Holiday Inn Columbus Dwtn-Capitol Square, an IHG Hotel

My daughter was in children’s hospital and I needed a place for a couple days and it was perfect! Location was great and staff was very helpful! Rooms clean! And good food downstairs in restaurant

The room was very clean and nice. The staff was excellent! Burger Theory has a nice bar and really good burgers. We had a dinner and a few drinks. Excellent beer selection. Angie was an excellent bartender. But on the way out of the bar I dropped my credit card. Later on I realized it was missing. You know how that feels! We looked and looked and the staff tried really hard to find it. But no luck. We drove back to Ashland, no card. This afternoon I got a call and they had found my card! They are mailing it back to me. No fuss!! Praise to the staff! Our experience was excellent and it’s good to know there are good people that work with pride and integrity! Thank you to the excellent staff!

I always stay here for events at Nationwide Arena. It's less expensive than the other downtown hotels, but still within walking distance (just under a mile). Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, check out time isn't until noon which is great. If you are in town and looking for simple accomodations close to everything, this place is great.

We had 2 amazing women working up front, Orenda and Angelina, that helped us after a long day. They were so kind and went above and beyond what they needed to just so we could have a good night and be settled. They were so kind, it made our night.

We stayed for a family vacation. The room was enough for four people. We ended up staying in the hotel more than we thought, it was a fun place with kids. The pool is definitely more quiet during the morning, it is open all day long. We really enjoyed the breakfasts, it was big and reasonably priced. The dinner selection wasn’t too big, but everything was great. We are planning to return. Thank you for the great service!

Incredibly amazing and friendly staff, 2 ladies in the morning, 2 gentlemen in the evening - all were very attentive, very caring and helpful. Hotel is conveniently located downtown Columbus, OH and has all the amenities including a swimming pool and 24HR gym. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding and staff at the restaurant was phenomenal, even though it was busy at times. I had a great stay, rooms are very nice and clean, got everything you need. Rooms are pretty spacious and have a fridge too. The location and the hotel are safe, cozy and quiet.

We had to stay in town an extra day because of an emergency and the morning staff were absolutely amazing. They helped us find a room we could do early check in and were warm, funny, and kind throughout the check in process. The next morning, they remembered who we were and checked in about our situation and even offered suggestions for car rentals nearby. The room was clean and comfortable but it is the staff and their exceptional care and service that made a bad situation feel so much better. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, and everything worked as expected. No complaints on the location and price either. Free shuttle was great for the convention I was attending. The fan in our bathroom was non-operational, but we notified the front desk on our way out so hopefully it will be addressed. Parking price was better than most of the downtown hotels, but it is just a fenced in blacktop lot, If you're worried about that kind of thing. Overall a nice stay for the 4 days we were there.

We stayed for the Thirty-One Conference in July. Our room was clean. The service was excellent. Ruben was sweet, charming and created a special "Pink Lady" drink for us with the other bartender Daniel who was very funny. They were excellent bartenders and remembered us both days. Liz was the manager and also very friendly. We met many friendly workers like Emma, Katelyn and Russell. The hotel was nice but the personality and service was the reason we'd go back to this hotel.

Was in Columbus for a concert...Holiday Inn-Downtown you get a spacious comfortable room for a reasonable price...you are downtown & close to EVERYTHING

I stayed here last night and the people who work at this hotel are the sweetest individuals alive. The lady last night was so kind and helped me refund a room that an online vendor's computer system messed booked for us. Then this morning the nicest lady ever helped me check out. 5/5 stars. I love the kindness of columbus

Front desk people were amazing. Breakfast was phenomenal

Visited in late September. Front desk and shuttle were helpful. Shuttle driver was awesome as he drove us to see a punk show and told us about all the bands he saw in his day. Also had a conversation with a man who worked at the hotel restaurant and the overall vibe, service, and friendliness we encountered made me happy we chose Holiday Inn for our visit to Columbus. Room was very clean and updated and we had a fantastic view of the city.

Very good experience staying here for the Arnold Fitness Expo. Staff was friendly, Room was spacious and clean, water was hot in the shower, and check out was easy. The parking lot was also very big and easy to access. Didn't have a Microwave in the room but there was one in the lobby.

Stayed here quite a few times, and the staff is always super friendly making check-in efficient. The rooms are newly renovated, and they are way better than they used to be! The facade of the hotel has gotten the fresh makeover, and has greatly improved the overall Aesthetics of the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel this weekend for business. The hotel was clean & beds were comfy. The service was great and food was a great price.
We were very blessed to have the option to use the hotel shuttle. Thank you Holiday inn for a wonderful stay.

We stayed here because of the pool and it being close to children's hospital since our daughter was having surgery. I called to confirm our reservation and to make sure the pool was open. The guy I spoke with said it was from 7am-10pm. As I go to finally check in, I get informed that the pool is closed and if I wanted to cancel my reservation I could free of charge. They apologized and gave us a late check out for the miscommunication.
The hotel is nice and clean. The front desk employees are nice. The rooms are nice and clean.
They put us on the 6th floor which was perfect for my kids to see Columbus at night.
We will definitely stay here again if we ever have to come back to childrens hospital.
I don't have one negative thing to say. The pool being closed is due to covid.
They should tell the call center about their pool being closed.

My only complaint was you can wait some time for an elevator as there are only 3 and 1 is a service elevator. We were on the top (12th) floor and could wait a while to go up and down to the ground floor. Otherwise, a fantastic stay!

I stayed here for the Arnold Classic. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. This was a really busy time to stay and everything went exceptionally well. Nice pool and there is an excellent burger place located in the lobby you could have food and drink. There was always a shuttle bus back and fourth to the convention center which is only a few minutes away. Looking forward to stay again

I stay here every time I have to be in Columbus, now. I've stayed at the Westin and one of the Marriotts, but nothing, honestly, compares to this hotel. I know it's not a 4 star hotel, but they certainly act like it. The restaurant, burger theory, has great breakfast, and while I don't eat meat or chicken, my extremely picky husband, said their dinners are great. The customer service is the most incredible thing ever. I'm super picky about customer service and it doesn't get much better than here. The rooms are always really clean and well attended. The cost of parking is fair and the the rooms are affordable. The hotel is centrally located and in great spot for driving or walking. Can't ask for much more.
