Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County

My first time doing jury duty. It was a long process but they made it as enjoyable as possible. I did appreciate how patriotic the orientation was and then after a few hours of waiting the judge told us they didn't need us because they came to a verdict without a jury. We could have stayed till the end of the day or choose to leave and then not get paid the $15. I think everyone left. But the judge was very nice and showed tremendous gratitude to all of us.

I've been here many times and have never had a bad experience. The courthouse itself is very well kept and a nice looking structure. The staff here have always been very helpful and courteous. It can be confusing to navigate the building as there are poorly placed signs around the inside, but once you get your bearings it’s pretty straight forward 😊👍

As far as gov buildings go, it's nice. It is much larger and newer than most bureaucratic labyrinths. There is also a cafe inside, open to the public. Good coffee and super polite attendants in the cafe. It is a gov building, so if you want to visit the cafe, you'll need to go through security and face the magnificently rude, uncouth, but overpowered security agents who love to remind you that they are in control of your bin, the radar machine, and that wand that whizzes while they "scan" you with it. I have never met any security agent who used sensible, reasonable logic to interact with the public. Not here. Not in airports. It's a travesty, but it is part of the process if you find yourself in government buildings. Picture of the cafe is attached. I had it all to myself for hours.

I had the pleasure of being assisted by Sabrina (I wish I got her last name). She was so kind, helpful and is truly such a gem! Usually, dealing with anything court-related is such a headache but she was so knowledgeable and wonderful to deal with that it was a breeze. PBC is lucky to have an employee like her that would go to the lengths she did to help a client on the phone. Sabrina, you deserve it all! Thank you so much for your assistance.

Girl at ticket counter in room 2.23 was stellar. Waited professionally and courteously while I ranted and raved about having misplaced my insurance id twice. Walked me through it and got it all taken care of.

I have never had anything but a wonderful experience with everyone in the recording department at this branch. Every time I call or come in the employees are always so helpful and pleasant. So refreshing for a government agency! And so refreshing in my line of work!

Finding parking is always a challenge; however, my experience has been nothing less than exceptional, great customer service and professional support staff.

I was assisted by the sweetest woman in the Clerk and comptroller's office today, and I have to say I am impressed with the level of service she gave me. Not everyone at the courthouse is this nice, but they are not ALL as bad as the reviews claim. Just pray that when you call you get a nice person, and remember that your own attitude plays a huge role in how the person on the other end of the phone responds.

My license had been automatically suspended due to the computer showing late payment of a fine that I actually mailed in on time. However, due to Hurricane Irma the payment wasn’t actually posted until 10 days after the due date. I called the Palm Beach clerk of court office at 8:15 this morning. I waited less than 5 minutes on hold before speaking to a person. She said I needed to pay the fine then go to the DMV to have my license reinstated. I asked if she could speak to her manager about my situation given that the problem was due to the hurricane. I was on hold about 10 minutes while she did this. When she returned, she said they had waived my fine and updated my information in the computer but that I would still need to go to the DMV to have my license reinstated. However, when I called the DMV, my license was already valid again so whatever this manager did saved me a lot of time and hassle trying to explain my situation again to the DMV. I am very happy with the Palm Beach clerk of court and sincerely thank them for their help.

We went there for our marriage license and also to marry. It was a wonderful process the awesome staff helped from start to finish. They were so warm and friendly making our special day even better.
