Dr Lee Garrod and the Staff at So NH Veterinary Hospital was very kind and gentle with the care of our little 8 y.o. Terrier mix Brady, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Dr Garrod displayed an honest concern for Brady's treatment plan, consulting with other Veterinarians and Specialists before discussing our options. I felt that Dr Garrod spoke with honesty and never spoke negatively even though the prognosis was not favorable. Unfortunately Brady crossed the Rainbow Bridge in the early morning hours of January 27, 2017. Brady was at home surrounded by his mother, brothers and sisters when he passed. If the need should arise, I would recommend So NH Veterinary Hospital to family and friends.

We brought our dog, Remo here to be seen by Dr. Garrod. He was recently diagnosed with chronic heart disease and he needed to be seen by a cardiologist as soon as possible for more tests and to develop a treatment plan. I was able to get him an appointment right away even though he had never been there before. The staff were friendly and Dr. Garrod was so kind and very clear with her diagnoses and recommendations for treatment. Although the wait was a bit longer than anticipated (understandably because she was the only doctor at the time and there was an unexpected emergency as well) the waiting area was clean and comfortable and the staff kept me updated often. The cost ended up being less than I anticipated and since then they have been so helpful with any questions that we have had since his initial visit. I highly recommend them and am happy to say that I will continue bringing Remo here for all his specialized veterinary needs.

Veterinarian and technician went out of their way to evaluate Lucy, our 6 month old puppy. Showed compassion when I was worried she had something seriously wrong with her. Luckily she was fine. Thank you!!

We were referred to SNHVH (Dr Montgomery) due to my dogs glaucoma. Dr Montgomery and the technicians always clearly explained everything and answered all of my questions. We eventually had to make the decision to remove our dogs eye. As nervous as we were the staff made us feel at ease. We were updated throughout our dog Sophie's stay at the hospital. I would highly recommend SNHVH.

My Dog recently ate about 20 grapes, and as most know, this is toxic to dogs. It was late in the evening and my vet was closed, so I called in a panic. Hannah was so amazing and helpful! She not only gave me great advice, but she had recently been through this with her dog and helped calm me down. I will forever be grateful to her! She saved my dog's life. THANK YOU!

When our puppy had a sudden onset of unusual symptoms, we brought her to 2 different emergency vets who had no idea what was wrong with our 12 week old pup. When we got to Southern New Hampshire Veterinary, even the front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were fast with getting her in, even during a pandemic with strict rules and procedures. My pup was then with Dr. Ellie Wahlberg, and instantly I felt comfortable leaving my puppy in her hands. She was kind, comforting, and extremely knowledgeable. She kept us updated at every step, and loved on our pup like she was her own. I can’t thank Dr. Wahlberg enough for her kindness, compassion and patience she had with my boyfriend and I. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you Southern New Hampshire Veterinary!!

During Covid when no one else would help my cat, they did. They understood my budget and offered fixes they did everything they could to save my boy but unfortunately he didn’t make it through the night at no fault of theirs. Unfortunately he had some genetic issues but the staff Including the main vet woman were all so amazing and understanding and I wish there were something I could do to pay back to them every ounce of caring they poured into my boy in that hard time. I can not thank the staff enough honestly! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! Beyond words!

Very nice experience! tI was the first time our 11 year old cat stayed overnight in the hospital. Super friendly and caring staff and they took excellent care of our boy. We did not have to wait long at all to even get to speak to the doctor. The processing was very smooth and really everybody was so nice! By far the best emergency vet clinic I've ever been to. Thank you!

Long overdue review, but had the absolute best experience with SNHVRH with my black lab rescue who developed a rare case of bilateral zygomatic sialadenitis (salivary gland infection - jaw was locked, unable to eat, drink, eyes swollen shut, and in massive pain in a period of 24 hours). Dr. Pike was tremendous at taking great care with her quickly, performing an MRI, providing details post MRI and walking through everything. Dr. Pike treated and happy to say all is doing great. If it had not been for SNHVRH quick care for my pup, rapid diagnosis and treatment, things could have been much worse. Dr. Pike was fantastic and spent time with my daughter and I explaining and going through the MRI in every detail. Thank you so much and she is doing great!

My dog Rocky is a rescue. Not exactly sure how old he is but we estimate about 12. He went for a dental cleaning at his regular vet. Since he was under anesthesia already, they include xrays in their fee to do a full body check. Upon review, his Dr. saw some things she did not like. Shout out to Dr. Troy at Banfield in Salem NH. She wanted him to get an ultrasound but they do not perform that at Banfield. I decided to call two places to ask questions and pricing on the ultrasound. One was in Woburn MA and the other was Southern NH Vet Referral Hospital. We arrived at 2pm to learn there was a technical issue and our appointment now showed 4pm. I did not react politely and for that, I regret. They took us in regardless and performed the ultrasound. The Dr. was confident that he could not find anything wrong with our Rocky but had 2 and then 3 sets of eyes to verify. My xrays were left at Banfield and rather than send me for a disc, they redid them and sent me home with and old age bill of health. Im not upset to learn my pup doesn't have cancer after all, but I will say- $495 was worth the piece of mind. Thank you for everything!

My dog needed eye surgery. He had a detached cornea. Dr Montgomery was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and he even got in touch with our primary vet to let him know the surgery was a success. My dog is 13 and my everything. So happy to have found this place!

I brought my dog here because she had symptoms of brain cancer (which is what turned out to be a correct diagnosis). The staff and vet were wonderful. I wasn't willing to pay for an MRI to diagnose something that was not curable, and although they suggested having it done, it was not a hard sell at all. We all need to be advocates for our own (and our dogs) health care and treatment options. I highly recommend them, and I also think it's incumbent on us to research diagnostic and treatment options and make the best decisions for our pets.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the care my pups got from here. One of my girls have extensive medical issues so she saw more than one specialist there. The doctors fully explain in detail so you understand what's happening and with me being under stress from the news they were so good having to repeat themselves so I could understand. They take their time with you and your pup, no rushing you through. At the end of the appointment they'll give you a packet explaining everything again. I also went to them to have my other girl put to sleep and they're incredibly sensitive to our feelings. They have a special room for you to say goodbye to your pet. Couches, tissues and a call button for when you're ready at your convenience. They didn't even rush us out afterwards, they are all so kind there for whatever your needs may be. They also have the credentials that we should be looking for for quality care.

Our 12 yr old Oriental kitty became very ill very suddenly and we could not reach our homecare vet so we brought her here. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who immediately placed us in a quiet exam room to help keep kitty and us be more comfortable while waiting on the vet. Amanda, the Vet Tech, was professional and gentle while handling our kitty. Dr. Crowley gave us enough information as to what may have been going on with our cat so that we were able to make an informed, yet heart-wrenching, decision that it was time to let her go. I was able to hold her close while the drugs were administered and she quickly slipped away. Their compassion for us and our pet was heartfelt and so gratefully appreciated at such a sad and difficult time.

Wonderful facility. Gracious staff. Was able to go in the building with mask and be with our dog. Dr. Garrod the specialist was superb. The diagosis was done so fast - we were distraught parents at 2 a.m. not knowing what to do! Bruiser is home and well thanks to all of the caring hands!

Love all the staff and level of professionalism offered here. We had to come to the emergency room with my 3year old pup due to swollen lymph nodes which was diagnosed as cancer. We are working with them on a treatment plan & we couldn't have found a better bunch of wonderful people to work with. Thank you for truly caring about my baby Zoey ❤🐾

Our dog had an unfortunate run in with a neighbor’s dog and ended up with multiple bite wounds to her front legs and head. After waiting 3 hours we still hadn't been seen at another emergency vet. We called here and were told we could be seen right away. They took our dog right back as soon as we walked in, treated her, and we were out the door in less than an hour with antibiotics and pain meds. Great COVID safety precautions as well. Thank you for fixing up our pup!

Wonderful doctors. Caring staff. Excellent hospital.
I visited SNHVH, as well as another referral hospital in Massachusetts, with one of my dogs that needed cataract surgery. I felt really comfortable with SNHVH and Dr. Montgomery right from the moment I walked in the front door and chose this hospital for the surgery. I am extremely happy with the overall care and support we received. Dr. Montgomery is a wonderful doctor and the staff is great. I would highly recommend him and the hospital.
Subsequently, my other dog began to have heart issues. I had no reservations bringing this dog to SNHVH also. I have been very happy with the support I have received for him as well.

Dr.Rollings is the absolute BEST! My dog has been through hell with her IBD. I was so unhappy with her last specialist, I didn’t think she would ever get better. I took a chance on SNHVRH and I couldn’t be happier. Dr.Rollings takes the time to listen to all of your concerns and comes up with a plan A and plan B. My dog has shown significant improvement and I am so grateful to all of the staff!

We had a very satisfying and professional experience at this veterinary hospital. We were treated with the utmost respect and care as well as our cat Brady as well. When you are that concerned about the welfare of your most cherished pet I would highly recommend taking your pet here.
Thanks to all the doctors and professionals who made this trying time much easier to bear!
