First time in New York, our stay at the St Regis definitely made our trip memorable.
We were aware of the renovation works happening in the lobby and the restaurant/bar, so it was not an issue for us as we knew upon booking. It was not that disruptive, and the room made up for it.
Got upgraded to a suite, which was clean, big, quiet, and very well-appointed.
The butler service was top-notch, and the complimentary morning coffee was a nice touch.
We requested a couple of things during our stay, which were always actioned promptly.
Breakfast upstairs was good, with nice views of Central Park. In-room dining was decent.
Housekeeping and nightly turndown was very good.
Overall, the service (reception, concierge, bell) was good.
The location is unbeatable.
Highly recommend.

Stay: August 2024.
Knew about the renovations so that wasn’t an issue at all- except it will be fun to see it when it is done.

It seems some St Regis properties have had trouble bouncing back post covid (looking at you deer valley), but that’s certainly not the case here! While we only had a one night stay on layover, every detail was taken care of.

The room was fantastic and the staff top-notch. Special shoutout to the door man who managed to get all 4 of us (plus our bags) out of the transfer in a monsoon without drop on us. Not sure how he did it.

Breakfast was awesome and because of the renovations it’s served in the ballroom with pretty good views is the city.

This was our second time staying here. Although the hotel was undergoing renovations, the service and location cannot be beat. Orville at the front desk provides the most excellent service and made us feel super special. He actually helped us during our first stay. Our butler Dolores brought us coffee each morning and was lovely. Our room was spacious and the location is amazing. We cannot wait to visit again post the renovation. Thank you!

We stayed at the St. Regis for the first time as a Platinum Marriott Bonvoy Elite and our stay was wonderful. I used a suite upgrade to a larger Butler room (we did not use our butler). As is typical in my experience with Marriott, we did not receive all the Elite benefits we were supposed to receive (room upgrade) and the census was extremely low because the St. Regis is undergoing a major renovation that greatly impacted our stay. It is a shame Marriott and its franchisees continues to not see the loyalty of it road warrior guests and takes it out on those most loyal by not even honoring the program it has written.

The room was spacious and wonderfully appointed: a Victorian with the most up to date electrical and plumbing upgrades you could imagine. The use of marble in the bathroom was amazing and the room and hotel were quiet, tasteful, classy, and oozed of history. Our room on the 7th floor (an Elite benefit at minimum should have been the same sized suite to a higher floor... there are 20 floors) had a nice enough view, but the view from the ballroom at the 20th floor where breakfast was served was spectacular. The linens in the bathroom felt wonderful but the bed linens and the bed itself was nothing less that dreamy. The bath amenities were also spectacular. Our room had a Bose radio and if we chose, our Butler would have made us coffee/espresso. Breakfast was fantastic and the service was excellent.

There was a small error in the bill (we checked out via the app), I left a message on the voicemail of the billing department, and the error was quickly fixed.

When you save up enough money and want a wonderful treat, I strongly recommend the St. Regis in New York City!

We had an amazing experience regardless the renovations currently happening in the hotel.
The staff was so attentive, butler services were so quick on turnaround times. Check-in was smooth, they offered us different rooms than the one we got but we needed up getting upgraded with the Marriott status.
The room we got was super spacious, super clean and well maintained, the washroom was spacious and fancy and I totally love when resorts have Dyson hairdryer for guests to use.
The gym was completely empty the two times I was there, it has awesome equipment, it was spacious and very clean.
The lobby bar is currently closed because of the renovations but was a great excuse to hit The Peninsula.
Overall an amazing experience!!

The St Regis Hotel of New York, is hands down one of the finest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying.
What a great personal experience for my wife and I, from Julissa and Romonna at the front desk reservations check-in, to the very personable. front desk manager, Andy. What a pleasure to to converse with a manager that always has a smile on his face.
Oh yes, almost forgot to mention... having a Private Butler at your beckon call 24 hours a day. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 5 Star Experience,

The St. Regis was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was impeccable, with a butler at our door in under 2 minutes with the press of a button. The concierge was also very nice. There was even a tv in the mirror of the bathroom! The only thing it lacked in for my room was a view. The window opened up to an ac unit of a building next door. Would recommend!

Outstanding hotel, outstanding staff, outstanding everything. It was such a joy and an honor to experience the St. Regis, regardless of the renovations that were taking place. Every staff member who was encountered was kind, courteous, and welcoming.

Yes, they are under renovations, the bar is closed, no breakfast in the restaurant, and the pomp and circumstance is missing so what?! The staff, hotel, location, comfort, and mystique are still alive and well. Orville at the front desk and Lenny at the bell/car service out front are both top notch individuals providing excellent customer service every time we stay here. We can’t wait to come back after the renovations to see what we’re in store for in the future. Keep up the great work!

I have to say our last stay at the St. Regis NYC was exceptional. We have stayed here before and it is always a great stay, but our last stay was the best - I would truly give it 6 stars if I could. The staff was overall exceptional throughout our stay.

Check In: Upon arrival the Staff gave our ~ 10 month old son an adorable St. Regis teddy bear which was right away so thoughtful.

Room: We requested a bath tub as bath-time is part of our night time routine for our son, and we were upgraded to a HUGE room - I think actually larger than our apartment, and not only did it have a bath, it had a jacuzzi jet stream and color changing lights which our son absolutely loved. Our Butler checked in with us right away and was super helpful throughout our stay with bringing ice for the baby bottles and ice pack, and as a parent that was really just so helpful. We requested a crib as well and the crib provided felt safe and secure. Our room was clean the entire time, and when I ran out of the face cotton balls the Cleaning Staff re-stocked our room with extra! That has truly never happened at a stay at ANY hotel ever, where they not only re-stock things, but give us more! The same thing happened with the delicious St. Regis chocolates. This was all just so thoughtful and we felt that we could truly relax with all the extra help.

Breakfast: We had breakfast every morning throughout our stay, and the serving staff was incredible. Everyone who we interacted with was awesome, but to name a few - Yesenia, Javier, and Cesar were all fantastic. Very understanding around any additional requests with our son, which again just made our breakfast more relaxing. My husband asked the one server for matcha tea, and she replied that they didn't have it but offered her own matcha tea packet to him!! That was so unbelievably kind and thoughtful. We spoke to the Chef from Staten Island and he was wonderful as well. All of our food and drink was great.

I want to note as well that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations downstairs - but despite this "hassle" the Staff at the hotel made it as easy as possible to work around it. That extra work being put in to keep your hotel visitors happy doesn't go unnoticed and we truly appreciated it.

Finally, booking our stay was very easy as the St. Regis is accessible through both Amex and Marriott Bonvoy booking capabilities, allowing flexibility with booking through points. Again I just want to note that the added flexibility doesn't go unnoticed and is much appreciated.

I could cry (happy tears) thinking about how nice this stay was. Truly it is so hard navigating travel with a baby (even though he is a really good baby it is still hard), and this is the first vacation that actually felt like a vacation for my husband and myself. We just really appreciate it.

So I was staying at this swanky 4.5-star hotel in NYC, right? Everything was top-notch—comfy bed, killer view, and a bathroom that looked like it belonged in a palace. Decided to take a shower, and let me tell you, it was like bathing in liquid luxury. Hot water, perfect pressure, the whole shebang.

But here's where things went south. I got out of the shower and realized I was parched—like, Sahara Desert thirsty. So, in my infinite wisdom, I thought, "Hey, why not drink some of this fancy bathwater?" Big. Mistake.

Fast forward an hour, and my stomach starts doing the cha-cha. Before I knew it, I was having the most epic, explosive diarrhea of my life. We're talking catastrophic levels here, folks. The bathroom? A war zone. The bed? Covered. The walls? Let's just say they got a new paint job.

The hotel staff were absolute champs about it, though. They cleaned up the disaster with smiles on their faces and even sent up some ginger ale to settle my stomach. Lesson learned: Stick to bottled water, no matter how bougie the bathwater looks.

Overall, still a great hotel. Just don’t drink the bathwater, okay?

One of our absolute favorite places to stay when in the city.

The 1BR suite (better with a connecting room) makes for a truly special stay.

Don’t sleep on the butler service - it’s a true game changer.

First off, it is the St Regis which is phenomenal already.
Let me tell you about the customer service…
It is 1am on a Saturday night(tech Sunday morning) and my allergies were acting up, and I needed some afrin to help me through the night, I called concierge and they went to 3 different stores to find me what I needed and brought it to me.
This is A-+ above and beyond customer service.

Thank you to everyone for making this happen.

Customer for life…

The past few days my wife and I have enjoyed experiencing the holidays in what I believe to be the finest hotel in New York City. Although we have stayed in many fine hotels in New York over our last 39 years together none of them have come close to everything the St. Regis offers. First, the location is absolutely the best in the city! Second, every meal we enjoyed either in Astor Court or the King Cole Bar the food was excellent and served hot. Next, the Room itself was beautiful and not only had a very comfortable bed, but the water pressure was superb in the shower and provided all the hot water you would ever want. But I would say more than anything else what made this hotel stay so special were the people that worked there. From the gentlemen that greeted you when you first arrived or when you said goodbye, to the front desk, to the butlers, to the waitstaff in the restaurant and bar, all of them were some of the most professional and friendly people you will ever meet. Honestly after three nights we really did not want to leave. Thank you St. Regis New York for exceeding any expectations we had for our stay and for a job well done!!

Overall a great stay with a few minor hiccups.

First the good things. Corporate discount gives a very heft discount compared to the public rate (check with your employer for their rate code). Hotel was completely booked when we stayed for the weekend of the NYC marathon. They upgraded both our rooms to the Astor suite even when we had booked a standard room by being friendly to the front check-in desk and offering flexibility on check-in/check-out time. Suite night award didn't clear but the complimentary upgrade as a Titanium ended up being better.

Food at the Astor Court which is the restaurant hotel located on the first floor near the lobby punches above its weight class and is surprisingly reasonably priced for a luxury NYC hotel. Everything was cooked to perfection and it has a relatively straightforward menu but every dish was extremely well executed. The complimentary breakfast for Marriott platinum and above was very reasonable.

Rooms themselves are very comfortable, spacious, and takes you back in time with old-school luxury.

Now the cons, service was very middling and definitely not above and beyond. The doorman was pretty cold and not very friendly and welcoming. No one to help open the door or greet arrivals. The front desk agent gave us the card explaining the destination charge and benefits per night but then at checkout, they said that the corporate rate waived the destination charge. The second problem was with 2 separate rooms, to avail ourselves to the separate credits for breakfast (platinum), we wrote both rooms on the bill at the Astor Court but they only charged it to one room. Person at check-out was extremely unwilling to fix this issue until I pressed her in which case she finally gave extra credit to cover the breakfast charges of both rooms on the one folio. If you are using 2 rooms and planning to take advantage of the credits, make sure you tell your sever to bring 2 checks.

Exquisite hotel, with excellent service right from when you walk in! The butler service isn't as polished as other St. Regis properties around the world but it's among the best in the United States. The front desk is extremely friendly and accommodating. They have friendly doormen and bellmen. The gym is nice and has nice city views. The Astor court restaurant has some tasty food and excellent service. When I am there I feel like I am at home! The only thing I wish they would have is a swimming pool. But not too many hotels in the city. So it's hard to fault them on that!

After one stay this has easily become my favorite NYC hotel and one of my favorite hotels of all time. Staff was fantastic. Normally a hotel this nice and iconic can feel a bit stuffy. Not here. Everyone is so nice and friendly.

Liked the room, hotel bar, lobby and location. Walking distance to the best shops on 5th avenue. Will be back.

Our stay at the St Regis was amazing! Labinot was our butler and went above and beyond at every turn! He had our clothes pressed and anticipated our every need.
