Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel

Gotta say I was pretty surprised with the hotel when I got to the lobby. Feels very high end. Rooms are small but cozy and sleek. Great views.

But what really made the experience five stars was the customer service at check in. Neesha made what was a pretty lame day into a memorable one. Incredibly friendly and efficient work! Had some questions about CC auth that she cleared up super well. Top quality staff pick right there. That girl deserves a raise!

I loved this hotel, mostly because of the incredibly hospitable hotel staff, who just made me feel very welcomed and at home. The king room and bed were very comfortable, even relatively quiet though right above 125th St. Note that the bathroom does not have walls, so it's a better space for one person or two who are quite intimate. There was a $25/day fee and $25 daily vouchers for food, which don't seem to cover tax or mandatory gratuity, which might irk some. The restaurant menu and service did not delight me as much as the front desk staff and room, but it's fine. The cocktail was great. Overall a very fun, friendly, comfortable experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel, and it was truly an exceptional experience.

First and foremost, the staff deserves a special mention. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made my stay memorable.

The decor of the hotel is simply wonderful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that immediately puts you at ease. The attention to detail in the design is evident, and it creates a unique atmosphere.

The rooms are bright and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The cleanliness of the bathroom was impeccable, and it's clear that the hotel takes hygiene seriously.

The only minor drawback was the water pressure in the shower, which wasn't as high as I'm used to. However, this was a small inconvenience compared to the overall positive experience.

While staying at the hotel, I had the pleasure of dining at the Victoria restaurant, where I tried the shrimp and grits. It was a culinary delight! The flavors were exquisite, and I highly recommend trying this dish during your stay.

New hotel and great theme! The front desk was mostly fast with any service request we had. The rooms were on the small side and the bathrooms give no real privacy but it's very clean and has amazing views. I will stay here again and it would be even better if the prices drop a bit but it’s NY so hey.

The hotel staff members are outstanding here. My eight year old says, “I will really miss them-especially Sandy- and really hope we can come back again.” I had a conference that I had many responsibilities for at Teachers College Columbia University, and the location was perfect. But the staff really do make the place. Much peace and love to the staff. The Erickson family

Nice clean rooms, nice location close to the subway, but most of all great staff. The folks I dealt with were pleasant, sincere , and competent.
Only complaint is the elevator situation is lacking for weekends when the 5th floor is hoping.

Miss Michele is the highlight of breakfast! Her customer service is elite, she made sure I was great! Also Miss Wendiliz is amazing. This hotel screams luxury and black culture and I love it! Down to the icon’s life size pictures in the elevators. Truly the whole staff here has been amazing and this was my 1st night here. This is a hotel I will be sure to come back to when I come back home to visit, even tho my mother lives 15 blocks away😂 sorry mommy!

Fancy, Elegant in the heart of Harlem. We were on the 5th floor at the Victoria Restaurant and Bar it was a beautiful experience, drinks were great made with topshelf liquor. I live in harlem and would definitely love to book a room one day

This hotel was really nice, but I was surprise how the pillow cases were a different color from the sheets. The pillow cases were very dingy. But overall, the people at the front desk were great

From beginning to end the service was fantastic. The wonderful perfume scent on entering. We woke with smiles looking forward to our day.😁 Absolute genuine reception of us and the melodic sounds whether in the entrance, reception, in the elavator or restaurant. The natural vibe of singing and piano playing in the reception in the evening. 😍The staff in the restaurant, led by head staffs, made us feel so welcome. The reception staff, second to none. Not loving heights, they immediately changed the assigned room so I was comfortable. 😌Memorable staff assisting the receptionists with guest...... Young tall gents had the utmost respect and their colleague who had subtle dance moves which bought such joy. 😊The technical team were efficient with any queries we had. Everyone friendly and professional. Felt so comfortable. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

😍This place was a walk down memory lane fused with modern times, keeping that nostalgic element.😌

I am not sure about the stay, service not the restaurant yet, i just toured the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel to see it it could be a good fit for my Travel Company and clients.
I like the scent in the lobby, the fact that each room has a poem by Langston Hughes.
27 floors over 2000 rooms, some of them overlook Central Park. Next door to the Apollo Theater

This hotel omg do not think about it just book!!! The decor, the smell , the staff top tier.

I’m currently residing and am in love. Please go to the bar in the lobby ask for Danny and David they are the best there. I celebrated my birthday with them and that cheesecake 10/10.

I am Culinary Chef… This is Harlems newest attraction. It's the restoration of the Victoria Hotel.
They kept many of the decor with famous older celebrities like Josephine
Baker and Billie Holiday. The restaurant staff is amazing. The one that stood out most was Angel (hospitality manager - events manager) extremely professional and willing to make sure your visit is exceptional. Awesome personality.
And the waiter was amazing as well Juan). Food is a must and reasonable price for what you are served.

This hotel took me by surprise everything about this place is just captivating and elegant. I love seeing African Americans with so much class and great and when I say great I mean damn freaking good customer service. First let’s just start by saying if you’re from nyc then you know the Victoria was a movie theater. When you walk in this building it’s like you’re in a whole different place the security guards greet you they are all dressed clean and professional. You come up to the 5th floor where you check in at the ambience gives sexy chic. Great place to sit and get work done. The music is so relaxing if you love real old school r&b like 98.7 kiss fm r&b lol. The manager Michelle is amazing with great hospitality she’s always walking the floors helping out behind the bar. I absolutely loved the fact that they Dont just let anyone in. I came to visit my cousin and asked for a key they called up to the room asked my cousin what’s my first and last name and also for my I’d to verify I appreciate that Tasha and Sandy my girls was on they job. Now let’s just talk about the convenience it’s so close to everything walking distance trains uber whatever I love it her. Thank you ladies for making this experience the best please make sure y’all come stay here .

Opening day for the hotel was a success. Absolutely amazing and professional staff, everyone is friendly and energetic. Although the surrounding area is a bit busy the hotel provides a lively atmosphere, pristine rooms and a calm vibe making it the perfect retreat from a busy day in NYC. Great food and a perfect place to meet up for drinks. Would highly recommend and look forward to future stays.

I was stranded because my flight was cancelled due to weather. All nearby hotels were booked for the night. I called 40+ hotels looking for a room to the night and Rennaisance Harlem saved my life.
The standard room was beautiful with a nice deep tub to soak my stress and worries away. All the bath products were Aveda rosemary mint and smelled heavenly.
Service was lovely, we were checked in on often and the morning/breakfast was so peacefull in the lobby.

The location is prime as it is right next door to the imfamous Apollo theater as well as some conveinent shopping.Truly a gem in Harlem.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance New York Hotel. My only displeasure is they hold your $150 deposit for 5-7 business days after you check out instead of right away. They take your money right away, but they do not return it back to you right away. 🤔

so sad to see the hotel have a 3.7 rating! I did a staycation here to get a break from my hectic life. I HAD AN AMAZING TIME!!! The check in staff was extremely welcoming. Once I was checked in I dropped my stuff off into my room, came back down stairs & had the most amazing drinks, hot honey calomari bites, truffle fries and the CHICKEN sandwich was to die for!!!! Went to my room after for a nap, showered and went right back down for dinner. Also had the best sleep ever. See you guys next month, ill be back!!!

Loved my stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Harlem. Beautiful views of NY in Historic Harlem and amazing customer service from the front desk. Additionally, you are next to the Apollo Theatre!

If you are here, take the M60SBS bus route, from LaGuardia and it will bring you right to 125th St.

Dawn our server was an absolute delight coming in from an early flight! Perkey, pleasant, just a pleasure to be around!! So much so we came back a second time!!
Then Michelle, wow, this wonderwoman! Comes around and not only to ask how the food was but to genuinely strick up a conversation and find out about us! How welcoming!!
Please do yourself a favor while in Harlem come visit the Victoria restaurant at the Renaissance hotel!
