Sierra Sands Family Lodge

Had a great stay for 3 nights. Rooms are clean, staff is welcoming, helpful and very friendly. Microwave and fridge in room were great. Laundry (washer/dryer) on site was so helpful. Pool and hot tub were clean and good temperatures. Very quiet stay despite having many guests. Felt safe entire stay. We will definitely return when in the area!

We love staying here with our family. The pool is clean (and heated!) and the staff is wonderful. They have fire pits, grills, a playground, hot tub and a mini fridge and microwave in each room. It’s also nice to have access to a washer and dryer so I don’t have to deal with piles of laundry after our trip. The rooms are always clean and they are just a short walk from the best attractions.

It’s a great value and we highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice family-owned business who actually cares about your experience. We can’t wait to come back for our family trip next year!

Family owned and it shows , everyone that works here is awesome , front desk and girls that clean the rooms and do everything else are awesome. Talked to the actual owners multiple times on my short visit and they were just good people . Not like a big chain where it's hard to even find a manager . I have three kids And they couldn't wait to come back to get in the hot tub and pool . Everyone staying at the hotel were just down to earth cool people too . Hard to find a place like this where live. Which isn't far but seems like a different world honestly. We are planning on making this a yearly trip 💯 close enough to everything that u could walk but driving you can get to Lake Michigan, to the light house , to nice little public beaches that arnt crowded in 5 min , multiple ice cream places and even a Rollercoaster and zip line park with in a mile . Again this hotel is awesome and the city is even cooler . Staff and people make the trip .

Excellent location and experience. Staff is very nice and eager to help. I suspect they use on demand hot water heaters as it did take some time for hot water.

Great pool and hot tub. Playground for kids with grills and picnic tables too.

We had a break down on the truck and checking out of our nearby Airbnb we needed a last minute stay. Staff were super helpful and very accommodating. Very friendly and would definitely plan on coming back here as our first choice. Great location with a short walk to Dunetown and other locations.

We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel was wonderful! Very clean and service was top notch. We had to change rooms while we were there because the first bunk bed kids room didn’t work for us with our kids, for personal reasons, and the owners were so polite, understanding and accommodated our request immediately. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be back, hopefully next year!

The owner and staff were so nice and helpful! The room was very clean and we requested more pillows that were at our door within 10 minutes. The pool and hot tub are always clean. Self serve coffee any time of the day.. amazing! Pam was so helpful when we asked where to eat. She brought out a huge binder with menus from everywhere. She told us to go to Lewis Petting farm and it was the best suggestion. SO FUN! We will always come back to this hotel.

Great place to stay
My son is highly allergic to pet hair, dead skin, saliva, etc... And I usually request to vacuum the room on my own and then lint the carpet before wiping the whole place down. I can say from my experience, their rooms are 5 star compared to other name brand hotels that say their rooms are clean. There is no mold of any sort building up in the AC unit that I find a lot in other hotels and resorts, no pet hair from the lint roller or other people's hair, no dust buildup when wiping around the window and AC unit area, and the room has no funky odors. The most important, showers are clean and so are the shower curtains. Ended up getting one more room because it was too small for 5 adult size people.

Excellent customer service! Staff were so kind and accommodating. Nice pool & hot tub, very close to silver lake, look down the road, what a view. We had the mini suite, the extra room was nice for the kids to play . Clean.

Sierra Sands is great! They have a nice sized pool and hot tub that is well maintained, and fire pits and playset in the back. The rooms are older, but they are very well maintained. This is the only hotel I've stayed at that brings new towels and takes out the trash every day. It's in a great location - you can walk everywhere in downtown Silver Lake, but your far enough away for it to be quiet in the evenings. Will definitely be back next year!

Excellent place, Shawn and Pam are excellent. Mini fridge and microwave made a excellent stay for us. Walking distance to lake. Definitely coming back

Highly recommend this place. It is super clean. The people are great! It was our first trip to Silver Lake- the lady at check in was super friendly and helpful. She gave us great advice on where to go to eat in the area. Excellent coffee in the morning outside the lobby too.

We stayed here during an impromptu week in Western Michigan. Incredibly clean, well located, and the staff is so, so nice. Even gave us a no-argue refund when we had to leave earlier than expected. Definitely a solid place to stay if you find yourself in Silver Lake doing some off roading!

First time staying at Sierra Sands and the service was great, rooms were clean and looks to be maintained well.
