I am very glad that this nursing hospital chose to care and nurse my wife on the last stage of her life. Although I cannot speak the same language, the medical staff will communicate with me through translator and translation app, so as to take care of my wife to the greatest extent. I was in my wife's room, taking care of my wife 24 hours a day, and whenever I needed help from a nurse, the nurse was always there to help. Here, the staff, of all colors, are very kind to our first generation Chinese immigrant family. Lucky to come to the United States to live in this free and democratic country, although our family did not embark on a rich life, but feel that the whole society is full of kindness and friendship. Here, I sincerely thank this hospital for taking care of my wife. If you are a Chinese living in New York, if you have family members or friends in need of hospice care, you will choose this hospital to take care of their last journey of life, which will let them peacefully and serenely go to heaven. This hospital will give your family and friends the best care, the nurse will come every day to check whether the patient needs cleaning, the nurse will also come to observe and ask many times a day, sincerely thank this hospital,In this comment, I don't mean any propaganda. I just want to sincerely tell you my gratitude to this hospital and let the Chinese people living in New York have a real understanding of this hospital.

Wasn’t sure where else to send this but I just spoke with David V. In the physician billing department and he was incredibly professional. I showed him an issue I was having with my insurance being billed incorrectly. He immediately corrected the issue and fixed a problem that I had been dealing with for months. Give this man a raise. Thanks again David!

Overall good experience yesterday at NYU Langone Brooklyn ER: Total time though was from 2pm arrival to 6:30pm exit for an injury, but it was during Friday of New Years weekend (Dec 30, 2022) so most likely short handed.
* Check-in at 2pm was simple enough: Receptionist found my info quickly in the system based on phone number and I got a bracelet and some checkin papers after ~5 minutes.
* Wait time in waiting room wasn’t too long. Maybe waited ~15-20 minutes. Was busy watching the Terminator movie which was playing on their big TV.
* Brought inside to another smaller waiting room which has an assigned nurse who took vitals and gave me an extra strength Motrin around 2:35pm.
* Then the wait for xrays took some time (I didn’t think this was necessary as was pretty sure of issue and wasn’t bone related so I guess this is default check. Would have preferred MRI or ultrasound as I still need that to check damage details). I was wheeled in for the xrays and then wheeled back to waiting room around 3:15 pm.
* Around 4pm, I was taken into an examination room for a foot exam which she concurred with my diagnosis, and then she went to get the resident orthopedic for further examination. He (L. Lin) came and performed some similar and more tests and also confirmed my diagnosis. He was excellent and eased some concerns and was very helpful in explaining next steps for Tue appointment for the hospital’s orthopedic senior, and created a custom cast on the spot by ~6:20 pm. The initial lady (resident or doc?) who brought me into the room, led me back to waiting room to wait for same nurse for checkout process.
* The nurse (L. Cho) was great as well and took my vitals again before discharging me around 6:30pm. She was very busy, but was friendly, communicative, and very helpful as I saw how much effort and care she gave to an older lady in waiting room who needed more help.

Update (Jan 18, 2023): This is about 2.5 weeks after- Received a follow-up call from someone from NYU Langone ER to check how I was and if any issues with pain/swelling etc…

i was in a visit to NY, my daughter got sick and i took her to the ER, they took care of her, Doctors give the right diagnoses, staff were very informative and friendly with kids, thank you. once they see you a foreigner they assume that you don't speak English and they will try to find someone who speaks your language!, i guess that's how it's in NY, let them know that you speak English if you do, it might save you time.

To be honest I went there with Ambulance they just made me sit in the chair and I was in pain. Then I sat in the waiting area. And no one got to me right away. I had to say something. And than I received help. I'm not trying to insult you. But you do work fast not like Maimonides Hospital it's busy Hospital an when they did test on me I received a phone call in three days. You are much faster than Maimonides Hospital but for anything serious Ilike chest pain stroke Maimonides is the best.

My daughter was brought in the emergency pediatrics area. We did not wait too long and all the staff were very informative and friendly.

I am happy so far with the two times I have visited this hospital. Keep up the good work with great staff!

I went there at 6AM because I had an unbearable cough, sore throat, and fever causing me to not get a single minute of sleep for 3 days and they just gave me an inflammatory and sent me home. A day later and the cough came back but even worse. I returned again and just got told the same thing, nothing for the insomnia i had and an inflammatory. They didn't even bother to check for any infections, it's like they didn't want to make the time to treat me, and that's when I went early in the morning where there is no one there.

Was told by one of the nurses that they do not have Activated Charcoal in NYU Pharmacy which is widely used in treatment of nausea and vomiting in many patients, and from food poisoning, etc. Unbelievable... Also a patient was denied to breathe Oxygen even though the lab work is clearly low in O2 (Saturated oxygen level venous blood gas was 22, according to blood work results of a Pt, and the minimum levels shall start at 40). Dr. Steven Sweeting, MD was trying to convince a patient that her lungs don't need oxygen and that he actually studied in medical school - apparently he didn't study that well... Eventually they gave Oxygen but a Pt had to insist on that.
