Adorable fabric store with many unique fabrics. I found so many bright colored fabrics, which I like but also some more traditional. They have a long arm quilting machine to quilt designs on your handmade unfinished quilt. I signed up for a class to make a collage wall hanging which they have displayed over the register. I’ll definitely return to purchase more fabric. Always good to check out places you’ve never visited before.

Truly one of the nicest quilt shops I have ever been in. Inspiration at every turn, incredible fabric selection, patterns, and machines. I didn't need a machine but a complete shop is a nice thing. I do wish I lived closer!

Amazing fabrics, high quality that you can't find at big box retail stores. Lots of Bluebonnet and Texas prints. The customer service is beyond words. The ladies are so helpful, friendly and smart. They're good teachers and willing to share their knowledge or help where they can if you ask questions about your projects. Something I find particularly helpful, personally, is every time I've come in they've assisted me in choosing coordinating fabric colors. I have a hard time matching colors and they're very good at it. I really appreciate they do that for me and my projects don't look like a mess.

Beautiful fabrics. Great atmosphere and super sweet people. Prices are higher than other fabric stores, but the quality is better. So you get what you pay for in this case.

I love Mesquite Bean! I've shopped with them since they were at the Alamo Heights location. The staff is the BEST and always want to talk about whatever project you're doing or material you need. I've asked for and used their quilting advice several times. The shop is adorable and easy to navigate, and they have a great supply/thread selection as well. I'd recommend them to anyone in the SA area!

I was looking for specific Texas prints & was pleasantly surprised by what I found there, plus many prints I wasn't looking for. I spent over an hour roaming & looking. The lady behind the counter was very nice & helpful, I really enjoyed being in the shop & plan on returning to San Antonio just to shop there. I live 6 hours away but it will be worth the drive for quality fabric & the relaxed & helpful atmosphere.

Love the bean. I first went there when I was taken by a friend for shop hop. That was my first experience, along with all the knowledge these ladies have. They are always ready to help, and give great suggestions. They used to be next to my sisters office, and she would constantly be there talking to them, adding to her collection. Now, my sister is going through withdrawals without them. Great shop for all your quilting needs.

I love Mesquite Bean Fabrics! The selection of fabric is gorgeous. I adore the Tula pink lines especially. I also loved the selection of solid or almost solid fabrics. There was even a friendly shop dog when I visited. The only drawback for me is that I live far enough away that it’s a real time commitment to come visit.

When traveling I love to stop & visit local quilt shops. The Mesquite Bean Fabrics did not disappoint. I was greeted when I entered. They were friendly, answered all my questions, made suggestions for products & all the materials I would need to complete my projects. I found 3 quilts I had to have. Nancy was so helpful in finding just the right colors. Can't wait to return to San Antonio.

I have been a customer from the beginning of Mesquite Bean and watched them grow. This shop is the most accommodating quilt store I have been in. I am not an accomplished quilter and Bean has gone beyond my expectations and my quilts have looked great. Also I have taken several classes which were fun and helpful. Out standing quilts...

They have an excellent selection of gorgeous quilting fabric. And the samples hanging up (for which they sell kits, often) are incredible. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I wish it was easier for me to visit because it's such a beautiful shop!

I visited the Mesquite Bean Fabrics shop and I was totally impressed. The employees were extremely helpful and so cheery. The fabric collections were exactly my favorite types of fabric (Kansas Trouble, Kim Diehl, Debbie Maddy, Primitive Gatherings, and they even had gorgeous Aboriginal fabrics).

Such a great quilt shop! They have friendly staff along with their mascot, Jane (a dog) who loves to say hello to all customers who come in to the store. They have multiple options for fabrics and quilt kits. They also offer the quilting designs on your quilts with a long arm machine and have tons of options! They were so great helping me choose my first design for my first quilt and have been wonderful since! I am part of a block of the month club where we make a quilt square once a month for a year to stay active with the hobby and to learn some new techniques. They also offer a variety of classes and workshops! With it being a small local shop the price is on the medium to high end, but we'll worth it supporting a small business and for great quality products!!

We stopped here during the semi annual shop hop. For those that don't know, a shop hop is wen several quilt shops all get together and have an event over several days. Sort of like a pub crawl without the beer but plenty of pretty quilting material, drawings and treats. Akin to trick or treating but can be very costly depending on how much material one buys! We were greeted by the super friendly shop dog which escorted us to the place where we signed in for all the drawings and goodies. The staff was very friendly and I found this quite amazing considering the number of quilters they have encountered over the previous few days. Many hundreds more than a usual day.
They have a nice collection of fabrics and accessories for the quilting folks.

I love Mesquite Bean!! Great store for quilters with a large selection of high quality fabrics, products that can be difficult to find elsewhere -- like Quilters Select, and a friendly staff. This is my go-to store for quilting!

Very nice store. Lots of beautiful fabric to choose from. I have used their long-arm quilt service twice. They do great work at a good price with quick turnaround. The staff is very helpful.

We went to Mesquite Bean during the Bluebonnet Shop Hop. The shop was packed with fabric! The employees were pleasant even though it was near closing time. The staff went the extra mile looking for a particular panel for my friend. We will return.
