Baton Rouge General - Mid City

The best experience I’ve ever had at any hospital. The staff is phenomenal from housekeeping to the nurses and doctors. Everyone is attentive, informative, caring and loving. They made my mom stay so comfortable. I was kept in the loop about everything that was going on with her. Very thorough. There’s just not enough words that can describe our stay. I forgot to mention the cleanliness of the rooms and entire building. The physical and occupational therapist were awesome also. Thanks to entire staff.

Went to this hospital in critical condition (clinically dehydrated with hypokalemia and acute nausea and vomiting) and was seen right away. My nurses and doctor were VERY caring and responsive and did whatever they could to make me more comfortable. They got me in and out as quickly as possible and were so nice while doing it. I’ve had so many bad experiences with healthcare in Baton Rouge but this place was awesome.

This was my best hospital emergency room experience. The staff is very friendly and everything went great. I couldn't believe i was done within an hour and I left feeling great. They did a great job. I would recommend this hospital and if I do have to go again, this is the hospital I would go to. If you need something bandaged up, I hope you get Valerie. This young lady does her job with so much love you FEEL it!! My experience is one of the reasons im in a great mood despite my leg having staples in it 😊

Had a long wait in the ER but was admitted on New Years Eve and had to stay multiple nights with MRSA staph infection. I want to express my thankfulness to my nurses April and Autumn and Dr. Dewitt and the few I cant recall names of. In a time of hopelessness, they treated me with respect and care.

I would like to thank the staff at Baton Rouge general midcity emergency room for my treatment on yesterday everyone was so kind and sweet I would like to give a special things to Miss Terry and her assistant I cannot remember her name I think she works in the respiratory department of the ER with all that being said thank you all for your help keep up the good work I hope not to see you soon but if I have to I know where to go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a wonderful experience at BRG midcity. I went to the ER for severe leg pain & the doctors found something more going on in my body. I’m so very grateful for my nurses & doctors at BGRMC for taking me seriously, listening to me, & really caring about my health. I was admitted to the hospital & stayed 2 nights. Omg! The nurses were amazing!! I was a little sad I had to leave. They were there for anything I needed. The doctors were wonderful. They answered all of my questions & I never felt rushed. I am definitely a BRG girl for life! I’m so grateful for midcity becasue it is so close to my home! Definitely recommend! Can I also say the EKG techs, ER techs, just everyone is phenomenal! They treat you like family!

Dr. Short in the burn unit is incredible. She is easy to talk to and has a really confident, friendly demeanor that helps put you at ease. I had never been to the General until our little boy suffered a burn recently. The staff we encountered were amazingly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Wow

I was really really nervous!!!!!! Don't like needles but, the entire staff, from the front desk, vitals taker and nurses WERE EXCELLENT!!!!! THIS WILL BE MY 4 TH OF 5 INFUSIONS and I be looking forward to going!!!!!! Even the other people who are there getting infusions are nice and friendly.🤗🤗

I so very highly recommend BR General Midcity! from the second i walked in to the moment i walked out i was greeted by the most amazing staff! From the lovely lady who checked me in, to my amazing nurse Kristy, to the very kind attentive Dr Pfeffere (thats spelled wrong). even the guards upon exit were polite in great spirits. i hate hospitals. im an anxiety patient. I willnever again have reservations about seeking help if its MidCity i get to see! Thank you all so much! your all super brave heroes and highly appreciated!

Baton Rouge Burn Unit saved my life. In 2007 after helping rebuild from hurricane damage I was hit by a power line and helicoptered to there. I was in a coma for a month and a half and they had to amputate my legs . For about 2 weeks I had breathing issues in my coma and a temp of 104.5 and they didn't know why. They had a specialist there and figured out I had contracted E Coli in my lungs . Had it not been for the quality care and constant search for the problem I would no longer be here I don't think. I owe them however many years I continue to have. Im now 36 years old and I 100 % owe the last 8 years to them. They treated me great after my coma and the ladies even said they let me brush their hair , which I apparently love to do lol , while they took care of me. Or maybe they just let me think that for a free hair brushing .Either way TY : )

My son was in the burn unit after a bad accident and he got the best of care. All of the doctors and nurses, with exception for two or three, we're wonderful.

The staff, doctors and nurses are the best I've ever dealt with in my life I recommend anybody who needs emergency treatment or just a good doctor this is the place for you!

Please note this hospital DOES NOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY ROOM! Great friendly care and service!
