Racers Retreat Bed and Breakfast

Wow!!! A+++. This was our first time ever staying in a Bed and Breakfast and geez, have we been missing out. The innkeeper Alise was a FABULOUS host, great chef and just an absolute pleasure. She couldn’t have been any more accommodating. The Racer’s Retreat is immaculate and the breakfast is to absolutely die for. Our family had all 3 rooms for the last few days and the feeling was mutual among us all. We would absolutely go out of our way to stay here whenever in this area of Georgia. This place is awesome. My wife and I went there our 25 wedding anniversary and was treated like royalty. This is one of our go to places to stay. Anybody would be crazy to overlook this place to stay. The host was great

My wife and I stayed a night (last minute) for a wedding last Friday. The room was amazing and clean! The bed was super comfy! And the breakfast was AMAZING! Best breakfast I've ever had! The host was very friendly! We'll definitely be back when we come back for Winery visiting

This bed and breakfast was above and beyond anywhere else I have stayed. Very comfortable bed, the best pillows, and a large hot shower. Breakfast was phenomenal! The lovely lady who owns the place is very personable and she makes you feel like family. Many thanks and blessings to her for years to come. ❤

This was our second stay here while attending an event at Atlanta Motorsports Park, and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else! She's the sweetest lady in the world, and the food and conversation are always top notch. The room is always clean and comfortable, just so much more homey and personal than a hotel. 11/10, would recommend!

Best place I’ve ever stayed! My friends and I were here for a wedding and needed a place to stay and ended finding this hidden gem. The owner is very nice and accommodating to anything you need. The breakfast we had in the morning might have been the best overall breakfast I’ve ever had, was AMAZING. Seriously might just come back so that I can stay here again!

My husband I stayed one night because it was across from Atlanta Motorsports park. The room was very comfortable, the service was great, and her homemade strawberry muffins with cream cheese icing was the BEST I've ever tasted.

Great place to stay! We were involved in an event happening at the track across the way and this was not only a convenient location, but also a source of fun memories added to the weekend. The owner/operator goes above and beyond to accommodate and make the stay feel like a home away from home. Amazing food, conversation, and accommodations. We had an unexpected addition and she was able to put a cot in the room with no hassle. Also, may I reiterate, breakfast was fantastic!

Our family stayed in early April for a surprise event at the Atlanta Motorsports Park. We had two rooms and had just logged nearly 5000 miles in 9 states by the time we arrived. We typically stay in Ritz Carltons, Westin Resorts and JW Marriotts but our family voted Racer's Retreat the best stay at the end of our trip. Weary and hungry, the hostess/owner graciously accommodated our late arrival, our late dinner spread on the dining room table, and early departure the next morning. Our rooms were exceptionally furnished and clean, our stay was comfortable and restful, breakfast was exactly as we requested, and the convenience to AMP was the best. Our only regret was that we didn't plan ahead to stay longer. If you are attending an AMP event, you absolutely must stay here. Otherwise, you should detour from your regular plans and stay here anyway.

Alise was absolutely fantastic, super hospitable and accommodating. Everything was clean and very nice and above expectations....Yes the breakfast is as good as the other reviews, it is top notch.

All I can say is wow. We were in the area for a wedding and booked this hidden gem. Was not expecting the high end feel and service in this area, but my wife and I were blown away. The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating, the room was homey and well put together, and the location is very convenient for any of the local venues and attractions. Considering the alternatives for lodging in the area, this is far and away the best choice. Would recommend to anyone visiting Atlanta Motorsports Park or the surrounding area.

I wanted a very quiet and clean location while I attended an event at River Bend Gun Club. Racers Retreat was exactly what I was looking for. Very quiet location, my room was comfy and clean, the Wi-fi service was good, and breakfast was great. Next time I am in the area, I will be staying here again!

We arrived right at check-in time and we're greeted by the sweetest woman, who also happens to be the owner. This is a beautiful house right across from the Atlanta motor speedway. There are three bedrooms on the lower floor, a porch with big chairs to admire the mountain view, clean and huge rooms, breakfast of choice provided in the morning, and a private entrance to the rooms. Although this is clearly a home, the hosts give you complete privacy, do not intrude, and are quiet throughout the night and mornings to not wake guests up.

When we booked this room, we were expecting a simple cereal or egg breakfast, but the lady went above and beyond. We mentioned we are vegans and she said she had never cooked a vegan breakfast before, but was excited to try it out. We woke up in the morning to a delicious tofu scramble, fresh sliced avocado, sliced tomatoes on spinach leaves, a small dessert on the side, juice, hot coffee, and a glass jar of fresh fruit. The other guests enjoyed a ham and cheese frittata, I think, which they seemed to enjoy as well. I eat in small amounts and she had no problem packing my food up to-go.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to amicalola falls and would definitely stay here again. This place is a little gem in the mountains!

This Spring my husband and I decided to travel from rural Indiana to visit Gibbs Gardens near Atlanta Georgia and stayed in the very conveniently located Racer's Retreat. We found this B&B online and its lacation as well as the reviews and descriptions ot the accomodations encouraged us to make reservations. This B&B is truly a pleasant, relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Hostesses are most hospitable, tastefully decorated, and spotless. The breakfast experience was every morning a delectable experience with surprises every day. Our hostess is an amazing cook and our host went our of his way by inviting us to tour the members only car race track right accross the street which became an extra special experience for us as we watched the practice runs of a variety of cool cars in a beautiful track. If I could I would rate Racer's Retreat a ten. Since that's not possible it gets a big 5.

Nice little B&B that is very well kept up and immaculately clean. Everything you might need is provided and breakfast can easily be described as a feast. The location makes it a must for anyone with an early start for a track day at Atlanta Motorsport Park, which is literally across the street. I would go back again and I would gladly recommend the Racers Retreat to anyone visiting the Dawsonville area.

Fabulous Bed & Breakfast. Convenient, Quiet, Clean with Amazing food and hospitality. A true gem and I look forward to my business bringing me to this area more often so that I can stay with the Racers Retreat.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and everything we were hoping for! Located directly across the street from the entrance to Atlanta Motorsports Park which was perfect. The owner is super sweet and accommodating.
