Excellent breakfast! I had the veggie omelet with sides of hash browns and bacon and am taking half of it home. Hubby had hash browns with a sausage and egg biscuit and a bacon and egg biscuit and took one home. Will definitely stop again at this family run business. Great service and friendly folks.

We were on our way to Aggieland to drip off our freshman and decided we needed to eat before we got there. My husband saw this place and turned in on a whim. It was a nice surprise of a gem. Food was great and the service was friendly. It has been marked in a map so that we will remember to stop here again.

If your want a homey down to earth atmosphere this is the place to go. The staff is amazing and the food is great plus it's all home cooking. I've been here 3 times. Each time I felt so welcomed as if I was eating at home. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and cream gravy, and grilled veggies.

The food here never disappoints. Our go to is the Santa Fe Benedict. We also love the Reuben and chicken fried steak. The kid has an obsession with the coconut cream pie.

We came in at 2:50 p.m. The sign said they closed at 3:00 p.m. Ugh. We were in town on personal business. We were exhausted and hungry. So, we asked if we were too late to dine in. The waitress gave us a smile and told us to have a seat. My husband ordered the Chef's Salad, and I ordered the pan-fried steak. Wow!! The food was absolutely delicious. The mixed vegetables were the best I've ever had. My husband said, "That was about the best Chef's Salad I've ever ate". The portions were generous, and prices were fair. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. She said her Mom is the cook. Her Mom certainly has a gift of cooking. We have not had a good home-cooked meal with flavor in a long time. So, why is it that the good places to eat are never close to home? My waistline is probably happy they are 2+ hours away! 😁 We will be back when we come in the fall. I highly recommend this place.

Great home style meals. Nice sized portions. Friendly wait staff that seems to be family owned/operated. It definitely stands on top of food options in the area.

I got the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I ordered it with the eggs over hard and crispy and they made it perfectly!! The sandwich was two eggs two sausage and two cheese slices between toast and honestly was way too much for me to eat. Besides being really good, I liked the calm and quiet atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and try something else.

Straight up down home food. Friendliest service. Tri tip sandwich was over the top. Shared some dessert but only made it home with a bite. Beyond good. Will definitely return. Hidden gem.

Five of us stopped on the way to College Station. Everything was great, and so were the people. The everything omelet was probably the best I’ve ever had, and the waffles were very good and good-looking.

The food was amazing! Everything is made from scratch like home cooking but, upscale! The owner is hands on and makes you feel so welcome! I would recommend anyone to give it a try! You’ll be back again and again!

Best steak and cheese (philly) locally.. Also the corn chowder was amazing.
We will definitely be back. Our waitress was a doll. She was so attentive without disturbing us. She was knowledgeable about our menu items. The sandwich with avocado was great. The deserts look great. At a future time we hope to try them. The prices were very reasonable.

Had a wonderful lunch experience! Great food, great service, great staff. Arrived on a Thursday just before the lunch rush. Fried pork chops and CFS were delicious…and the grilled vegetables were phenomenal! Next time we are in, or near, Caldwell we will be eating there again…and I will save room for the strawberry shortcake 😊

The biscuits were delish and not expected. Not a flaky biscuit but grilled and the bacon gravy…amazing! I don’t like gravy in restaurants because it’s always packaged. This was homemade and so good! I can’t wait to go back! We had 11 people in our party Saturday and they were very good at meeting our needs. Give them a try!
