The Sunflower Gardens

This is an awesome experience, I loved every minute of visiting. $18 for a bouquet you cut yourself, it's the best anti-stress medicine you can find. They've done a beautiful job, the little details you'll find are so sweet. The staff is wonderful too, I'll be back!

I came here with my friends today. They provide scissors and baskets to pick flowers… and they put it together for you at the end and make it a bouquet 💐.Thanks to Troy for great suggestions about how to keep flowers alive longer. Amazing place if you like nature.. and you can also take really cute pictures here.

This place is absolutely beautiful! So many flowers to pick from! The bouquet is paid when you purchase your ticket. They have some vases for sell very unique and vintage items. Do recommend!

The owner was so kind, and the gardens were so well kept and nice. The pathways were nice and grassy, and they have baskets and snipping tools on hand for you. Even though our group went late in the month, there were still so many sunflowers available to choose from! They usually have water bottles for $1 and sell a few other things for sale as well. Everything is outside and there is an available portable bathroom. Parking was easy as well. I think tickets are required now, so just be aware of that.

Definitely a must go if you can, the gardens were beautiful regardless and it was so wonderful to see quite a few sweet bees out in nature.

Went there a couple weeks ago. It was great! Very family friendly, gorgeous flowers, and the owner is wonderful!

Had a lovely day here. There was a huge variety of flowers and several types of sunflowers. The people who worked there were so nice. Highly recommend.

Hidden gem! Staff were very nice and there was a bigger range of flowers than I was expecting. They have TONS of adorable props out that are perfect for photos and also add to the quaint factor as you pick your flowers. There was a chalk board my daughter LOVED and chickens to see too.

This is a beautiful place. It isn’t acres and acres of sunflowers but there are still a lot (3 gardens total). This is easily walkable for small children and a GREAT place to take really nice pictures. You can pick and pay for sunflowers to take home and just relax as you walk through the garden. Also, this is a great couples date as well.

COVID precautions: there are signs that ask that you wear a mask when coming within 6ft of someone but I spread out far enough to where I didn’t wear mine unless I got around someone. (There were very few people around and I went around 12:30pm on a Thursday. I’m sure it’s more crowded on the weekend.) When it came to purchasing staff did have on masks. There are people who entered the facility without a mask but again there’s enough space where you don’t have to come in contact with anyone. I plan to go again and bring my DSLR camera. This place is beautiful and worth the drive.

Fun place for the family, date or a taking great photos. Everyone is friendly and helpful. You pick your own flowers. A bouquet is $13. They provide you with the shears and a basket. After you checkout they will provide you with a bag of water or you may purchase a vase with water.

This place is beautiful. Lots of sunflowers and wildflowers to pick for yourself. They provide clippers and buckets/baskets to use while you pick. You can purchase a vase from them, or for us since we had a decent drive home they gave us a bucket of water for free. Very nice and polite staff

Beautiful garden! It's only $13 for a massive bouquet of cut-your-own flowers (mostly sunflowers, plus lots of wildflowers for your bouquet) with no entrance fee. I brought a big water bottle to transport my flowers home in my car's cupholder. They provide clippers and accept credit cards. There are tons of places to take pictures, and even cute props for kids to play with, like wheelbarrows, tractors, wagons, and chairs. They have chickens that you can feed (for free). There is a port-a-potty at the parking area. There are grass paths everywhere but it is fairly steep and rough...not a problem for walking, but it was hard to push a stroller. The employee was really nice and helpful.

UPDATE 2019: For people who don't pick flowers, there is now a $5 entry fee if you are only taking photos--totally worth it as there are a ton of cute places to take photos!!

Made a special trip out here one afternoon. The best place to get fresh flowers in Maryland! Worth the drive. There are so many flowers to pick from. They provide scissors to cut and baskets to hold your flowers. The owner even gave us a bucket with fresh water to take home with us for our long drive to keep the flowers healthy.

Absolutely beautiful place in full bloom. We go every year. The pick your own flowers are more then fairly priced and always a great selection of pre cut flowers for purchase as well.
