The store is one of the best in Chelsea. The selection and price range are better than what you get at your regular local liquor store and the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable

Love this wine shop. It is a beautiful space with lots of room to walk around and peruse the many bottles of wine. There is a wonderful selection of wines. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Another good thing about this shop is that they have regular free tastings. And on the first Saturday of the month they have a larger grand tasting. And there is a state of the art space in the back for classes and seminars which they also have at least a couple of times per month. A great new option for anyone who enjoys wine!

Chelsea has a new destination spot!! Welcome to the neighbourhood Community Wines. Your store is a breath of fresh air for the area: a beautiful, uncluttered and thoughtfully designed interior, a super-friendly and knowledgeable staff team and a range of wines and spirits second to none. Had the luxury of sitting in front of greatness as Andre Mack put on a clinic with understanding not only wine but what hard work and dedication to a craft can get you. David was a superb host and his knowledge of wine and wine characteristics and flavor notes is impeccable. They have classes and future wine tastings. This was such an incredible experience one could be so lucky to be a part of.

Definitely stop by and pick a few bottles up. I bought a dry wine which the Staff recommended and I hate dry wine, well so I thought. It was so delicious, smooth, and fruity. I drank it family and not one person said "is this dry wine"(you know with a stank face). All I heard was "wow this is really freaking good!" Don't believe me? Then go check them out.

What an absolute gem! This new wine shop in Chelsea, NYC is a game-changer. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and expertise. The selection of wines is much needed for the neighborhood (they have both well-known bottles and hidden gems). Also the staff was more than happy to guide me through. Definitely going to become a staple in the community!

best new wine shop in the city! I love how the wines are organized by weight; makes it easy to find something new. Helpful staff (and dog-friendly)! Giant screen in the back for virtual wine travel is so cool! A 21st century approach to wine/spirits shopping. Go check it out!

It's rare that you run into a place that surprises you. This is not your average wine shop. The multi-media experience is next level. Worth a trip if you're into wine or want to learn more about the regions. Not pretentious at all. Highly recommend.

I’ve known the owner David and GM Ben for a long time and, with them at the helm, Chelsea (and NYC itself) have one of the great new wine and spirits shops! I bought an orange wine called “Beginning” and it was superlative! Can’t wait to see what they do in the future! And none of this commentary even touched upon their technological showpiece whereby you get an IMAX-like screen to visit various vineyards and regions. Bravo!

The “Apple Store” of wine shops! Beautiful store, —elegant in style and substance. Wonderful wines organized in a way that makes it easy to find what I like and also explore new varieties. And the staff is super helpful!

David at CWS was extremely helpful! He answered all my questions and helped me find an important gift at a great price point. He also went above and beyond to facilitate the delivery. You just don't get this kind of customer service these days. I highly recommend CWS.

Wine enthusiasts and aspiring wine enthusiasts your store has arrived! Open, airy, modern - almost trippy - it's like falling through the looking glass into a wine dream. The murals, the rock and stone wine displays, the back room with the giant interactive vineyard tour (similar interactive tech as those golf games) and the giant bar, this place is insane. And all this negative space - they could host a dance a party! Oh and the wine and spirits are top notch, organized by body (light, full, etc.) which pushes you into conversation with the world class staff. Chelsea just got Wine Smarter! I had a blast! Yay!
