The Dr. was very nice. Nurses were nice. Answered questions and did not make me feel like they were annoyed and recommended follow up care Drs. that actually take new patients.

Came here for a family member on a Sunday afternoon. Although they were busy, ladies at triage were quick and knowledgeable. Got my family member in right away.
ER DEPT: Sharon in admissions is very pleasant and fast paced when it comes to entering patient info. 5 stars. Rita in the ER is very sweet and knows how to draw blood quickly and painless on the first try. Very nice and understanding. Unlike other hospitals, they treat you like a human being and take all complaints regarding your health seriously. Great job!

So I had severe stomach issues I couldn’t stop throwing up when usually it’s just in the morning. and they checked for so many things and couldn’t find what exactly was wrong with me but my boyfriend wasn’t allowed back and my anxiety spiked thinking about having to be alone in a room so I started crying and asking if I could leave they said I technically could but I went there for a reason and calmed me down and I’m really glad they did… everyone treated me wonderful over here and was caring. I just wish they figured out what’s wrong with my stomach because here i am 2 months later and still throwing up every morning, I’m not pregnant they tested for that… and every gastroenterologist nearby either doesn’t accept my insurance or accepts it but is fully booked. So thank y’all for being here for me when I cant handle whatever is going on with my stomach… genuinely. They perscribed stuff to help the nausea and diarrhea and anti acids. I think I have some kinda Gerd and ibs combo that makes it impossible to sleep properly. I’m only 20… I just wish I could feel better I miss my mornings and normal days where I could move around and eat and do anything. Anyways hopefully when open enrollment comes around I’ll get myself better insurance and go see a gi specialist.

I arrived at the emergency room experiencing a hypertensive crisis. I was rushed in due to my unusually high BP 247/124. While I was being cared for several codes for other patients were being called. Doctors were working on patients in the hallways. It was organized chaos as the staff did the best they could to care for me and the other patients. My bed was initially in front of the nurses station, so I was forced to listen as the person answering the phone constantly had to inform other hospitals that they were at capacity. It was sad, but true. I watched the staff work tirelessly under the worst conditions. One nurse had a can of soda hurled at her head, another person stood arguing about redoing her breast surgery. A gentleman came in with what I believed was a gunshot wound. All the while the staff were in a constant state of motion, trying their best to save lives. Thus, I want to say thank you to a few stand out professionals who took care of me!

NURSE JUAN - EMERGENCY ROOM
With all that was happening my blood pressure was unresponsive to drug therapies. That's when a nurse, Juan, came to speak with me. They had run every test, taken vials of blood, and even pasted nitro glycerin on my chest. He spoke kindly and asked open-ended questions, giving me a space to feel safe and heard. He then moved me from in front of the busy nurses station and took very care of me in a quieter part of the ER.

NURSE VICTORIA - 3RD FLOOR
After being assigned to the third floor, I met Victoria. She is the bubbliest, sweetest nurse there. I enjoyed her southern colloquiums and excellent bedside manner. She understood the importance of listening to the patient. She helped to put me at ease as they tried different therapies to get my BP under control.

TAYLOR (NURSE INTERN 3RD FLOOR- NOT SURE OF POSITION)
This young lady was awesome. I believe she was interning. But she will make an awesome nurse. Very attentive, polite, and excellent bedside manner.

ALLEN (NURSE ASSISTANT - NOT SURE OF POSITION)
This gentleman made my stay so much better. He is extremely personable and kind. I appreciated how he took the time to converse with me. He is such a professional.

PHELBOTOMIST ( SORRY I CANNOT REMEMBER THE NAMES)
The night/early morning phlebotomist were absolutely awesome. I was constantly having blood work/labs. Honestly I had become a little scared of the needles after being poked and prodded so much. Until the night phlebotomist came on the 3rd day and was able to fill the vials on the first try. Awesome job!

It is not enough to simply say thank you, but to take the time to appreciate each and every person (sorry I do not remember all of your names) who places their life on the line to try and save others! Thank you to all of you at Wellington Regional! Sometimes, when people are in pain they don't see the effort, but I want to apologize to all of you for that. Please accept my heartfelt thank you!

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to the Security Guard, to kept my 6'5 husband company on the outside of the ER (due to COVID) as he prayed that I would be alright. You are awesome and we appreciate you so much!

Due to a hurricane last year I unexpectedly ended up giving birth at Wellington regional and while the hospital visit itself was fine; I still am dealing with issues with billing a year later. My first issue was that when you set up an automatic payment online there is no reference or explanation of a pay scale for minimum payment due.

At first I assumed the amount I was paying was fine because it was an option giving online. Only months later to receive phone calls and to be told my account was heading to collections for being behind less than 20 dollars.

I quickly paid the amount, they readjusted the direct deposit amount and everything was fine. Until 6 months later I again receive delinquent account notices for 8 dollars.

When I called they told me I was paying the right amount but they did not disperse it correctly to my accounts.

At this point I do not trust the hospital’s billing staff whatsoever to handle my accounts and have been very dissatisfied with my experience with them.

Had a laceration on the lip and was treated very unfriendly by some arrogant white young woman at the desk. Had an attitude with me right from the get-go when I walked in despite me bleeding profusely from the mouth, so very bad HR there.

I was guided 10 mins later to a room where I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the stitches I needed. The doctor who treated me was respectful and professional for whatever that counts.

The biggest downfall I have is the blank charges. Somehow stitches on the lip costs $1,000 with no X-ray or other tools; just simple stitches and anesthesia. This bill mutated to well over $3,000 despite my poor financial condition.

I would look for another hospital for better professionalism and no additional charges (especially for something that requires stitches). For some people not only is this place too out of the way, but its not worth the long-term hassle.

Never go to ER at Wellington. I was brought in to ER by ambulance with abdominal pain. I was assessed by nurse and put in waiting room. Never seen by Dr. Double over in pain slumped in chair for 2 hours. Was told I was not a priority. My family came and took me to Betshda East. Emergency gallbladder surgery. Wellington would have let me die in that waiting room
