What a wonderful, peaceful farm.  The accommodations in the yurt were above and beyond expectation, he really thought of everything.  The site included an outdoor shower, outhouse, hammock, fire pit with chairs, and a picnic table. The animals are very well taken care of, loved, and super friendly. The woods and property are lovely and quiet.  Just perfect! Great getaway, very relaxing and the animal contact is incredible. We would love to visit again and again! Update: visited in February 2023, winter at the farm, was just as amazing....the cozy wood fire stove was so perfect, so relaxing, such an incredible place and surrounding area has so much to see and do! Highly recommend!

This was amazing! My friend and I got to just sit and enjoy the goats, take them on a walk, and feed them. He taught us how to pick them up and introduced us to all the baby goats. The farm is a beautiful, peaceful place and you really get to immerse yourself in it. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

This was truly one of our favorite trips over night. We spent a night in the Yurt. And took this freeing shower he built out of vines outside..One of the best interior Outhouses you will ever see! What a great experience for the family..my daughter couldn't stop smiling and laughing..30 goats, 5 Bunnies, 2 sheep, a goose, a cat and a dog all to pet, love and appreciate. The owner of this paradise can only be decribed as gracious, appreciative and Loving...I think I actually walked away a better person for spending some time with him...Humbled.

So I got to spend some time at Mariaville Goat Farm today and oh my god. You have to go if you are in upstate NY. They also have goat yoga and a yurt to stay in! The yurt is on Airbnb.

You also get to take the herd on a walk through the forest. Please note that the herd includes goats, geese and a massive sheep that thinks it’s a Labrador. They all just walk in such a nice little row!

For the goat cuddle time you go in a little shed with a heater, hay bails to sit on and they put a kettle on for you for hot chocolate or tea. They also sell goat milk soap they they make right there. Today we were treated to 1 day old Orion who slept in my sweatshirt the whole time.

Basically, you have to go. It’s so amazing. Even on freezing cold days.

The goats were incredibly friendly and hung out with us while we did yoga. The platforms we did yoga on were a pleasant extra, and out instructor was kind and calming. Loved it!

We signed up for "goatie cuddle" and it was an amazing experience! Rick gave us a tour of the farm and introduced us to the adorable baby goats. We played with them in the treehouse and then got to take them on a walk in the forest. There were a bunch of other animals on the farm (more goats, a sheep, a miniature horse, geese, and a potbellied pig). He also showed us the heated yurt where you can stay overnight. I'd love to come back again and stay in the yurt.

What a great time! Ed and Rick are super pleasant and friendly and so are their goats. Spend a relaxing couple of hours getting to know Rhoda, Ash, Snowflake and the rest of the herd. Cuddle up on a chair or take them on a walk and just relax. Will be coming back with friends. Also....they have a yurt you can rent! Check them out on AirBnB.

Goat yoga was so much fun! Rick went out of his way to accommodate my physical limitations and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Such a kind person. Can’t wait to do it again!

Beautiful and peaceful. All of the goats are super friendly and it is adorable to see how they respond when the owner talks to them. They really look up like they understand every word. Unfortunately, this morning was very chilly and my daughter and I ended up leaving and didn't do the yoga or the cuddles that we were booked to do. We did spend about 20 minutes playing with the goats though and that was fun. We plan to book again.

Amazing family experience. We got to snuggle with a 1 day old baby goat when we were dropping off multiple family Christmas trees.

We did the "goat cuddles" for my daughter's 16th birthday party. They loved it. Each goat has a unique personality. We took them for a gorgeous walk through the fall foliage which ended with hanging out with the goats on trampoline. We also spent time on a ropes course and in a rabbit pen. Rick answered all of our questions and we never felt rushed. The farm has a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. It was a nice getaway. Highly recommend a visit to Mariaville Goat Farm!

This was a surprise for our granddaughters and they were thrilled!
We were in the treehouse and loved it! Even though we had a significant rain storm, we stayed dry up in the tented platform. The artistic design of the treehouse just amazed me! And the beautiful bucolic and peaceful surroundings complement the treehouse!
And the goats! We did the goat yoga, took many walks with them - just loved having them all around us! And then we had the sheep with us for s’mores at night!
Rick and Ed are very attentive to all of your needs and wants - what with the firewood and s’mores, breakfast delivered, goat food for the walks, there is not much that one could need!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend the adventure.!

I loved this place! It was Christmas Eve, with snow on the ground and freezing! My family bought me the goat cuddles experience as a gift, and were staying nearby for only 2 days, so we couldn't reschedule, but Rick - and of course the animals - made this experience amazing!!!! A fire was already built and blazing in a cute area of the farm stalls, and the goaties were all huddled up taking turns around the fire! I loved being able to snuggle them and get a tiny peek of all their different personalities! We got to snuggle, pet, walk with, and feed them and my face hurt from smiling and laughing so much! The added bonus was being able to snuggle 5 gorgeous bunnies named after the Jackson's!! I would give so many more stars if I could!!! Thank you!

If you're thinking of visiting this farm...GO!! It is absolutely one of the most magical places I've ever been to. I went for goat cuddles and was hosted by a wonderful gentleman named Rick who very clearly loved his animals a lot and has created a very woodsy artistic place to relax in nature with some very friendly and adorable animals. You get to pick them up, feed them, walk around with them, and the goats seem to love it all! There's also bunnies, a pig, white geese, and some sheep. We left feeling transformed and so happy. Thank you to Rick and this amazing farm!

I had such a great experience with goat yoga and goat cuddles. We didn’t do much yoga because we were having such a relaxing experience exploring the beautiful property and with the animal. Rick is so welcoming and makes you feel so comfortable. Definitely going back!

Visited with my mother for goat cuddles. It was an amazing experience. Had my doubts about the paypal (paying before going there) but they helped us reschedule when we wouldn't make it because of snow. The animals were lovely and you can tell the owner cares about them. Definitely stop by if you have the chance!

Absolutely awesome time. The baby goats were super cuddly, everyone was very nice, and we even got to take a little walk leading a herd of cute goats. We'll be back!

This was the best birthday present ever! 2 hours of goat cuddles was great and there are lots of options. You can stay overnight in a yurt and have goat cuddles in the evening and morning or they have special events like goat yoga. If you do the 2 hour cuddle time, you can feed the goats, hold the babies (ours were 8 weeks old and fell asleep in my arms), you can take the goats for a walk on the trails around the farm too. Prices are so reasonable, $10 per person for 2 hours. The owner is very friendly and makes the experience even better. There are other animals too but the goats are clearly the star of the show. Can't wait to go again!!

This blew our expectations out of the water. We got to meet, pet, cuddle, and feed baby goats, bunnies, chickens, geese, and a sheep! Our host, Rick, gave us hot cider and animal crackers, and corn for the animals - he was really amazing. The whole family had a great time - we highly recommend this.
