George's Sandwich Shop

Best sandwiches since I was a kid. The pickles are amazing. I will say the new crew is much more pleasant than the old crew (minus Meg, she was always great).

This is basically take out only. Good sandwiches, fast, and relatively cheap. Service was polite.

The Good:
My Italian tasted great and seemed quite fresh. Service was helpful in understanding what ingredients they normally use on sandwiches. Prices are pretty good.

The Meh:
Take out only.

The bad:
None.

If you haven't had a sub from George's, you don't know what you're missing...and once you do, you'll never want to go anywhere else.

Friendly atmosphere, excellent staff who know their customers and most popular subs. Parking is good, and you can tell...George's does it right.

First visit since new new owners took over. Everyone made a lot of effort to ensure the orders were correct. Store was busy between phone and pick up. Sandwiches were very good, old school like I remember. Bread and ingredients were fresh and at the right proportions for an easy to eat Italian. I love them the next day and we had a couple extra that did not disappoint! Will be back soon! Worth the drive.

40 years ago my family would vacation in Kennebunkport and we would travel to Biddeford just for George’s and Rapid Rays. George’s made a simple Italian that was cheap and delicious. Just avoid the place when they are cutting onions 😄

Cute little shop with fresh, flavorful sandwiches! The woman at the register was welcoming and bubbly and our food was ready in just a few minutes. My husband already asked me to pick up more for lunch and we were just there yesterday

Family owned and operated deliciousness. They remember your name and order even if you haven't seen them in a year. Super friendly, great quality and food that is evocative of Maine Summers. Love these guys!

The best sandwiches around, of you want a taste of historic Biddeford look no further. The bread is always soft, the veggies are always fresh, the pickles are the best around. All the staff is super friendly, and they remember their customers. Definitely feel like family when I go in here. I love to support small local business and they make you want to support them.

My family has been buying Italian sandwiches from George's since I was a young child. My parents would go at least twice a week, and though they were only two, they would buy eight sandwiches at a time and call us adult children over to eat. These Italian sandwiches are the very best ever! I have bought Italian sandwiches in so many other places and states and nothing, absolutely nothing, compares to the goodness of a George's Italian sandwich. Presently, I frequently go get my George's Italian sandwich fix at least once a week if not more. The sandwiches are great, the staff is just plain awesome and if you haven't tried it yet I don't know what you're waiting for!. And if staff is reading this review please know that I am the real Gail L., Lol.

George's has the best Maine Italian sandwich, period! Their ingredients are all incredibly fresh and they run a well-oiled Italian factory. My fave is their Genoa Salami Italian, loaded, with oil on the side. Although I tried their chicken salad Italian and thought that was a close second. Perfect beach food, or any weekend activity food! I also love that they have every Humpty Dumpty chip variety possible. Give it a whirl, you wont be sorry!!!

I have been going to George's since I've been a kid. My mom grew up in Saco and she has been going since she was young. The sandwiches haven't changed at all and I applaud George's for such a delicious product! I love that it is cash only, a very limited and simple menu, and very quick friendly staff. I drive from Cumberland just to get an Italian sandwich and then off to Reilly's bakery for desert. Thank God some things in life just don't change and I can't wait to start bringing my children to George's. If you want an excellent sandwich at a very reasonable price point then spend your hard earned money here!

Best Italian sandwiches in New England!! Fresh bread, fresh meats, cheeses and veggies! It's a hole it the wall worth finding! You can order ahead at 9am! Pack them up for your day at the beach...just ask for oil on the side!

George's sandwich shop has the best, freshest Italians around. Not only do the taste great, they are fast! This is all they do and you'll have your take out sandwiches fast. Cash only payments with ATM service inside. No dine in service. Take out only.

This is probably my favorite sub shop I've ever eaten at. Staff is super friendly and service and is always quick. The sandwiches are all made from fresh bread and and the ingredients are just as fresh as well!! They have pretty low prices compared to most places, mostly because they only accept cash, but don't worry! There's an ATM literally right next to the counter. My only "complaint" is the parking situation, which in no way shape or form is George's fault, more so the town of Biddeford. Although the majority of the parking lot is pay to park, there is a small section that's free for those running into grab a sandwich real quick.

George's Sandwich are always has the best Italian sandwiches in Biddeford & beyond. They have four people working to get the sandwiches done quickly & correctly. They offer white & whole Wheat bread. I highly recommend their Italian Sandwich.
