El Mata Munchies Fusión

Okay okay, I've been neglecting making this review and here it is. This place is probably one of the BEST places I've ever had with true Puerto Rican food. The funny part about it is, without even seeing the flag or anything just by the vibes coming in you know it's a proud Puerto Rican who either owns it or runs it. The experience here is that similar to my New York Puerto Rican spots. I had appetizers, and their pizza empanada was to cry for. Their acapudia was that of when I would get them from my grandmother. Their ultimate topping was their flan... not an overaction, but it is a must try dessert! Here's the pictures 📸 can't wait to go again!

On vacation from New York stop here to eat as soon you walk in the place feels like home (Puerto Rico ) music,they had domino table ,they had billar old memories lanes from different stuff you feel like you home food was amazing the chef got 20/20 from us waitress was friendly the whole places make you feel so good was singing since I went in till went out will definitely go here again

5 stars ⭐- I had this placed Saved on my “Go to” places. Came here on a Sunday and it wasn’t full because it was 1 hr before closing time. But there was still plenty customers, so I can only imagine on a busy Friday or Saturday.
I love the atmosphere and the vibe at this place. They did a pretty good job with the PR 🇵🇷 theme! The music, the pool tables, domino table, and airplane seats 💺 makes you feel like you’re in a restaurant in PR!
The food was delicious 😋 I had the Arroz con gandules, sweet plantain and pernil it was 🔥! My girl got the “Costilla de Res” with Arroz con gandules Tostones and Guac. It was also very tasty the meat had a nice grilled taste. For appetizer we had the empanadas, hands down get the Beef one, over the chicken. Beef had cheese inside as well and was very flavorful! - $3 for ONE (a bit pricey for an empanada - 2 for $4 it’s probably where I would say it’s fair) but oh well. I don’t make the prices.
Overall very nice hidden spot in West Palm. I had driving by Military Trail so many times and didn’t know about it, but I’m glad I do now! Wepa! 🥘 🕺🏻

This place really amazed me with its menu options and how good the food is: Absolutely stellar. I started with a shrimp and meat taco. Both were exquisite. Next, I got the Empanadillas de pulpo (octopus turnover) and I loved it so much I had to get another one to-go. The flan was spectacularly rich & creamy without it being too sweet. I will definitely be bringing more people to have them discover this place, as should you!

Excellent service, the place is very cozy and the food is very delicious. The chicken soup took me back to my childhood when my grandmother prepared it for me. It is a very good place to eat and have a good time.

Excellent place to eat Puertorican food!

I had been trying for some time now to find the time to go by and try out their food and I was finally able to do so for lunch. They did not disappoint at all. I ordered the mofongo con masitas and the meat was so good and flavorful. The meat was juicy. The mofongo was adequate just right and not dry. I also ordered a Carne Empanadilla and it tasted like the ones I used to eat as a kid. Really good food with reasonable prices and I will definitely be going back again

This is the real deal right here. Good Puerto Rican food that has a great atmosphere. Plenty of room for large parties of people and even has domino table and pool tables. The food was great i had the quintupleta and wow super filling and the taste was spot on. Staff is very nice. Also good music playing the whole time i was there. I was told every Friday they have live music/DJ. Definitely on my to do list now.

The environment is super fun. I love the DJ and pool tables. The food is okay. The only thing that I find delicious is the chicken pinchos. I grew up on authentic Puerto Rican food so I’m a big critic and their food is average. You’ll have a good time with family and friends.

We had them cater a wedding for 200 guest for a wedding.The food was delicious.They arrived on time,very professional,on-time and easy to work with.They went above and beyond our expectations and helped to make our day special.Would highly recomend their services. The food was delicious. There was an area to play pool, play dominoes, and an arcade. There was music and a dance floor. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Awesome place.. great food.. 100% latin.. From Puerto Rico.. with the Island atmosphere and culture. Also great prices and very family friendly and dont miss the live entertainment on the weekends

Family friendly. Ordered for appetizer empanadilla de pizza and alcapurria de yuca. Entree fried chicken with arroz con gandules and masitas de cerdo con arroz y habichuelas. Dessert vainilla flan. Very attentive and courteous employees. This was our second time we went there. Had lunch previous day. Highly reccommend it. Reasonable prices, very good portions.

The food is always fresh. The employees always suggest to cook it fresh for you. Their subs are the best.

It was a very nice environment and food was good. Just 2 constructive comments: spend a little money and buy some better chairs (more comfortable and sturdier) and the house music (before the DJ or band plays) should be a little more typical music or variety instead of just regeton!!! But I can say we had a nice time and the DJ and band was great.

Great service, original Puertorican experience and the great foods. Family environment I will be back....
