Bittersweet Cafe

Stopped in for breakfast. Located downtown Holly right on the main street. The restaurant is small but very cute. I had a coconut 🥥 latte 😋. I had the 1865 sunrise breakfast. My wife had the breakfast burrito 🌯. The service was excellent! Highly recommend 💚💯💯

Had a great experience! Numerous gluten-free options. Very friendly service. Food was on point. It's a quaint little restaurant that's more than a Cafe.

The best fried eggs around. The coffee is also better than other cafes I've visited. The decaf in particular is incredible.

I've only ate here twice but the food is good quality & tasty! Very fresh & so many options to choose from. Both times I've visited the service was also great, the last waitress even offered to grab me a to-go cup for my unfinished coffee.

Good small-town cafe. Excellent breakfast and lunch options, as well as very good coffee and cocktail offerings. A bit cramped, and often very busy, but worth the wait.

Small place with a big punch! I crave their food, and their staff are some of the nicest you'll ever meet. Holly may be a small town, but their restaurants know what they're doing! I always get a Maurice salad and it is my favorite. They have some amazing drinks, and sandwiches. Simple and not all at the same time. I don't know how to explain it.

Cute little Cafe. Excellent tomato soup and chili. This drink (Shiawassee Chai) was phenomenal!

Nice casual dining in a super cute town! Love beast, lunch and dinner. Many special events in Holly and eating here is always a great option.

Super cute & quaint little sandwich cafe. My boyfriend brought me here after a hike because they have lots of gluten free options! All of their sandwiches can be made gluten free. I can't speak on the celiac friendly side because I'm just intolerant, but the waitress did ask if I was celiac, so I'm assuming they are able to accommodate that.

I got the Vintage Pastrami and it was the yummiest sandwich I've had in a very long time. Their cocktails are also really good and reasonably priced. Their Shiawassee Chai is one of the best hot cocktails I've ever had!

Atmosphere is warmly lit and friendly, with an antique look rather than modern.

Can't wait to come back!

My first visit here I had a Monte Cristo sandwich which is unfortunately not listed on the menu anymore. (Correct me if I'm wrong) It was delectable. I was also introduced to the Shiawassee Chai which is indescribable. Try it. 10/10, top 3 favorite cocktails. Amaretto is a love language. Omelettes are wonderful, marbled rye toast, sausage gravy; I've never had a bad meal here. My husband and I love this for a date day alone and we've also brought our babies here. I love the cozy atmosphere and rich history you can feel. The service is always friendly and good speed. Love it here. Need to find more opportunities to steal away for time in this adorable little nook. 💓

Bittersweet is a cozy cafe that has an amazing selection of unique and flavorful soups. Their sandwiches never disappoint and they have a variety of unique coffees.

Had breakfast here while traveling to the area for a funeral. Very cute decor, quality service, and good food. I recommend it. There's also some interesting shops nearby too. I had breakfast sandwich and enjoyed it 😋. The grapes and strawberries that came with it hit the spot too. My husband enjoyed his mushroom and swiss omelet. We shared a bloody mary too. The place, including the bathroom, was clean.

After reading the reviews we decided to try the Bittersweet Cafe, and I agree it was worth the drive from Fenton (although it's not far). We had a little bit of a wait for a table, but it was on Labor Day, so..... Service was great, food delicious, I had the 1865 Sunrise Sandwich, and my husband had an omelet. This is not a criticism, but just the right amount of food - often we'll dine out and are served way too much food, which seems wasteful. We plan on returning in the future.

Never disappoint with my food, it doesn't matter if I order off the normal menu or get their monthly special it is always amazing.

This is a cute cozy cafe. The food was excellent as well as the coffee. Fairly large menu for a small cafe. Service was friendly and helpful! Will definitely return.

Friendly staff. Food was pretty good. I went with the Vintage Pastrami and my wife scooped the club. Quaint Cafe. Service was fast even though there were no open tables. I'd go back without hesitation.

This is a GREAT place to eat! The Jalapeño Ranch burger was delicious, although I substituted the Jalapeño peppers for banana peppers. My wife equally enjoyed her time salad. Suburban was great and a cool atmosphere as well. It was packed for a late lunch on a Tuesday afternoon so I think the locals like it as well.

Presentation spectacular, I don't even need to taste this before I know it's going to be top notch

Stopped in for lunch with my Mom. Their soup was perfect for the cold December day. I had tomato bisque and Mom had the corn chowder. Both were excellent! And then we split a turkey Reuben sandwich which was also wonderful. Friendly staff, clean place with a vintage charm. Will definitely go back!
