Holiday Inn Express & Suites Minneapolis SW - Shakopee, an IHG Hotel

Nice hotel! Staff was pleasant (never actually seen at the front desk but came out of the back/an office after a few seconds each time). Friendly and thanked us and wished us safe travels when we left. Seems like a small gesture but it was so appreciated! Rooms were clean, beds were great! Loved the water pressure and nozzle choices in the shower. Huge bathroom with a ton of counter space. Breakfast was fantastic! So many choices each day! And this is so random but even the other guests were super friendly! Always struck up a chat with our three year old :) I’ll make a point to book this hotel again next time we visit our family!

The staff has been nothing short of spectacular! They were so welcoming. Normally hockey teams get treated poorly by hotels, but this hotel went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. The rooms are very nice and everything feels clean and new. I would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to anyone coming to Shakopee.

On 1/29/2024 at 11 pm After trying 2 uncleaned rooms with stains on the bedding at the AmericInn by Wyndham Shakopee Near Canterbury Park. Went to the Holiday inn and Payed a little more for a very clean and large room and friendly staff. Everything worked Breakfast was good eggs, pancakes, fruit, sausage, biscuits and gravy and much more hot and fresh. I recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, nice staff and great rooms. My only complaint is that the pool was soooo cold and the hot tub had a weird almost fishy smell.

Rooms were clean & comfy beds. Nice hotel recently renovated. Best breakfast ever, variety of hot & cold breakfast items.

The lady at front desk was amazing. They did some remodeling on 4th floor and our bathroom had no power. She moved us and had zero issues. One of the best breakfasts for a hotel for sure. My 3 year old was messy I asked for a broom to clean the mess they stated don't worry we got it. I would recommend 10/10 very close to valley fair as well. I noticed they have Tesla chargers outside if you own one.

One of the nicest midrange hotels out there. My only complaint is 4 times out of the 2 days we stayed there, we got stuck at looooooong train crossings so plan accordingly if you have somewhere to be at a specific time.

Thank you for facilitating the wedding block and going above and beyond to shuttle for my wedding last weekend! The day wouldn't have been as smooth without your team - Jeff is excellent to work and plan with. On top of that the room was tidy and big and our guests complimented the breakfast.

OUTSTANDING - My first time staying at Holiday Inn Shakopee,Minnesota. I was pleasantly surprised from the start as i could not smell smoke of any kind like other hotels. The front desk staff were friendly, check-in was simple. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, the carpet was clean, and i say again - no cigarette or other smoke smells. The shower has full size bottles of Dove shampoo, Dove conditioner & Dove body wash (Dove bar hand soap too), nice touch! Not crazy about low flow rainfall shower heads but i understand. I did not use the pool or gym so no comment.
Now the impressive part - a real hot breakfast in the lobby. Your choice of cheese omelette, vegetable omelette, turkey sausage patties, crisp hash brown patties, strip bacon, biscuits w/gravy, cinnamon buns, 3 types of cereal, pancakes, toast / bagels, yogurt, assorted fruit, packaged muffins, coffee, tea and 4 types of juice. The girls working the kitchen were fantastic! The kitchen staff were constantly bringing out hot food.
Two Thumbs Up Holiday Inn, I will be back!

Super clean, super well maintained! I always like to check vents and I’ve got to say, they were as clean as a whistle!!

Keurig coffee maker, exceptional continental breakfast, and a friendly staff. Reasonably priced for the level of service and cleanliness!

The woman working the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. We are from out of state and were caught in a snow storm, so we didn't have/ know of many places to stay. She made what was a stressful day for us very comfortable.

Never disappointed staying with Holiday Inn locations. The girl working the front counter was very kind and friendly I wish I would of remembered her name. We were able to check in a few hours early with our preferred room option. Beds and pillows were comfy. Room was clean and well kept. The breakfast options were GREAT! The girls who were attending the breakfast area were super friendly as well. Overall a wonderful stay for my family. I will definitely be recommending this location to friends and family looking to stay in the area. Also had shopping and dining options near by.

I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel and staff! When we realized we left a Nintendo Switch during our stay two weeks prior, we called and they still had it in their posession. On top of that, Anna at the front desk was able to ship it to us the same day. A clean hotel is one thing, but a courteous and integrous staff is on a whole other level. There’s no question we will be staying here again!

I LOVE this hotel the employees are amazing, I use a conference room there so often the people at the front desk are like friends. The pool is super nice they also have a hot tub, there is a lot of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The front desk always has fresh baked cookies on a tray for free, they have a free continental breakfast, its so good. They have a large seating area with TVs. The rooms a very nice and clean. Overall amazing place you must stay here at least once you won't regret it!

The staff was great. Check in/out was smooth. The breakfast was great!

So staff was really kind and helpful. The room was amazingly clean the hallways were very clean as well with wonderful carpeting. My only downfall was that there wasn't an area that let you know where you can dump trash yourself as I'm not a fan of leaving work for the housekeeping staff. Beyond that excellent place to go to if you're ever looking to travel and need a great room
