Westminster Cemetery

it was a wonderful place, I had a great time

I was unaware of these rules when I placed wreathes on several of my family members graves in early December. I guess society as a whole and this cemetery corporation specifically are stooping so low that you can no longer show any reverence for deceased family members. As a veteran, I am guessing veterans are no longer honored with an American flag on their grave (onVeterans Days) either by this cemetery. This is deplorable. Just another sign of the spiritual deterioration and decline of American society. If you need someone to clean the graves off, the Cemetery Board of Directors should talk to the director of the Carroll Co Detention Center and have the inmates clean them off. They need to earn their three hots and a cot.

They do take pretty good care of their property. However, when they made changes to their rules of what you can and can't set at a grave site they did not notify anyone about their new regulations unless you were a donator to the grounds maintenance crew, I was not aware they had such a thing, so they took amongst themselves to take loved ones property such as crosses, angels, flowers etc. and discard them so they say (probably in someone elses garden), that people pay good money for and throw away, a loved one to Father had an ornament that sat on the grave stone not in the grass that had been there for 19 years that was my Father's favorite animal and solar lights I myself had there was also discarded, to me that is totaly disrespectful to the family and my Father, they claimed when I called the cemetery management that they had no one to contact, well let me see...my Father's full name was on the head stone so there was someone they could have contacted that knew my Father and gave the belongings to one of the family members. Totaly wrong, unexceptable business practice, all I got was I'm so sorry, that doesn't make up for what had been sitting there for 19 years that had much sentimental value to my family.

No flowers allowed on graves?
