Fifth Street Books

Really great used bookstore near Mebane (short drive from Durham/Hillsborough). All books are 99 cents or less. Lots of great selections of books from all genres, fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, etc. there are some seatings inside if you want to read some books. Friendly staff. The store accepts credit card and there are plenty of parking available. If you are into books and live/visit in the area, this place is a must-visit!!

There are SO many books here! They have an enormous selection of children's books as well as romance books. There's definitely something for everybody here! Children's books are 39 cents everyday and about once a month they have a sale where all of the books are that price! Just be prepared to dig if you coming looking for a specific book! Because it is in a warehouse, it does get hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

Great little gem of a used book store to dig around. They do accept book donations. Please help them out! The woman at the counter was happy to answer any questions. I found a lot of hardback 1960s cookbooks for 99cents to use as decor and interesting to glance through. My husband racked up on a box full of paperbacks he had been looking for.

Love this bookstore. I have built a whole library out of this store. I buy boxes every time I can make it to the warehouse. I could spend a whole day in there.

This used bookstore is very nifty! We loved it. Children's books & small paperback books are 99 cents and almost everything else was $1.99. We left with a box full of gems!

I absolutely loved this store. I also absolutely love books and so does my three year old. She loved this store also and was able to sit and read while I perused and found books for myself. They have ever kind of book you may be looking for plus more of any kind of book. Great place if you love books and love to read. Kid friendly too, where can you go wrong? Great prices also. Well worth the time to look.

I have placed two very large orders for children's books with Fifth Street, the latest being an order for 5,000 books. Both of my experiences have been exceptional. The books are of very good used quality, they were packed well, and they arrived on time.

Fifth Street Books is a giant warehouse full of books. All books sell for 0.99 cents or less. They have all genres of books to look through. Most of the shelves are labeled from cookbooks, fiction, non-fiction, romance (yuck), and others. Please have plenty of time to look through their enormous collection of books, because you will need it. They have plenty of children books if you need some for you little ones or you want to give away as gifts. You will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of literature pleasures you will find at this location. Stop by and check it out for yourself.

Lots and lots of books that are nicely priced. The building doesn't seem to have heat or air conditioning so it would be a good idea to dress appropriately.

The 3rd week of each month on Thursday ,Friday and Saturday their books are on sale for 35 cents. Which is a great deal. On the other days they are 99 cents. Cash only. The staff are great. It is one of the largest book warehouse I have ever seen.

Well I was not in there for long. But the only thing that comes to mind is HEAVEN! If you are like me and read like a book a day then this can make you the happiest person alive. I have to say the books are used but most of what I saw they were in good condition! My mother is a 1st grade teacher and her eyes just lite up like a two year on Christmas morning. If you are a book person then I suggest you take a trip to the little town of Mebane, NC.

Book heaven. Has an overwhelming collection of books at bargain prices. I always go on the third weekend of the month when they usually have discounts on books. They also gave me discounts for being a teacher, which was nice.

Has a variety of books for a $1 or less. I love to browse the many shelves of books, movies and music and get something that I don't already have or something for my nieces and nephews.

There is no better place to get used books. Period. Prices are 99 cents, except on the 3rd weekend of the month when everything is a quarter. Teachers are half off everyday. Ten dollars gets you 40 books on 25 cent sale. They might not have the exact book you want, but then it is a used bookstore, not a order it if we're out Barnes and Nobles.
