Excellent staff that helps you in person! Kensha, Kareem, and Sassy were quite experienced, friendly, positive and helpful. I was lost in the permit process and they walked me through each step. It was refreshing to see a government agency that actually worked.

Amazing building department to work with! The inspection tracking is AWESOME. You don't have to sit around for 4 hours waiting for an inspector, instead just pull up the inspection history on ePZB! it tells you when the inspector completes his inspections and you can see when you are next!

When it comes to the team who take in permit applications and the cashiers they're excellent everything else has been pretty much average compared to other municipalities.

I had an issue with a permit but Nikki and Tamara went above and beyond to help me out. They were awesome

The departments within our county government are woefully unable to provide even mediocre customer service. Anytime I have tried to reach out to a department I don’t get a response for several days and that’s only after reaching out to my district’s commissioner to file a complaint. Tax paying citizens shouldn’t have to expend so much time and energy to resolve an issue. Time for retraining or restaffing.

People in this department treat us like they are the bosses and not there to help the tax payers. The fact that you have to wait at least 2 months to apply for a license is insane, and they try to make it more difficult for you not to get it. A license that they were not gonna need prior to July 1st.

Nobody answers phones or returns phone calls, despite the messaging service saying you will get a response within 24 hours. Unacceptably bad service.

Been trying for months and months just to get a permit approved to build a storage garage...I meet all the requirements , I have more than enough space on my property, they have no reason not to approve the permit.... It truly feels like they just do not want me to have it, and want to purposely hold the process up as long as possible to hold me back... Every single time I drive up there to make sure that I have all the required paperwork from them I have an employee tell me there is another document that I need as well. This is my fourth time having to drive 30 minutes up to the building division just because I have received wrong information from an employee that works there and it is just prolonging this process more and more. If you call in and try to get help over the phone the employees talk to you as if you are a joke. Treat you with horrible attitudes for no reason at all.... As if they are mad with their lives so they just want to try to ruin yours. I have never experienced anything like this from a work environment that is supposed to be professional and represents the county in which we live in.. there is nothing I can do and it is painful to know that they are just finding any reason to not approve a simple permit for a storage garage.

This is the worst building department to deal with. We had a permit take almost a year in plan review. After so many back and forth as and the paper work getting lost not once but twice our clients gave up! Then going on Facebook you can see they have men and women who work in plan review dancing around and posting signing songs.Not appropriate. Inspectors barely speak English, there are so many questions these reviewers have that should just be common knowledge. The rudeness in the several employees we have encountered with this job in PBC makes me grateful that most of our work is in the Town of Palm Beach. As usual, do better Palm Beach County
