An excellent place to enjoy nature. Easy drive and looking for wildlife was so much fun. The roads are gravel and well maintained. Its easy to get around and explore the area. Not possible to get lost so jump in your car and go enjoy an afternoon.

I had a great time photographing birds today. There were many Hawks, mallards, geese, snow geese and a few eagles who waited patiently while I took they're pics. Saw a mass assention of white fronted geese and snow geese. Had to be a few thousand. Plus had the area to myself! Another bonus.

This place in my opinion is the jewel of Missouri conservation in waterfowl. From a management of multiple years of flood damage and loss of trees is a example other conservation areas need to follow.
