I had the most amazing care at this facility. The staff was very educated and well rounded. I recommend this place for any ER care that is needed. I went in having a panic/ anxiety attack that was lasting 3 days and Dr. Brian Lee was very attentive and actually listened to how I felt. Thank you very for the help that I received there. Will definitely bring going back if needed

I was seen in the ER last week for a heart attack and everyone was great . I was then transported to okc the heart center. I appreciate everyone's professional and efficient way of handling me and my family. We are so fortunate to have our hospital in our town. Thank you again.

Just released from hospital after a week of double pneumonia. The nurses there were excellent. They took very good care of me. I was really impressed with them!

Wonderfully caring professional people from the receptionist, nurses, and doctor.
I was treated quickly and thoroughly. I arrived in distress, and left with joy in my heart.

I went in for moderate/severe pain from a kidney infection, and dehydration. The staff was quick, efficient and compassionate. I’m not from the area so I was nervous, but very pleased with the help I received. Thank you Atoka

The ER had some of the most experience nurses. For a small hospital, it has amazing care.

The wait was short but some of the staff was very rude. I have an autistic 3 year old that my mom who was my ride kept him busy in the waiting room the staff was very rude to her. 2 days later I tested positive for the COVID because none of the staff washed their hand when they came into my room

0/10 do not recommend. Currently at the ER with my boyfriend that came in for 7/10 abdominal pain, headache with light sensitivity, metallic taste he can't get rid of and recent labs for elevated liver enzymes. Dr. Lee acted pretty hostile in questioning him and acted like he is an inconvenience.
After tests came back he was a little nicer when he figured out he wasn't faking it but then stated he thought he only had light sensitivity and didn't hear about the headache the light was causing. Probably because he wrote him off as unimportant. Even though he turned the lights down to help with the pain it caused.
Not one nurse other than the one that started his IV has had on gloves or sanitized. The lab tech didn't even have on gloves when obtaining blood. Used bare fingers to locate the vein after wiping the area with alcohol. She then stuck the needle in the same place she just touched without gloves or sanitizing. His IV hub was never capped or cleaned once prior to fluids being administered, even after the hub was open to air for more than an hour. Not once did they bring a swab to clean or even put on gloves. As a nurse I was unaware of thus protocol change. I must have missed that somewhere. This is unsafe nursing care. As a nurse I expect better. It is both dangerous for the patient and nursing staff to continue with these practices. Do better!!!

My grandfather was taken to Atoka Medical Center having a fever of 105.7. He is currently battling cancer and his oncologist wanted him to be admitted to the hospital to determine the cause of the high fever as his treatments have been going well. When he went in, he was not really responsive and could not tell us basic information (This is the complete opposite of how he was a few hours prior - he is able to have conversations and has his full cognitive abilities.). After only a few hours, the ER doctor determined they could not find anything and he would be discharged unable to talk, unable to walk, and a shell of the person he was before going into this hospital. When we told them that was unacceptable and his oncologist determined he needed to be in the hospital, we asked for him to be transferred to Texoma Medical Center instead of being sent home unable to care for himself. The ER Doctor then informed us that it would be her decision based on her diagnosis and if TMC would even take him. Fast forward to 24 hours later he was transferred to TMC based on direct orders from his oncologist to transfer him (who was only consulted because we were persistent they discussed with his oncologist). Thankfully, TMC has a great staff and he is being treated and back to his normal funny, lovable self.

Atoka County Medical Center wrote my grandfather off and was willing to let him go home with swelling on the brain and no diagnosis or treatment plan. Please do not take your loved ones here; the lack of care and empathy showed when the doctor got defensive about us finding a doctor/hospital who would take the time to help get him back to himself. Unfortunately the staff that we met here were not on our team!

They called me. When I returned the call and said they had left me a voicemail whoever answered the phone just hung up? RUDE.

Literally the worst care anyone could receive. The ER treats you like they could care less. They’re just doing it for a paycheck. Left me in a room for 2 hours when I was begging to be checked on to go to the bathroom and almost peed myself.

My sister took her 8 month old to the ER because she was having trouble breathing. There was not a lot of people in the waiting room. People were called and left. She had to wait 3 hours before being called back.
