and this will definitely be my first stop from now on!

Can't wait to visit when I have time to actually browse and find more.

This is the record shop Dayton’s been needing for quite some time. The type of shop you’d discover in Chicago, Asheville, or New Orleans. Where the weird feel at home and you’re not flipping through 200 musty covers of junk nobody wants you’d find for $0.85 at a thrift store. It’s eclectic, but curated, and you trust that if it’s there, there’s a reason. It makes you want to explore, get out of your musical comfort zone and broaden your idea of what music can be. The owner Luke genuinely cares, and as he's one of the leaders of the region's noise / diy scene I’m excited to see what kind of awesome performances and weird stuff will go down here in an area of downtown that’s going through major growth and revitalization.

Skeleton Dust Records is one of a kind. In curating the records at the store, Luke strikes the perfect balance of the familiar and the obscure. I always walk away with a new CD, tape, or record that I've never heard before. The quality of the media there is also top notch. To me, the atmosphere is ideal for record shopping-- welcoming and relaxed. In dedication to the form, Luke spins records from the store to create a warm ambiance conducive to pensive record sifting and lighthearted conversations. If you're in the area, check this place out.

I brought in some LP's in great condition. They gave me a fair price and I traded them in for an album and 4 CD's. Very friendly and the LP's are very affordable.

Great place. The owner (I think it's the owner) was very nice and helpful when I asked about stylus, record players and how to clean records. I will be going back.

What a great find! A treasure trove of great records one would expect to find in New York, or Chicago!! We are very lucky to have such a place in Dayton!!! My only complaint, wich is no fault of the store, is parking. I didn't have change for a meter. I parked in a lot where I wasn't positive it was ok to park in. For that reason I felt a little rushed in my search for records. Overall, the employee (maybe the owner) was helpful, but left me alone. He didn't rush me or make me feel unwelcome. He was thankful for my purchase and this is a place I will add to my monthly search for vintage vinyl!!

Excellent record store! I grew up in Dayton and was back for a visit. It’s hands down one of the best records shops I’ve been too. Great selection, wildly knowledgeable people, and on top of it all massively kind. I used to live in SF mad got definite Aquarius Records vibes from these folks. Seems like some of the best in the biz tbh. I also live in Berlin and have seen a record shop or two in my life. A+++

Very nice employees, great vibe, very nice selection of music, they had records playing while I was there. The employee who rung me out was very helpful. I wasn't able to find what I was looking for, and he looked it up and found it right away for me. Keep doing what you're doing!

I'm a picky guy when it comes to records and music in general, especially after spending 3+ years working at a record store. I say this with all seriousness intended: Skeleton Dust is phenomenal. It outperforms stores across the country in its pricing, grading, and inventory. I have at all times at least 50 records in my wantlist sitting at Skeleton Dust, and for a store as small as it is to have that is IMPRESSIVE. Luke knows what he's doing, and we'd all be better off if more record stores across the country approached the business with the professionalism and fairness that he and his staff does.

Great store! I make it a point to go to Skeleton Dust whenever I am visiting family in Dayton. They always have a great used selection and the staff is amazing about giving recommendations. They have ordered some records in for me as well. Fantastic customer service and all around cool people.

Top notch! One of my favorite record stores anywhere in the country. Luke and company are honest, friendly and down to earth folks. Always a great selection of any genre you can possibly think of. A great, almost daily selection of used arrivals at very fair prices with spot-on grading. Cassettes, Box sets, used stereo equipment, and a rotating dollar bin all add to the experience. Always helpful whether you’re ordering in store, online or selling records. A+.

I wanted to wait to write this until I had been here a couple times, and been to some other record shops. For Dayton, this is the better store. A more finely manicured selection. I find desirable titles, enticing. I don't feel like I am wasting my time sifting through duplicates of garbage. The store is clean, people are nice. Its a good experience.

This record store is definitely worth a visit. It is located in the up and coming Fire Blocks District in Downtown Dayton where a lot of progressive improvements have been happening lately, with new independent shops and restaurants opening. The shop has a very curated selection with a lot of unique and interesting finds. I was able to find three records that I think would have been hard to find elsewhere. The owner seems very nice and you could tell he has a lot of pride in his shop and selection. A great find in Dayton!

I’ve spent the past year beginning my record collection, and finding new places to shop. Finally made it to Skeleton Dust about a month ago and I was in love. Not only was it a cool space with a nicely curated selection, the staff was amazing and I throughly enjoyed talking with them. They were all so friendly, informational, and made me feel very welcomed. Furthermore, I’ve loved keeping up with their Instagram and seeing all of the interesting things that they bring into the shop. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

One of the best curations in Ohio — my partner and I make sure to stop by every time we are visiting. Luke is incredibly considerate and generous with his customers and keeps a steady pulse on a variety of genres. This shop is an absolute gem in Dayton. Jealous of anyone who is close enough to pay regular in-store visits!

I have had only one interaction with this store in person and many online! Always pleasant and willing to share knowledge that myself lack about old vinyl! Really like the mix of music you can find there. Great prices!!
