Capital City Grill

Stopped here for dinner one evening when I came to town for work. Sat at the bar & had a really great conversation with the bartender who shared some local insight and a phenomenal dinner. The spoon bread is delicious! Highly recommend!

I have Absolutely Nothing bad to say about this Eatery. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. The tables were clean & the staff was professional and friendly. The food was smokin' hot 🔥( hot as in temp, not spice) & tasty! Our waitress was a doll! (Angelique)

Baby I have to give it to the kitchen staff...EVERYTHING WAS WELL SEASONED & THE STEAK WAS SO JUICY. The boudin balls were fried perfectly & the pasta was amazing.

Excellent food at an excellent price. I had the blackened chicken breast, mashed potatoes and broccoli. I'm biased because this is one of my favorite meals, but it was absolutely full of flavor delicious and the plentiful portion. I will definitely be back!

This is the best meal I've had eating take out in a while. It was hot and fresh when I picked it up and a bite of the salmon infused with honey garlic is so good! I'm very satisfied! Only disappointment is there is no parking :(

I haven’t had a dish I didn’t like from Capital City Grill, and I’ve been there at least five times with coworkers. The crawfish etouffee is really good, the boudin balls are amazing and the fried pickled okra are quite tasty as well! The pomegranate martini was nice treat. I always look forward to coming here.

My daughter and I enjoyed a late lunch here after visiting the LSU Museum of art. Service was prompt and attentive. We enjoyed salads and my Pecan chicken salad with Dijon dressing was excellent, very substantial serving. Her Cesar salad was wonderful. Grilled chicken was piping hot. I would definitely return. My only complaint would be the volume of the hard rock music playing. I love rock and roll but The Cult wasn’t great dining music.

First time at CAPITAL CITY GRILL in Baton Rogue. Parking is challenging!!! There is a parking lot about 2 blocks away ($7 for 2 hours).

The crawfish cornbread was fantastic. I ordered an extra order of crawfish. The cornbread was moist. The tiny hints of jalapeños were just enough. The banger shrimp were good. The queso was good. I didn't try the medium steak. However, I was told it was good perfect.

7/10 banger shrimp
7/10 queso and chips
8/10 steak

If ever traveling to Baton Rogue, we would give this place another try.

We stopped by here on our way back home to Texas. For starters we tried the avocado egg rolls and they were so good! I had the bottomless mimosas with pineapple juice. We also had the chicken biscuits, chicken fried steak with green beans & smashed potatoes, the hush puppies & shrimp. Everything tasted so delicious! We were so stuffed. Staff was friendly, our waitress was Madison and she was very nice & attentive. Bathrooms were clean. We sat inside but they do have several seating outside.

Came on a Sunday afternoon. Great food, excellent service! Def a place to come if u are in the area. Dress up, dress down, either work! If you get cold easily, make sure to bring a jacket.

The gumbo was delicious and the etoufee was excellent. The salmon was one of the best we've had at a restaurant; perfectly seasoned. The staff are very helpful and courteous.

My wife and I came here while traveling back to Houston. This place went above and beyond to make sure our son was safe from allergies in the food. He has a severe allergy to dairy, eggs and tree nuts. The food here was excellent! We really liked their drinks. My wife and I both had old fashioned whiskey drinks. Also we got the dessert that was some type of ice cream cake. It was absolutely delicious!Thank you guys for a wonderful dining experience!!

If you are in the area looking for the perfect spot, please go here!! I didn't want to eat ANYWHERE else if was so good!! The Catfish Orleans was amazing! Fresh, well seasoned, huge portions! Seriously, What more can you ask!! Aiden was our waiter two days in a row! He was so nice, so very helpful and completely patient. Thank you for two days of an enjoyable experience! Try the Boudin balls, they were awesome!!

We wondered around Downtown Baton Rouge, LA, and were looking for a great place to try some cajon food. We were very impressed with Capitol City Grill. If ever in the area, check it out.

Very busy and noisy. Had to wait for a table for 25 mins. Once seated, the waitress did get our orders in asap. Food was delicious!! Over all I'll give a 3.5.

Not the greatest service I've ever had (outdoors customers probably get to wait a bit), but the food was really very good. My steak and mac 'n' cheese was really exceptional; steak was perfectly cooked, and like many places, the beer selection was outstanding.

Food was above average - good work for chef. Service was oki from my waitress although the reception wasn't the most qelocminy and accomodating. Overall good, you won't be necessary disappointed.

Short walk from our hotel and well worth it! Cocktails were on point and the catfish and etouffee were so good. Wide variety for all tastes. Highly recommend.

Service is phenomenal(shout out to Ashley). Food is delicious, their grilled chicken is 11/10. I have a perfect dining experience every time I come.
