Well worth the hike. Gorgeous scenery. Trails aren't marked, though. Getting to the creek bed & waterfall base was tricky & somewhat dangerous. I do not recommend taking young kids.

Please leave a donation as the people who share the waterfall do it out of their kindness and it was quite clean honestly so let's keep it that way.
** Only parking for 1-2 cars.

Be thoughtful when you park as you're parking directly on someone's property.

Besides that, it's an amazing spot if you like a good workout/hike before you visit the cold falls. Follow the pink markers shown in the pictures I've listed and you'll be fine.

The water is really clean and clear in spots and good to cool off on a hot day or to visit and take some good pictures!

Beautiful waterfall! We took out three kids and they loved it! It took us about 30 min to get to the waterfall, about 1 mile.
You have to park on private property. The owner doesn’t mind, he was nice. We left a donation for him. I’m assuming he marked the trail. His dog Stevie came with us to the waterfall. He actually knew the way! I would recommend this 100%!

Great place! Well worth the trek down!!
He has had to recently start charging a small fee for parking. It's so worth it though!! We went 2 years ago and just recently 10-21-23, the water was still flowing. Not a large waterfall, but better than we expected.

Really pretty view but a really steep hike would not bring kids here also the man charges $20 per car so if you go here you have to pay

The hike to the falls was wonderful. You park on private property but the owner doesn’t mind. He had walking sticks out there for us to use, which we used. Very nice trail. You can give a donation for the use of the trail. He would not have to let you across his property if he didn’t want to. Trail did not have poison ivy like others said it did.

Great hike!! Out and back it took us about 45 minutes. Be sure to bring a swim suit so you can take a dip at the falls! We started the hike from the New Trailhead, because the old trailhead said no trespassing, but I believe either would work just fine.

Need to park at someone’s property and then follow the orange ribbons down the path to the river. The way down is not easy - kinda slippery and steep - but coming back up way easier. Following the path along the river was not the easiest either as we had to cross it a couple of times and the current is strong. From the parking to the waterfall it takes about 30 minutes. The view is rewarding once you reach the waterfall (from the top)! No one else was there. The owner of the lot where you park is friendly but his dogs will bark until you leave! Have hiked this half a dozen times from the National Forest Service free public parking on County Road 2. Easy one way 1.2 mile walk that begins as a Forest Service Road that is gated at CR 2 but turns into a footpath after awhile.

Beautiful falls and rock formations downstream. Moderate hike from a difficulty standpoint.
Parking at the end of the road on private property.
Please consider leaving a donation. The property owners are very generous for allowing the use of the property. The main trailhead has no parking

The falls are worth the effort to get there. It involves a hike from the parking spaces of over a mile with some uphill and downhill slopes. Nothing difficult, but an invigorating hike. Spend enough time to really enjoy the falls. Take lots of pictures and leave only footprints behind.

Beautiful waterfall. Trail has some elevation but is well marked. You are basically parking in a guy's yard, so toss a few bucks in his mailbox as thanks. About a mile hike in.

One of my favorite Alabama waterfalls! I've been here several times in the last few years. It never gets old!

As others have mentioned, trailhead location has changed. Look for “New Caney Creek Trailhead” on the CR.

Beautiful waterfall, we took the path less traveled and walked the creek the whole way. Man, lat me say it, it was beautiful.

This is an awesome waterfall that I finally got to see because of a new parking area down a dead-end road and an old farmhouse.

Wet weather make the trail a bit slick, good boots are needed
