Best campground in the silver lake area. I’ve been coming here for 30 years now. Super fun and safe for all ages. I was sad to see the main office/shop burnt down.

Very nice facilities. Close to the dunes. The restaurant pizza is scrumptious. Camping neighbors were all kind. Campground staff helped after a mixup with our sites. We’ve stayed here twice.
I appreciate campground staff for keeping the bathrooms clean and supplies refreshed.

We very much enjoyed our stay and will return.

With the rapid decline in the area its nice to see that the owners of this place are still staying true to the ways. They keep everything clean
Crew is pleasant and food is good. The restrooms are getting pretty worn down now. Women's bathroom in the back of the park does not have any lockable stalls. All broken. But that's the only thing I could possibly complain about.

Great place to camp, good
family campground. Family activities, glow in the dark parades, Halloween. My family loves it here.

One of my favorite campgrounds to stay while visiting Silver Lake. I've been here multiple times and never really had any issues. Last time I was here, a karaoke party was going til past midnight but my group was up anyway. After 1am, lights are out. I'm glad they enforce quiet time as I like to sleep at night. This is not a party campground. The rules are made for safety reasons, just follow them and enjoy your camping trip.

I have been staying at the Hideaway Campground since 1990. Yes, YEARS AGO (like 20 years ago), there were things that could have been better. NOW, and for the past 15 years, it is a very friendly family oriented campground with very friendly seasonal and weekend campers, and staff. We are a welcoming family who treat all people with dignity and respect. The staff go out of their way to make sure your time is enjoyable. The facilities are clean, and inviting. The pool is wonderful, clean, and quite enjoyable. There is a wonderful grill, Lighthouse Grill, that serves great food, and ice cream. I've talked to many weekenders who have had a wonderful time, and plan to come back. It is a wonderful place to stay . I decided to write this after reading some negative reviews that seemed very odd for our campground.

This place is my home away from home. Great staff friendly smiles where ever you go. Everyone is happy and in a good mood. Hot showers clean new bathrooms and great prices. The children are the #1 priority and that is very important to me and my kids. 5mph is great for the safty of everyone and lights out at 1pm keeps everyone Happy!

I know many people think this is a campground that is too strict. Not me or my family. I have been camping here since 1967. Yes it's been through other owners over the years. But when I started to bring my family again in The 1990's it was a nostalgic great memories of what has changed all for the good. We rented cabins for years ( you might want to check them out) then bought a small SCAMP camper we used for years and finally said yes we want to be part of the family. I'm very happy that Dan and Sandi and others have welcomed us in.

This is our favorite campground in the area. We come every summer, multiple times each summer with our 5 kids and always have a lot of fun. We especially love the section right near the front when we camp with our kids as the bathrooms, playground, pool, and store are all very conveniently place in that area. We have never had a bad stay ❤

My family has stayed here for at least 10 years. We love the campground. Bathrooms are amazing. Staff is amazing. Great wooded sites. Nice quiet nights for sleeping cuz fire is out at a reasonable time. No kids partying all night keeping us up. We can bring our dog along.were here to drive the dunes not party all night. Love you hideaway and all your staff. See you soon

This campground is beautifully kept up. The lakefront is absolutely gorgeous. The lake is full of bream and bluegill which grab your hook almost before it hits the water. The sites are level and clean, the connections in good repair. The proprietors don't put up with any shenanigans and it is quiet at night. There are a number of seasonal residents, and it is plain that a lot of the campers have been there for many years, but even the most antique park model is immaculately kept up. There was an issue with the electricity on our last night; the whole camp lost power, but it was evidently a problem with the city utilities, as there was a truck and work crew out there promptly. We arrived planning to spend a day or two, but we liked it so much we stayed a whole week!

We had a pleasant experience! Our campsite was clean and staff at the front were friendly. We tented with electric only. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned regularly. We stayed on weekdays Wed & Thurs nights which was really peaceful, by Friday the place was packed and noisy with kids.

My family spent the weekend at Hideaway Campground. The sites were larger than most campgrounds we have been to. The facilities were clean and the employees were very nice and accommodating. The camp store prices were reasonable, as were the food prices at the restaurant. The food was delicious as well. This is a great place for people of all ages. Our kids loved the playgrounds and pool. Our family will certainly be making another visit to this campground!

I have been coming to Hideaway for 2 1/2 years. I love it, the owners are investing money in the campground to update a few things. The pool is a nice break from a day in the dunes. The food at lighthouse grill is AWESOME. There are like 4 beaches within a couple of miles, fishing down the road. Inner tubing at stony lake is fun. Over all the atmosphere is just family and fun. Highly recomend!

We have been seasonal campers for several years. Dan and his staff do go well out of their way to make sure we have the best stay possible. Food is excellent at the store, and staff very friendly. Keeps us returning each year and would recommend to everyone.
