You are the best thank you

This service was great until they were purchased by Amazon. Now my medications sometimes show up late causing me to miss doses. They’ve also made mistakes by omitting a medication from my order. I’m now looking for an alternative pharmacy.

They are, to a person, very nice on the phone, so I give them two stars. Unfortunately, you have to REALLY stay on top of your order and advocate for your medication to a degree I've never experienced at an in-person pharmacy. For refills, they'll contact your doctor six times, but contact the patient only once. And then they just stop reaching out/assume you've closed the account. I recommend adding alarms or calendar events when your prescription is expected and especially when it expires--and then start calling PillPack. There are lots of ways your RX might be held up--a high copay, a missing data point on the RX, or confusion about which Amazon Pharmacy exactly is responsible for your care. The alerts to the patient do not seem to match these delivery-stopping situations, so call. Call. Call. Most recently, my doctor sent the refill to a front pharmacy (some sort of related pharmacy that fills via Pill Pack), but they failed to send the RX forward. Doctor sent it to Amazon Pharmacy, but not the one in New Hampshire. Finally got to the correct Amazong/Pill Pack (New Hampshire!) but they scheduled the delivery for the following month. This was after a month without any supplies. I called, and the shipment was moved to next-day delivery. After all the trouble, I recommend calling Pill Pack every month, which takes away a lot of the convenience. Pill Pack is fine when it works, but boy when it goes wrong it is really difficult to sort out what's wrong (and more than a month goes by with no insulin pumps). If, like me and most people on a life-saving medical device, you're severely limited to who can fill them by the cabal of insurance, Pill Pack is very middle of the road: not the worst (by a long shot--they're SO NICE on the phone), but it is not a terribly reliable service. So call! Call! Call! to verify.

They refused to fill my prescription when I attempted to return to Pill Pack after my insurance required me to switch my medication to their preferred pharmacy. Despite my insurance covering the cost now, Pill Pack declined to handle any of my other prescriptions.
