Great People To Deal With. Mr, Sylvester the building inspector is old school, but super fair and easy to talk to. Tom, has always taken care of us and answered all of our questions. For as big as a city as they are, they have the right people in there

Came here for paperwork for the house and it was fast and efficient and even helped me with my questions! The two ladies working there today were both really nice! I had no issues and was in and out!

The only reason I’m giving them a one
star is because google wouldn’t allow me to rate them any lower. Never in my life have I seen a business ran so unprofessionally. If it wasn’t for Joe the electrician, I would’ve missed closing on my house and a possible sale. The start of my issues started when I was selling my home. They sent their team to my house to do their inspection, a week before closing and then handing me a list of things I needed to get done, before I could sell the home. I ended up getting everything done, but new siding to my home. I reached out to a contractor that said he could get the siding done, but it wouldn’t be for another month. I shared the info w the people at the Romulus building and I was told I could pay $400 to receive a slip, saying I will have the job done. After job was done, I then could come back with the receipt showing siding was done and get $200 dollars back. Fast forward to today, I walk in with receipt in hand showing the job was done and they told me, since I no longer own the home I need to contact the owners of the house, set up an appointment, for them to walk the back yard and see the siding was completed, before receiving my $200 back. Not only is this ridiculous, but again thr level of professionalism in this building is ridiculous as well. When you walk in there, they act as though they are annoyed at the fact that you’re in the building to even talk to them. They try and answer you, without listening to the issues and give you half information to get things completed in a timely manner. I have made way too many trips to this building in order to handle things on my end. The individuals working the desk should be ashamed of themselves for just collecting a check and not wanting to do their jobs correctly over even help the people that live in the city of Romulus. I will never be a part of an HOA again and as far as buying a house in Romulus, it’s a scam full of unnecessary fees, that you won’t know until selling your home. So make sure you do your research well, before buying in this area.

good luck getting them to answer the phone. They tell you that you have to call in 24 hours in advance to schedule a REQUIRED post hole inspection yet have not answered the phone for the past 4 hours. Get some new requirements or hire someone to accommodate your current requirements.
