I recently visited the Bellevue Mill apartments, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I stepped in, I knew this place was special.

First and foremost, I want to give a big shout out to Kendra Barkley, the community manager. Kendra is not just friendly but incredibly understanding. She goes above and beyond to ensure that I felt heard and valued. Her dedication to making this community a welcoming and vibrant place is truly commendable.

The Bellevue Mill apartments are a hidden gem in the world of housing. They have a rich, unconventional, and historic charm that's perfect for the eclectic artistic soul. If you're someone who loves an urban vibe and values a sense of history in your living space, this is the place for you. The blend of modern amenities with the unique character of the mill is something you won't find anywhere else.

One of the best aspects of this place is the pricing. It's a steal! You get so much value for your money, making it accessible to a wide range of people. The affordability here is a rare find in today's rental market.

I must also mention Tyler, the leasing consultant. Tyler is not only professional but also a lot of fun to work with. He made the leasing process smooth and enjoyable, and his outstanding service left a lasting impression.

In conclusion, Bellevue Mill apartments are a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a distinctive, artistic, and urban living experience. Kendra Barkley and her team have created a welcoming and supportive community that I can't wait to be apart of.

Highly recommended!

I absolutely love my apartment!!! The huge windows give my apartment so much good/natural light and the community is very quiet, which is perfect considering I work from home. Kendra was beyond helpful when assisting me with my move in. She was kind in every sense of the word and answered all my questions professionally and promptly. Couldn't have asked for a better move-in experience.

We have been living here 5 months. We've read the previous reviews prior to leasing. We were concerned about some of the complaints of noise and mold. However, our experience is very positive. Jessie, the property manager, takes care of any issues in a timely manner. He is very personable and helpful. We have never had issues with mold or bugs or garbage pickup. All the air filters have been replaced since Jessie became property manager. They had appeared to have been neglected since construction. This neglect affects air quality. We noticed it immediately.
The location is great, Close to Gold Park and Riverwalk Trail. The smell from Hillsborough BBQ on Wednesdays is mouth watering.
Suggestions: more landscaping to soften the prison look!

I’ve been here for 3 years and Valarie is the ONLY reason why I give this place 5stars. She was so friendly and always responded to our needs promptly. I was terribly disappointed to hear from Zach that she transferred. She was by far the best property manager we’ve had at Bellevue, EVER! I hate she is no longer here. The new lady Cindy is non responsive…but you can find her chain smoking cigarettes in front of the building if you need anything. Valarie if you see this the community misses you and wants you back!!! I know your new community is delighted to have you :)

I have lived at Bellevue for 7 months and while there are pros and cons, as with ANY apartment complex you may live in, it is by far one of the coolest and nicest. Friendly, compassionate staff, dedicated to making residents lives better. 6/5 stars, without question.

I don't live there, we live right behind it. If there is still toxicity lingering from dusty clouds for weeks during building - there could be issues.
Other than hearing dance music echoes like a 'spring break' TV movie soundtrack, it's a nice area for new folks who can afford it.

The fact that management only responds to positive reviews while ignoring all of the critical reviews should raise a red flag to any interested, potential tenant (Check yourself, they only respond to 5 star reviews) Of course they love the praise, but when they have to address something that requires thought, explanation, and work, they don't want to deal with it. It's pretty clear. Stay away.

I have lived at Bellevue for three years now, and every single year they have raised the rent. So be advised, when factoring price, that it is going to be a bait-and-switch type deal.
While rent continues to go up, the service declines. They got rid of the two maintenance people who initially provided great service, making sure air filters were replaced on schedule etc. Now nothing. The air filter was so dirty when I removed it myself, that it was no wonder the ac was not working correctly. I've had a major maintenance issue (and a few minor) that have just been ignored. After politely asking, and re-asking, and re-asking for months, I have now just given up. The same has happened to other neighbors I've spoken with.
Lastly, and this has been the least of my problems, though it has caused a few neighbors I've known to break their lease, and move out, is the noise level. I've heard that they tell new people that it is the 100 year old walls that are the issue, sounds nice, but not true. It is instead the very recently built dividing walls that were cheaped-out and built without any insulation at all. So you will, unfortunately, hear your neighbors, and they will hear you.

SAVE YOUR MONEY... unless you like cockroaches, hearing your neighbors every move, broken 'amenities', and getting completely ignored by management!! I have been living here for almost two years and the new management company is HORRENDOUS!! They add extras fees to your rental bill and will ignore your calls until your rent is late so they can charge you additional late fees... There is apparently no way to contact higher management which I have never experienced in my 10+ years of apartment living. Most of the 'amenities' have been broken or 'off use' for months including the elevator. I would love to know where the rent money actually goes because it's definitely NOT used to maintain the property!! I loved this place in it's early days, it had so much promise, but it has become an extremely overpriced dump!! Think twice and read the other reviews before considering signing a lease!

Think twice about signing a long term lease. Place is severely overpriced for the amenities it provides. Lack of ground maintenance. There is bird poop, dog poop, and trash across the lower sidewalks. Lack of apartment maintenance. Half the things in the activity room are broken and don't get repaired for days on end. if you have an issue you likely wont get assistance for several days. Paying for utilities costs about the same as a place double or triple the size somehow... must be poor insulation. Personally I feel the place is over priced, poorly managed, and I get the feeling they don't care. Most of the issues can be resolved easily for a low cost per month. instead of focusing on quality of life for the tenants it seems the focus is on making the highest profit margins.

Think twice.
Beautiful renovation in a beautiful town. I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to move into the old cotton mill--a cotton mill where some of my family members actually worked in decades past and, as a native, have always found fascinating and an integral part of Hillsborough's bones. What I didn't realize was that the acoustics of the apartments allow for even the most subtle of noises from your neighbors to permeate your personal space. From text message alerts to urinating to even more private moments, everything can be heard. When I brought this up with other tenants, I found that they had had similar, absurd stories. Management has been aware of this and has not offered the least in terms of rectifying the issues. I offered solutions, but even minor suggestions were dismissed (I was, however, at one point told to buy a rug). I know in the end I'm simply another tenant, and I"m sure there's a waitlist a mile long for the next group of people willing to pay a premium for a "neat" place, but as someone who grew up in Hillsborough, and who has seen the empathy and care with which I attach to this town flourish in other parts of the community, it's a shame to be dismissed in this way. But this message is not for me, but for you: if you are thinking of renting here, just know that you will hear every scrap of sound made by your neighbors, and they will hear your private conversations and intimate moments.
It's pretty though.
