Plato's Closet Greenway

The employees are fun to talk to and nice. I have sold here before when I was cleaning out my closet and they did not take everything but I felt I got a fair amount for what they took and I donated the rest. 😁

You never know what treasures you'll find here. Their prices are reasonable bring that they are a second hand store. Not like goodwill. And it doesn't smell like an explosion of disinfectant cans.

What a fun place! I usually hate thrift stores but this one was awesome. Very well laid-out, easy to find size and color. I will definitely be coming back plus the owner was very nice

This Plato’s Closet location is the absolute best, I only have great things to say about the store and the staff! As someone who has been selling to Plato’s for years now, I’ve been to stores in other cities/states that didn’t have good quality items, the wait lines were incredibly long, and the staff just didn’t seem happy to be there. Not the case here! Every time I come in, I’m greeted by Eddie, the awesome manager, who is always helping customers quickly with a smile and positive attitude. There is almost never a long wait to buy or sell, and they accept almost all of my items every single time. Also love that they donate whatever they don’t take, which saves me a trip to the Goodwill! Thanks Eddie and the rest of the Plato’s Closet Greenway staff, y’all are the best!

I’m genuinely baffled by all the poor reviews I’ve been coming here for 7 years religiously and I LOVE this Plato’s closet. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. The place is well run and clean and there are lots of treasures to be found if you’re willing to take some time. Yes they want you to adhere to their guidelines but that’s standard at any Platos and naturally you probably won’t get rich from selling your things here but that’s the point of Platos closet: great second hand clothes at an affordable price point for the shoppers and quick cash for you. I recommend that you call ahead to see what styles they’re accepting, note they stop buying for the day at 3 pm most days, and they want the items in a bin not a trash can. It if you’re kind to the staff and follow the guidelines selling and buying here is a breeze and a very pleasant experience.

Seems like the majority of bad reviews are from people trying to sell their stuff. I haven't sold here, just bought. I think this is the best platos I've been to in the Houston area, there are so many good quality, sturdy items here. Barely and shein and forever 21! And prices are reasonable. But please vacuum the store, I've found dust bunnies everywhere lol

This is the best platos in Houston. Fast, friendly and very professional. The manager is amazing the way he speaks to customers. He is bilingual and so helpful.This team is awesome.

Went to this location, first time ever going. My daughter & I went in and everyone was all Super nice. We brought in some clothes to use as store credit, while they were going though the bag, we walked around the store. Found A lot of cute stuff, got a few stuff. We will definitely go back, and definitely to this location! It worked out great because its kinda near my husbands work.

I love thrift stores, and the plateaus are undoubtedly one of my favorites. the pieces always well chosen and cared for, patiently you find a lot of friends and with labels never used. The price is affordable and very worth it. and I'm even making a video for my YouTube channel about some thrift stores in Houston and the plateaus will be in my next video !!!

Eddie and DeeDee were wonderful during my visit at this Plato's Closet. They were fast but thorough while going through my 6 bags of clothes. My wait wasn't long at all. Eddie also assisted me with packing the remaining clothes in my car. He was very kind and professional. This Plato's Closet was the best experience I've had. I will now only use this location to sell clothes as I've had poor experiences with other locations in the Houston area. Top Notch Service! Thanks

Showed up here at opening to sell some clothes and there were already three people waiting in line before the doors even opened. Even with that, they got through all of us in less than 45 minutes. They were very polite and have good taste, the store is filled with cute clothes!

This was my first time shopping at Plato's Closet even though I've known about them for a while now. I've recently got into thrifting and now when I'm in different areas for happy hour or something, I go to my Maps and find thrift stores nearby. I was having brunch at Tiny Boxwoods (a MUST for brunch!) and decided to come here afterwards.

I'm soooo glad that I did! Their store is clean, organized and the clothes are nice and suited for a younger audience which was amazing. There are so many thrift stores that I go to where there are a lot of outdated clothes or very basic items. But, don't get me wrong - I love vintage! ...& bee-tee-dubs AKA btw AKA by the way, this Plato's Closet is not great for vintage items - their items seem to be more recent and not older/vintage.

So many great items here! I found a camouflage jacket in the men's section (yup, they have a good men's section here, too) and an AMAZING pair of boots (adding a pic). The jacket was $10 and the boots were only $16. They also had some nice bags ranging from small to really big bags (AND cute jewelry) but I didn't want to leave with a $50+ tab so I didn't buy a bag.

The only downside for me is that they didn't have a large amount of plus size items. Nonetheless, I'll definitely be shopping at Plato's Closet again.

Dude was super friendly. I called and asked if they had a Astros baseball cap. He said no but they had a jersey and proceeded to tell me what it looked like. That's some customer service. I will go back or call back

I love going to this location because, I always find good stuff! Eddie has awesome customer aptitude and good memory to! The staff is so nice and they play upbeat music to shop to!

Your always friendly staff, great prices, and awesome selections in shoes, dresses and tops attracts me to return to your Memorial and Greenway locations!

Quality clothing at GREAT prices. I did a whole lot of school clothes shopping here. It helps bulk up the amount of clothing to start school. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful

Terrible dont come here. Seriously dont, its crowded enough because selection and prices are too good to be true. Name brand everything, that looks brand new. Check out was a snap and I want to keep it that way.
